The reason I say the author forgot logic when making MC silly was because the MC is a successful web novel author but he acted really weird a few times in public and was photographed/recorded and it got posted online and went viral. MC denied it was him. The thing is though, even though he was indeed acting weird when taken out of context, he could've explained himself and people would've totally believed him.

For example, he once "had dinner with his phone" in a restaurant (MC lives inside a game in his phone). He could've just told people he was in a long distance relationship and was having a meal with his S/O through the phone. But he let people think he was having dinner with a character in a mobile game (which was true at the time, but still). Same as when he was shopping for clothes "with his phone". ML was actually choosing clothes for him. Have people never seen other people shop while on the phone or ask their S/O for their opinions through video chat? Why do people think he's crazy and is dating his phone?

Then the time when he issued a reward for a million yuan to whoever got his phone back to him intact. The dude's a writer who makes money not only through people reading his novels but also selling the copy rights to game developers, manga publishers and movie and tv companies. He could've just said he had outlines and ideas for his novels in his phone that he didn't back up, so he needed it back and he didn't want someone to leak his ideas or spoil the content of his ongoing novel. That's a legitimate reason to pay a million yuan to get your phone back.

Then there was a time when he had to use a virtual reality device in public and was having a coffee date with "air" (it was with MC, but that's how it looked like to bystanders), was acting intimate with "air" and hugging "air", so as expected he got recorded and the video went viral. Shortly after, towards the end, MC became internationally famous and took part in a conference of the latest technological advances. He could've just admitted the guy in the video was him and said that he was doing research or doing a trial run for a project that wasn't ready to be announced yet and left it at that. He was in the middle of developing a Virtual Reality game for his novel anyway. Who wouldn't have believed him? And even the skeptical ones would've believed him when his game was launched. So the author writing that the MC was embarrassed, not daring to admit his pen name when asked (people had started to link the guy in the viral weird videos to his pen name) was just a bad attempt at making the MC seem goofy and silly.

These were all "embarrassing" situations with a very easy solution, but MC just decided to let people keep thinking whoever that guy was, was a weirdo instead of admitting that was him, providing an explanation and then let it pass.

Ask is the system. He is the controller of the game in essence. He's the one who helped the two meet.

ML encountered an accidental story sent by MC which he found quite romantic cause it envisioned the possibility of setting up superAI quite rationally. So ML knew of MC' name & some basic info then.

Due to suffering a headshot, ML went into coma. This was used as a test for the AI he developed. The AI knew that ML liked the person who gave ML the inspiration. So he connected with MC's mobile & brought ML's consciousness to him via the app. And so the story started.

TL, DR: About coma being D-grade, I don't see it. The guy got hit at nearpoint. Seriously, being in a coma is actually saving that character from death because anything other than coma is very irrational at that point.

Su Mingqian was going to be gong! Maybe because I've already been ruined by all the shou!MC novels out there. Well, anyways, yes, Su Mingqian really gave me lots of gong feels. First was the confusion stage, then the doubt creeps in followed by more confusion, before it finally got resolved. Haha. What a journey in itself. Disclaimer: I am not strict on couple dynamics. If they want to be reversible then they can go be reversible and I'd still enjoy them. There's just that certain you-know feeling about the certainty of it all... you know?

about Brother Air: Why can't he just say he was on video call with someone. That's why he was acting intimate with his phone. About the Haidilao paper lover brother: Not much to be done there. I can only sigh. He did say he was having a meal with his in game lover. About Brother Million: Why does everyone find it really strange and out of this world, they even consider him crazy? Can't he just say there's very important data on his phone that's worth more than the 1, 000, 000 yuan he was willing to give away as prize money? Or how come no one thought of this explanation on their own? They can think up water-logged stories of family feuds, how come no one thought there was something very important on the phone he calls wife?I mean, men call their cars or their boats female names and lovers. *shrugs*

They first conducted a wedding in the virtual world before the actual wedding, and I lovee it! I also love how MC's friends interacted with Ask, splurging on money almost instantly. Hahaha, typical Ask. The reveal behind the protagonists' (MC's protagonist) Su Mingqian's name to the fans is hilarious too! It's kinda funny how they tried deciphering the reason for the main protagonist's name and when ML swooped MC's heart. Their little delulu moments gave me a chuckle.

Miserable day for the MC! RIP his hands, and his creativity brain juice. 200k words is no joke. Thankfully, he had a 100k extra + the 30k words he just accomplished. 70k more to go... He absolutely deserved that day off.

The idea of a virtual world and ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) always make me excited when reading. Plus, the fact MC's novel came to life with the help of Ask makes me hopeful for the near future! Truth be told, this is a very unserious novel and interesting references from real life events, like Chinese webnovels being a form of rehab for users, lol. So don't take it too seriously, just enjoy the concepts being introduced by the author and the occasional dog food.
