This novel is just a good... The comedy plot, the plot, the characters, the word building all are so good. I love the main CP so much. Yu Zhengdu and Shang Que are so fit together, image and characteristics wises. I don’t get why there are people who doesn’t like SQ, he’s funny. YZD’s thinking is just gold hahaaa 4.8⭐️ a bit unsatisfied with the reason of SQ was sealed in the Chaos realm. But overall, I love this story.

this is absolutely hilarious! ML is like a complete dinosaur when it comes to modern day tech, and MC keeps on wondering at first if he fell into some type of scam company with how disorganized it is. ML is very (unintentionally?) cute, and MC is a capable, not-gong-dependent person. I like how it gradually builds up and doesn't slam us with the cp at first sight. Overall the romance, while it isn't lacking, takes a bit of a back seat. It really is a slice of life.

it's really funny,... more>> the characters are fleshed out, which is a relief from the carbon copy ML's that i've read recently. Fwow, there is a lot of patriotism, but that's to be expected.

altogether I would recommend it especially if you want something nice and easy after reading something more on the intense side (as I did) <<less

Omahgash I love this novel so much! I love the author's brainhole and it synchronized with mine so well! The mix of supernatural/horror comedy is gold... Now I crave for more...

I don't know why some peeps doesn't like this but... This story just resonates with me lol... There are cringe moments but I honestly love those hahahaha there's nothing wrong with cringey moments as long as not overused lol...

Anyway I super love every character in this novel, whether it be our leads, the friends, the VIPs or the ghosts...... more>> They just all complete the story for me as I love stories with a lot of characters. They have their own personalities and fun that will make you love them even the ones with not much screen time lol.

Our leads' personalities are quite complicated since they appear generic yet unique on their own way... The romance... Umm... You can already see in the early chapters that Shang Que obviously has a crush on Zhengdu but is oblivious about his own feelings that he even deluded that it is MC who has a crush on him hahahahaha. Well the romance may be not that great but the for me the plot is... I love supernatural stories a lot especially if it is well done and gives the ghosties the exposure they deserved.

This made me crave for more similar stories hehe... Will definitely reread this in the future if ever suddenly miss the characters~ <<less

I think I'm this close to denying this novel ended.... I'm having hard time parting from this Absolutely Wonderfully Perfect Novel Ever!!! 😭😭😭

It has Best MC and ML. I'm not joking! Love the way they earned money. Love MC's easy going but also hardworking attitude. Love ML's Tsundere personality and his sometimes childishness. I don't think you can hate ML? He's Adorkable and I enjoyed every moment of his existence!!! MC and ML's Duo moments (which is almost 99% of the story. Lol. Though I'm not talking about their romance.... more>> It is included though) is the Best Thing Ever!!! MC and ML is both Funny and Badass and I LOVE THEM SOOOO MUCH!!!

While it's 99% Novel Comedy, there's actually one very short moment that lead me into tears.

Also, the author is so consistent with their story. They never forget the comedy even in any intense situations, it was so well written, and no Comedy moment were ever awkward! It was Truly Top Notch Writing Skill and I'm truly Loving it!!

This novel is truly one of the most unique Modern Fantasy Novel I have ever read...

One of the most creative, innovative, funny, and wholesome novels I have read in all of my years of web novel reading. The world and characters building make the novel reread worthy. I can’t express how good the novel and the translation are, so you should just start and enjoy the many all-nighters you will pull with joy and appreciation.

plot: no plotholes that I can think of, well-paced, interesting, easy to follow, funny but not senseless, has some mystery, not at all a heavy read

characters: well-rounded, likable, even background characters reappear nearing the end or even in the extras and aren’t forgotten, the MC & ML are a perfect match

romance: so sweet! I saw a review say the op wished there was more romance but I think the romance here was actually more than enough. It isn’t the type that has the MC & ML in their own world.... more>> It isn’t the type where romance is the only thing relevant in the world. Once they get together, it doesn’t become boring (and I usually stop reading and struggle to finish so many novels because things becomes so stale after the couple get together). Here, the MC and ML are always learning something new about each other or always have new antics. If I had to give an example, this is almost mxtx style of writing romance but without the pining over several lifetimes—the main pair are together and solve problems and mysteries together and their feelings develop every time so we always get a bit of fluff but not so much that we’d be bloated with pre-couple dog food. ML is silly but powerful and MC isn’t necessarily powerful but he is equals with the MC and also so indulgent to his silly husband boyfriend.

this was overall such a satisfying read. I was pleasantly surprised. I read this once but I couldn’t continue because I wasn’t immediately hooked. I just tried reading this again because, who knows, this might be another one of those novels that don’t interest me at first but suddenly becomes something I like. Look! That’s exactly what it is now.

i enjoyed reading about the MC and ml’s love so much lmao I loved how they started most of all because I love that kind of dynamic in a pairing

A who likes B and thinks B likes them goes ahead and encourages B to pursue them, but in a really silly and cute manner and not in arrogant and overbearing way. I think I liked this especially because ml’s character suits this troupe which would require A to be a fool & not a prick

i loved the relationships with other characters too. I loved the luofeng workers. I also love how this author didn’t write anything dog blood but the faceslapping scenes were excellent and so amusing lmao

if you aren’t immediately into this novel on the first few chapters, I promise you, keep reading and you won’t be disappointed. The plot immediately picks up after the brief arc of MC incorporating into his new and very special workplace. Not to mention his relationship with the ML during this time is especially cute. Also, I was so surprised and fell in love with this one thing

Wholesome and humorous story with a petty ghost king ML and a God Programmer MC. The novel uses creative mix of the mythical and the technical to present Luofeng--the modernized Hell, in charge of the six reincarnation paths. The entire story is structured around Luofeng, with ML as its big boss and MC as its first human employee (there will be many more human employees.) Theres also a lot of cute human and nonhuman side characters. I goddamn love how ghosts and religious masters end up buying in to the... more>> ideals of socialism and technological advancements. Like I've always strangely loved modernized religious/mythological elements and this novel played on that contrast so well. The comedic moments are On Point, and the mythological references are strangely educational. I also really enjoyed how the MC and ML got together. I guess it counts as slow burn but theres no big drama or angsty moments. Its more funny than anything else tbh.

My main complaint is that the story overused the face-slapping trope. Plenty of side characters are deliberately set up to be one dimensional villains whose only purpose is to be shut down by the main characters. Although such face slapping is satisfying, it's a little cringy if overdone. <<less

I LOOOOVVVEEEE THIS NOVEL

At first I thought their relationship dynamic would be boring, but it's not~ I really feel how they slowly gain chemistry, at the beginning YZD couldn't understand SQ's eye signals to YZD could even play along with dramatization things in SQ's mind. Like the slice of life genre with a supernatural theme

Was going to say the exact same as HoloSol. I can’t understand why the MC and ML would like each other, there is no “leading into” anything. I can’t relate to or connect with them at all. Then the story is all about face slapping, pretty boring and even gross. I’ve read way too many Chinese novels and this one is just not good.

4.5/5. I'd say this is a good one, dk if it's a masterpiece standard, but I do love all the characters. The comedy is the face palm type of comedy, which I don't mind. Nothing bad to say about the MC or ml, though, if I were to complain about NTNH, it'd be the world building/explanations for some things in the novel, it doesn't really make much sense/nor do they link (a little bit plot holeish) but then again, it's a fantasy supernatural novel so, lol. The big boss fight... more>> was less than what I expected, but I liked how things turn out. The extras were nice, slice of life kinda chapters to wrap up the novel... though kinda wishing

The ending was not quite what I was expecting but it was still really well done with how all the main points of focus where resolved. Overall I found it very enjoyable read with well developed characters, interesting world building and a consistent tone.

I love this novel, this novel is light and funny. Those two words are perfectly describing this novel.

It doesn't contain angst. It does have some face slapping moments. Side characters are well written and supporting. I pretty much enjoying side characters interaction as well.

How we see Hell described by socialism / capitalist industry are entertaining. Well, it doesn't fit logic - of course, but it is nice. You don't need to overthinking anything. I cracked and laughed most of the time.

Some discoveries are brilliant - I can say. How their... more>> work integrated to daily human life, creating opportunities to harvest money are good.

I also like Peppa - as character. I really like her from a fetus, goose and a daughter. Her fetus story is tragic and I'm sad. Her interaction and fetal education are superb.

Author did a good job potrayed the ML (Demon King) - arrogant, c*cky, but childish at same time. It's very fresh character - especially for gaming and fetal education thingy. It is hilarious!

MC as a tech sevvy, is outstanding - and more towards business development opportunity.

Some weaknesses that I found are,

  • Less romantic interaction. I don't want too much or too absurd lovey dovey interaction, but it's really a miss. I sometimes wonder whether I read BL or business novel. I really want their romantic interaction to be MORE
  • Too much information (filler). It probably the way author tries to build background and environment - but I just skip most of the paragraph. Just need to read second and last sentences to get main idea of the background the author wants to potray
  • Repeating. Some paragraph are repeated in order to re explain. But it's not much.
In my conclusion, you should read this novel. It's not long but worth it. And of course, it's HE. Just read it :) <<less
