Until he became the lowest-ranked master, his lonely and luckless life never changed.

Suddenly one day, a descendant injected him with a nanomachine, and the machine started ‘speaking’ to him.

[I am the seventh generation Nanomachine manufactured by Sky Cooperation, and I am operating as a central nerve connected to your brain.]

“What? What are you talking about?”

This was beyond the boy’s knowledge, he turned pale.

The Nanomachine linked to his cerebrum realized the User was not understanding a single word it said.

“Who are you, and why are you doing this to me?”

[“I am the seventh generation Nanomachine.]

“Nano Machine?”

[Yes, Nanomachine.]

The boy’s face hardened.

Mashin was the deity the Mashin Religion worshipped, along with the Sacred Fire.

The religions’ Master communicated with Mashin.

“Um, are you really Mashin?”

The boy knelt down and asked with a trembling voice. At this, the Nanomachine attached to his cerebrum realized it had been misunderstood.

I dropped it, I was liking it SO MUCH, because the MC never betrayed his way of thinking and wanted to be different than his father and wanted to obtain power by his own efforts....... BUT... I got really disappointed with the r*pe issue, and I hated how they try to justify it, there was no need for this type of plot for the MC to increase his powers, he has a powerful Nanomachine.... but yeah... conveniently it couldn't resolve the issue, that plot really wasn't necessary and it only... more>> shows how hypocritical the protagonist is, all his style of thought and desire for a different way of life went to waste, all because the author wanted to project himself through his carácter, what a waste that plot, it ruined the seriousness of the story. <<less

Started 100 manhwa chapters read 390 of the novel.

Review contains mild spoilers

Spoiler

It is fun to read at the start. At least in the manhwa. Up until where MC's revenge is complete. After that MC turns super OP and super ruthless with an arm cutting fetish lmao. Well it is called the demonic cult for a reason. Ruthless that he doesn't spare any enemies and cuts off loose ends regardless of gender. Eventually got boring when they introduce a death or s*x plot inguise of medical treatment. Even his lover and the family of the other person agreed. Super cringey and dumb. Then afterwards the girl is never even relevant to the story and fades in the background. The lover too. Actually, everyone beside the MC is just baggage and are almost kinda irrelevant imo.

[collapse]

If you like ruthless MC, I suggest you read it. <<less

Just ignore the force romance, cliche of yin yang r*pe LMAO thats so typical that I've read so many novel of that plot, a force r*pe to balance yinyang and the female char get either in love with MC or dies later. Just ignore that and the storyline is good enough for past time since it has a fast plot and fast power up to make you busy and forget the force romance and r*pe.

Theres a lot of hate for this novel. But honestly I like it. Spoilers past this point. There was a forced s*x scene, but the ML doesn't have a harem, sticks to the MF, and the romance is not really forced otherwise. For everyone dropping it at this scene then I guess they drop almost every 'romance' novel. Most of the chapters are focused on power growth and moves along. While its a fast power growth, I can't complain because the novel isn't stretched 1000+ chapters. All in all I... more>> just wish there was more. It is on a cliff hanger at 483. <<less

First it look interesting. Then it completely flat and boring. Fight, kill and repeat that many times. The only twist is about the real reason of nano injected by his descendant. Other then that completely boring

The synopsis doesn't do it justice, and makes it seem as if the MC treats the nano machines as a god, which is quickly fixed.

This is a great scheme and cultivation novel, suprising from KN that usually start off with their protagonist becoming OP straight away with barely any problems, but the protagonist actually has to train, even with the nano machines in him. There's also no obsession with wealth and all that crap thankfully.

It has the good elements of Chinese cultivation novels while leaving out the bad. There's no... more>> stereotypical "Young Masters" other than the other Princes fighting to be the heir of the Lord and their cronies.

This novel leaves you guessing with the schemes, and doesn't just explain it all in one go, you have to piece it together yourself after the schemes are all finished. The schemes are just amazing.

The protagonist isn't dense as a rock either, and no harem shit. <<less

I found this novel to be really refreshing. Initially, I read the manhwa and finished it quickly so I kept reading the novel instead. The plot was good while the side characters, although not very deep, still have some importance in the story.

The plot

I thought the plot was good, the MC starts off hateful with countless enemies but quickly progressing due to his cheat. Not only do his abilities develop but so does his mind. Initially, the MC wasn't that smart, his plans were shallow and he only focused on... more>> getting revenge for his dead mom. However, as the MC grew he became colder and more calculative, and through the fast-paced plot, it wasn't long before the reader gets to know the whole story and the novel overall becomes more interesting as stronger enemies appear.

Spoiler

When the story of Chun Yeowon's father, aka the Lord, is revealed I didn't feel sympathetic in any way but it became more interesting. It brought an interesting development to the story as the reader gets to know how deep the foundation of the Blade God Six Martial clan is. It showed that the plot was in no way shallow or boring.

[collapse]

Although some may say the plot becomes boring due to the MC's cheat I never felt that way. The plot was packed with action so it was always exciting, although it also led to the side characters being bit shallow however I didn't really mind that part.

Side characters

As previously mentioned, the side characters became very shallow due to the MC always training or fighting some enemy. There was no time for deep conversations to learn more about the side characters, however, I feel like the novel would have been ruined if the author did that.

The side characters of a novel are a very complex issue, if they are too heavily developed in the beginning it becomes boring and to keep the interest of the reader I feel like the beginning should be exciting making the reader want to continue on. However, if the side characters are developed later in the novel it just becomes pointless as they are no longer as relevant to the story as they were in the beginning, now they are mostly there to make the MC shine.

However, it would have been hard to pack deep conversations and explanations to deepen the side characters in the novel when the MC was fighting against the six clans. If the author tried doing that it would, most likely, just end up feeling like the author forced it to make the side characters more relevant. There is also the fact that, due to the MC's cheat, there was no heavy need for the side characters so if they were too developed it would also feel weird due to the character not being important to the story yet being so developed.

Side note

Something else I wanted to mention was the romantic part of the story. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either. It felt like the MC fell in love with her because it was his first encounter with a pretty girl, the MC saw her face once and fell in love. However, it didn't matter that much since the relationship between Chun Yeowon and Mun Ku didn't really show any progress until the latter half of the story.

Either way, since the side characters weren't very deep, to begin with, I wasn't disappointed when their love started so randomly. And since their feelings are somewhat developed during the time the MC fights against the six clans it wasn't like it started out of nowhere.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend you read it if you haven't. <<less

A rare revenge story done in the right way in a Xianxia stlye. Its very funny but this is the first chinese xianxia story done right on the revenge agaist own family but the novel is Korean. Maybe its impossible for a chinese autor to make a MC that goes all the way agaist his own family, beacuse at some point he will forgive them of all wrongs even when they try to mu*der him many times, well not here.

MC is a prince of a powerfull clan of martial artists... more>> but his mother is a commoner and his father the clan leader have 6 wifes all from the most powerfull familys of the clan, mother got mu*der and clan bullys same old story but normaly the MC with time forgives the family not here...

Spoiler

Here the MC will mu*der the sh*t of his family, the noble princes and princess will all get what they desarve and even the father will be treated the same way he treat the MC, but the ones that got the worst are the stepmothers MC was very cruel to all of them, in the end MC only cares about his mother and the guy that raise him rest can die.

Pure brainrot.

MC just conveniently keep powered up while using that nano machine technology to easily doing this and doing that. A wet dream of teenager, which can do whatever he want.

Dont expect any good lesson from this story. It just a teenager style plot, rather than murim which usually have good wholesome natural plots, this one suspiciously feels more like chinese cultivation where MC is keep mu*dering people to posturing and to be called some kind of badass.

MC is the worst kind of MC. He is just mu*derer, exploiting people... more>> so he can get advantage, and keep justifying himself. I think author is mistaken heavenly demon with unorthodox leader. This MC more like unorthodox leader.

Heavenly demon has inspiration and want to rule murim with it. But this man (mc) simply want to play power upgrade and some politics. He keeps acting himself, his subordinates is just for accecories.

The fatal one is when he decide to kill relatives of godly doctor just because she has stockholm syndrome. Just because it will dampen his plan. He justifying himself with support of author plot but he is worst kind of scum <<less

was going great but then ch325 happened and my hopes went downhill. His morals and personality that was built so far just felt like it crumbled to me since I had high hopes yet he chose to have s*x with a woman he just met to save her life despite his lover being right there like wtf bro (in the manga it was ch 173 and like whyyy it had such good art too *cries*)

like what happened to abiding by your principles??!?! I can get through most things but... more>> cheating?! Nope just nope

don't waste your time on this story and just move on to find a better one. Like honestly if the author had so much difficulty writing romance then just don't put it in the plot!! Its not needed!! Dumb shit

i'd give this a negative star if I could def dropping this <<less

It's quite good at first but the quality downgraded after the academy arc. The main thing that bothers me is that the MC didn't manage to fully utilize the nano machine to it's maximum potential which is understandable since he's a person from the medieval period, and he only mainly use it to improve his martial arts and combat effectiveness which is also understandable since this is a Wuxia Novel, however it doesn't make it any less frustrating. Also, one more thing, this is not a harem which is the... more>> only reason I gave it 4 star instead of 3 start. <<less

This novel is part of the same duology with Descent of The Demon God. You can't really read one without the other, so this review will cover both books.

Let's get this straight first, this is a Korean novel that has China as its background. You will see Korean name in a Chinese setting, which is weird at first but you'll get used to it soon.

The story is about a weak MC that got visited by a time traveler who was his descendant. MC got injected by a Nano Machine and... more>> progressively become a super OP character.

There is nothing special about the antagonists of this novel, but thankfully every encounter with a villain is mostly plotted well with real reasons and timeline. The progress is also quite fast since the author was not shying from wrecking the bad guy's plan when the chance to do so exist.

The combat and cultivation is very wuxia like with a more traditional feel, especially so in the first book. With a lot more weapon play than energy beam, the combat is actually pretty exciting, although this doesn't really apply to the second book. As the MC progress into a more powerful character, the story become more of a "one punch man" vibe more than anything.

In the middle-later part of the story (end of first book - second book), you'll also be served with a lot of elements that author has planned for this novel. I actually like this since the author did it well, instead of looking like a jumbled mess, the world was full of varieties that was quite entertaining.

Overall, this is not a bad novel at all, there is not much chapters to go through and it has a consistent plotline. 4 stars. <<less

It's meh. While the premise is interesting, the execution was not great. Even the exploration of what the nano machine can do was barely there, until it was shoehorned in at the end with barely a wrap up of an ending.

This is transformers level read, but even the fight scenes here were boring a lot of the time. But if you can turn of your brain, this is fine.

As for the r*pe scene - seriously, is that what people are upset about? Like, just a few ch earlier he cut... more>> down another girl because she was uncooperative while being rescued, and then presented her body like the enemies killed her to get the reward... How the F does raping a girl to save her and get her powerful dad as an ally, break his character?

Over the whole novel, MC killed thousands in many brutal ways, tortured and used drugs on anyone he needed info from... What else did you expect? <<less

Like several of the other reviews, I got put off by the plot of the MC having interc**rse with another girl just to save her. When it happened, his character simply broke apart. How can a person immediately do something contradictory to his belief? Especially with his background and experience, his character should have been more adamant not to go through the action since he already has Mu Kun as his lover. Similar to what ShadowMusamh said, the action of the MC was seemingly forced through the situation made by... more>> the author. The MC's characterization did not fit his actions, which broke his character. Maybe the author made that situation happen for the MC to become powerful, however, why does he have to get stronger that way? He could have gotten stronger through other ways like obtaining an ice artifact or fruit or something that could have given him similar effects to obtaining yin and achieving balance. What happened after that was just the author justifying what the MC did, without taking into consideration that he made the MC do things that are inconsistent with how a person with a background like the MC would react in such a situation. Imagine, a person who suffered growing up and nearly died because of his father's polygamous relationship and suddenly having another girl aside from his lover. The progression just doesn't make sense.

I continued reading because I had nothing more to read and I thought of giving this another chance but, no. It just became worse as the MC became too OP. At first, I was fine with it but as it continuously happen I became so sick of it. It's like no character development is happening anymore and it just became a one-sided stage for the MC to show off how strong he is. Even the fights became dull because he can defeat all his enemies with just a snap of his finger.

It's a miracle I even made it to the 400-chapter mark. The last straw that made me permanently drop this off my reading list was the foreboding that Mu Kun and the other girl will be facing off for the affection of MC.

Still, I'll be giving this a 3-star just because of its early chapters and because it's actually a good story until it went downhill. <<less

I personally enjoyed it and if giving a description I'd say it's a bit like Warlock of the Magus World but rather than being magic/fantasy it's wuxia/xianxia. If giving a spoiler free description I'd say it's a weak to strong korean novel where MC initially relies on their wits to get by and later on as power creep grows basically becomes untouchable. The MC has a bit of a ruthless/pragmatic streak that I imagine would split audiences that some people will approve of while it will horrify others. So if... more>> you like your MCs to be saints or pure-hearted then this isn't the novel for you.

Idk what to say. I mean it was really good at some parts and really bad at some. The MC is given everything and the general op MC troupe is followed here. Also the plot armour is thick, like really really thick. Idk what to say about the ending though.

Honestly the novel had an interesting plot to say the least but I had a lot of issues with the novel.

The novel had alot of plot armour and the MC was beyond idiotic and isn't pragmatic which makes reading the novel beyond annoying the author always gets out of his way to great situations that could normally be resolved by the normal way only to have the MC do something unexpected and s*upid. We can never see the battle of wits we want to see between rivals or foe's of... more>> the MC. He is to tyrannical which makes reading the novel extremely boring overtime like he does s*upid sh*t and gets away with it.

The power levelling in this novel is also messed up. He powers up too fast which makes it lackluster. The other characters are also forgettable <<less
