other notes:how he got implicated is when the stepmom poisons ML's drink and MC accidentally drinks it + takes pic of the incident of MC committing su*cide coincidentally = him reborn to help MC ig but so sad he got killed for no reason too they will have a flashback scene the last 30 chapters it broke my heart so much

I feel so bad gor the ML mom she was so kind to the ML dad then he just used and threw her away and even killed her. The stepmom is disgusting to the core aka she has drunk s*x with her brother and the last kid be born like that but the MC dad dk tht kid is the sis bro kid till when they got exposed. The ML's dad treats the ML so ehm I dont know what to say honestly the ML does not deserve such a disgusting dad like him. He keeps trying to guilt trip the ML to tarnish him or whateve its so bs. Anyways he got karma in the end so deserved.
the encounter between the ML and MC is very funny like they meet in the street and then banter. Then the ML gets pissed off thinkin he is some stalker fan or papeazzi WHICH HE IS NOT HAHAHAHAH also yes its filled with lots of fluff

Translation complaints done TLDR; the main draw is character interactions which are all really well written, a surprisingly realistic. Plot is kinda there and is mostly interesting as a background of characters a lot of thing kind of happen without any real buildup or setting up, things just get revealed and then the plot progresses, the tone is kept lightedhearted due to the fact that the protag doesn't have much of a reason to be rebirthed, man was just minding his business and was like well I mean this is fine. Faceslapping takes ages to get to due to chapter structuring Plot does have interesting points to it, it kinda flows externally from the novel, due to the fact that the key conflict has basically nothing to do with the mc I think my key issues would probs be with the side characters, they mostly just randomly show up when narratively necessary, also there have been maybe 2 female characters who aren't either cheaters, easily manipulated or villains. When one disappeared the other reappeared, the narrative seemingly incapable of having more than one decent woman in frame at any given time It's really upsetting because despite the little amount of time they had, I really like the female characters. the author def seems to have a preference for the domineering and cool older woman thoI liked Di Chunhua the most as a villain, she's pretty pitiful and messed up
His character is a bit confusing for me, however I did appreciate that the people around him initially noticed that HB had changed and seemed more mature and level headed, not just because his photography skills had improved. He also isn't immediately a god at photography because of his rebirth, HB primarily focussed on landscapes and scenery which he excells at, so he does struggle with things that he didn't really deal with in his first life, like portraiture. He learns in a rolling ball motion, katamari style, picking stuff up and slotting them in and then using that to build himself up to something else
(Tbh, as an actual photographer myself, I was having to suspend disbelief quite a bit at how quick he adjusted to photography he had never dealt with before, but honestly a good portion of the info in here is actually solid and the author has a pretty good understanding of photography imo)
His knowledge of the future isn't really much of a golden finger in a fairly realistic way, he doesn't actually have much of a leg up on others due to the fairly realistic fact that it's been almost a decade since any of these events happened, and he was fairly isolated in general. Pretty much everything he knows is really only in regards to things that directly happened around him or were too big to ignore
Personality is, man idk but I love him?? Cute guy with a foul mouth. Sometimes he acts in a way which is clearly conniving and smart, but then the narrative will write it as him having no clue what he's doing? I'm chalking it up to an issue with the translation tbh
I actually really like him, not a pushover, can clearly read people well and manipulate situations, smart and passionate about photography, adaptable and antisocial, a bit childish but it felt like a 20 yr old guys childishness if that makes sense? Adults can be ridiculous as well. And he isn't just the mls guiding star, HB's's a good character in his own right and feels like just a Guy honestly, and I say that with so much love
Contentious guy huh? But that's fair. Honestly, he takes getting used to, definitely a unique ML in all respects. The way he is is bizarre frankly, definitely a product of his family situation and upbringing. Incapable of shutting up when ahead, so continually just pits himself for no reason and you want to smack him around a little. Has a lot of neurosis and issues that clearly impacted him and how he responds and acts around other people
The best part about DQH is that he isn't absolved when he does something wrong, he's given an opportunity to improve and grow from his actions, and he also makes a genuine apology in which he doesn't try and excuse himself. I really enjoyed that he was assisted in doing and being better, and that he took it very seriously
Surprisingly innocent and cute, actually gets run about by HB a lot, even before DQH realises he's in love with him. Would often walk into a conversation clearly expecting to have a one up on him, and then get quickly henpecked into submission and is confused to be there (but delighted later on)
A lot of banter and tension (mostly from DQH playing a one man yearning band), I enjoy that both adjust for the other and change behaviour (HB is asked by the DQH's friend that if DQH does something wrong to not just block him, but to talk to him instead, because it messes with DQH badly. HB accepts and doesn't do) DQH is clearly somebody who is doing his best to learn because he wants to be in HB's life, so he's trying to fix his own messed up situation as best as possible and trying to be a bit more stable and normal overall
Also whenever DQH tries to be manipulative... HB knows, he is aware, he let's DQH get away with it cause it's usually harmless, but HB is easily able to flip the situation on the poor ML
