Recommended for readers who are into Shizun x Disciple and yandere tropes, with cat boy thrown in as bonus.

PISDD is great for shizun bullying/spoiling agenda. There are a lot of sweet moments in between healthy dose of vinegar. The combination of fluff and humor, with a light sprinkle of angst hit just right for me.

The plot is light, with a heavy focus on romance as shizun raising his "traitorous" disciples to eat him lol. I love all MLs!

  • Li Huanhuan!!! I have a huge soft spot for him for his utter devotion to shizun (& ruthlessness in bed lol).
  • Qin Jun (my fav) is both manipulative & sweet. Love how Shizun always turns to him when being "bullied" lol.
  • Chang Ye aka the baby/cat boy. Just too cute! Best character development in the book.
Overall, PISDD is a decent comfort read, especially when one needs a break from plot-heavy and/or angst.

The story will fun for people who normally are fine with cardboard characters and a plot that doesn't have much depth. There's a lack of real personality to the characters. The narration is very lack lustre and there really isn't much to the plot.

Wonderful. This is the first Chinese novel I've read here that actually treats consent and respect to their parter seriously.

don't be fooled by the fluff in the first few chaps. This story has plot and explanations behind the coincidences.

Oh I'm not sure how much the editor did but I love the spiciness

It's still early to give review, but I can't help it since the story attracts me so much. Really, "shizun system" with three little (?) wolf cub? MC sure finds his disciples lovely (while others?). Can't wait for more chapters ?

WAIIIWAIIIWAIT...!!! Could I... maybe... finally have found a UNIQUE transmigration story?!?

There's this running joke about the MC constantly "pouring chicken soup" for his disciples, but that is also true for the readers too... His words and actions genuinely warm you when you are reading the novel. While the disciples brings.. ahem.. another kind of warmth *winkwink*

Li Huanhan: Then shizun will be reminded of me everytime he sheats it in his body.

... more>> Me: *minor choke* You mean sword... right?? His sword right?!? Huanhan aNSWER ME—

Li Huanhan: For body to remain, we must overcome the trials we experience from birth to death. For soul to remain, we must overcome the dangers and hardships on the path to immortality. My existence will always remain in this world. Not in Peng Lai sect, much less Tian Mo school, but in Shizun's heart.

Me: *major choke* I'm nOt cryING.. you ARE.. hnngn—

Okay, real talk: I know Huanhuan's the bestest boy (MC and author's favorite), BUT...I might've been swayed to Team Jun-er. At first, I blamed the silver-white hair, but after learning what he "represented"? Zero surprise :D

And seriously, jokes aside, while at first glance this novel looks like your typical "shizun-disrespect-extraordinaire" it actually has a well hidden depth. This is the perfect novel if you:

1) Want something light yet don't want the dumbed-down clichés.

2) Don't like harem and polygamy but like the idea of few people chasing the MC. (I personally don't enjoy harem but this is like—the perfect—middle point. And no, it's not harem... umm, least not in a classical sense.)

3) Like stories handling angsty situations in a rather casual-tone.

4) Love when the subtle details and ethical viewpoints and/or philosophical views are touched gently, just enough to give story a flavor.

I loved this story especially for the #4, if you want to take a peek at what kind of subtle details I'm talking about check below, but be warned it contains spoilers.

The ML is originally stuck in a world he made—one full of despair, unfairness, and pain—while questioning it all, living in hopelessness. He's cultivating the supreme path, the path where his love was meant to belong to everything... then comes our MC. He is both his salvation and doom. Imagine this: creating a world, giving life to sentient beings, becoming the strongest cultivator (nearly a god)... only to see the pain you've caused because your creation is flawed by your wavering thoughts. Then falling for someone you can't fully love because of your path... And the cruelest twist? "Jun er" is the very mentality of him that created this world—and because of that, after splitting his soul, this part is also the very fragment shunned by it, rejected by the Dao.

I'm really impressed the direction author went with the plot. It is subtle and fun novel at first glance, like I said, but more you read the more you find yourself questioning the right and wrong along with them. Yet these themes never overpower the story. Overall, I'd call this the perfect palate cleanser between heavier novels. Light on cultivation, rich in MC & ML romance—exactly what you need when craving something warm and low-key. Highly recommend for when you need a breather.

Oh and also, before I forget... if this novel weren't sadly censored, I would most likely lose my soul... It has everything you need:

A demonic "wolf" who can't control his strength.

A sly "fox" who KNOWS what he's doing (and coaxing Shizun is his greatest talent).

And most importantly... a shameless "cat" with... well.... let's just mention "barbed body parts and knot"—you can picture the rest, I assume :3 <<less

*i read this awhile ago so this review is based off my memory and some notes I put down about this novel

It's pretty funny and simple? I remember thinking that if you wanted a similar sort of vibe/tone to SVSSS, this would be a good novel to recommend to people who want something lighter and not serious. deeply not serious lol....

my only real major criticism of it is that the ending felt rushed or abrupt??? but the plot was generally thin for the whole novel so I guess I can't... more>> say I didn't expect that either?

I'm like 90% sure this would've had more meat to it if the author was allowed to write s*x scenes but I don't hold that against them since that's not entirely their fault sdjbgfsdjk

tl;dr:

average? not particularly great or bad, but I found it fun? it's a bit of a silly faux-harem master/disciple story, 3.5/5

it's a faux harem because the MLs are all part of the same soul.... LOL... so I guess it doesn't entirely matter if some of them were notably quite underdeveloped compared to the other since they're all the same soul in the end

Ok. So it's my 2 nd time reading the story and I still felt same awe while reading it.

The first time I read it I really loved the story and I still do, idk why but this story helds a special place in my heart.

I loved the MC as well as the ml's, unfortunately at the end they were one. This was the only thing that made me uncomfortable in the entire story.

... more>> I don't know why but I am really not a fan of many mls merging into one at the end, it felt uncomfortable to me, I felt pain for the ml's.

Their personality differed so much from each other but at the end of the story they have to merge into one, as they were same part of the soul.

I would enjoy it even more if the author had let it be a harem bl instead of fusing ml's into one.

But anyway it was a great story, I highly enjoyed it.

All the three ml's past was so painful, I felt my heart breaking everytime I read about them, and their extreme love and helplessness when it comes to their shizun.

Only if the nsfw scenes were described with fine details damn it would have been something different.

Thanku author and translators for the hard work u put into the story.

I would highly recommend this novel to all of u guys. <<less

I really don't usually write reviews but this one really melted my heart and I had to write this a very positive review （╹◡╹）♡

In my own taste and preference I absolutely adore this (^^)

I cant write a very detailed and helpful review but if you're hesitant to read this you should I was once hesitant to but I have no regrets reading this y'all. 10+/10 would recommend again

This novel its a nice slice of life read much like the author's other work. It doesnt have much of a plot but its enjoyable especially if you like kitties xDD. I wanted to see more scenes of the disciples fighting each other for favor while their teacher was oblivious but unfortunately they get revealed too early.I also wanted to see more of his second student since he gets the backseat in favor of the other two.

Anyway despite some problems here and there its a nice novel to read to... more>> pass the time but dont expect much of the plot or things being properly explained. This could have been a good smut novel but censorship XDD <<less

I thought the beginning was quite interesting, especially the personalities and interactions with each new disciple. However, towards the end it did drag a bit for me since the author seems to both want to create a harem, but also can't seem to bear not having the relational be a 1v1. In the end, I thought the book was entertaining and fun. It's really well translated, the world creation is nice, and the characters are nice. Liked it so I gave it five stars. Maybe because I'm biased and I love stories like this but also the fact thati didn't have any major conflicts like war or anything but rather the ups and downs in the story was just perfectly fit for the plot, ofcource it's only my opinion. But all in all I guess this is a feel good and casual read.

This isn't a rating just yet, but more of a place to write my ever emerging annoyances and I'll add an edit with the actual rating once I finish the novel.

Currently, I'm on chapter 22 and I am this close to screaming. If I'm being honest the genre or trope, maybe, I hate the most is the misunderstanding trope. Firstly because misunderstandings can be solved with a simple f*cking conversation and secondly because misunderstandings are usually super obviously over looked. The fact that our MC is so... I don't want... more>> to say s*upid because he's not necessarily s*upid but Obtuse maybe? that he doesn't even realize that the f*cking pink bubbles and hearts that pop up on the disciples progress bar had to do with, AT THE VERY LEAST, his relationship with them utterly baffles me. It's to the point where I even contemplate dropping it every other chapter.

i love smart MCs that can analyze and observe situations so the fact that this MC overlooks the obvious signs not to mention being told outright just... yeah it's annoying the hell out of me. I'm going to keep reading, but only because I do think it's a pretty cute story and well.. let's be honest, I think I've read all other completed novels that I found interesting so I'm bored anyway.

— Edit: I made it to ch. 34 and I keep stopping every few paragraphs because of how s*upid this MC is. I know I said he wasn't s*upid before but I take it back. This guy is a goddamn idiot and it's actually blowing my mind how obtuse and unobservant the author made him. they have literally revealed themselves and yet he ignores and overlooks it as well as their blatantly obvious feelings for him.

How the hell does anyone write a character so annoyingly idiotic? all he does is repeat the same sh*t about the dao and following the right path. and he's actually being so hypocritical because he's stated that not all demons/devils are bad and that you can't fault someone for their birth because they have no control over it, and yet he was the first to immediately curse and think badly of his disciples based off of their births and cultivation path.

Dear f*ck I'm so so so tempted to drop this shit.

lol I just finished ch. 34 and I think I'll call it for now. I just— idk maybe I've gotten out of these cliched bullsh*t tropes because constantly see the MC so obsessed with everyone's s*xual orientation and act so damn blind to what's right in front of his face is just so bothersome. I'm not patient enough read until all these dumbass misunderstandings are solved because they wouldn't be misunderstandings if he was observant and even just a bit smarter.

I’m not gonna lie I got super angry when they kept kidnapped him and placing him in house arrest like I get they’re evil but come on guys🙄and then I was literally cheering when he got out and destroyed the tracking pendant. And then I was cheering even more when he contacted the gray haired disciples (I think it was 🤨) and gave him is plan on his own terms!! Yes we love a strong Lead!! I’m not really looking forward to their merging tho I’m not gonna lie I’m afraid it’ll get a bit boring...

Honestly one of the absolute best stories in terms of character growth and relationship progression. Binged it, did not want it to end.

The story is crafted in 3 rough arcs, each is enjoyable and moves the plot, but I enjoyed the first and last the most. The way MC and the disciples interact was so good.

And the end was actually really good, we all knew where it's going since like 60% of the book, but it did not feel like a chore to follow along, as it is with many... more>> other similar stories.

The end felt soft, deserved and really satisfactory.

I would really recommend this to anyone, who loves stories about the actual romance, as there isn't really much outside conflicts or issues, which honestly is just my cup. <<less

It has voyeurs, manages and non human s*x MENTIONS without any actual s*x scenes (someone wrote it gave them blue balls, and they didn't even have balls), wich I find fairly acurate and franklly a good sumup because the story goes on and on about the personal relationship of MC with the ML (basicaly theyr s*x life), there are dramas and crisis but they are basicaly fix by "sex"

I finally finished the book. It took me 3 tries and the first time I took a break from reading and forgot about the novel. 2nd time I just couldnt get through past 1/4 or the novel as it was just boring me for some reason. 3 time I finally finished the novel and it was honestly a pretty good reason. When I got to the end I was sad that I would t be able to read about MC and ML anymore unless I reread.🥲 but anyways 10/10 recommend.

I haven't finished reading it but I LOVE IT ALREADY! even tho the MC is one of the genius goody shoes that are most likely side characters in some of manhwa's

Mc's is really nice and calm oblivious? But I KNOW the MC has an innocent personality (no your pushover but yeah innocent) and your typical shizun but I would love- HIM TO BE MY TEACHER!

ONE OF THE MOST HAREM NON-HAREM NOVEL I HAVE EVER READ!!!

It was Absolutely Beyond any Expectations.

The deep plot that related to their Dao path thing is both Complicated and not exactly Hard to understand. I'm just gonna say I THINK I get it. Lol

If you are looking for Action Novel, sadly this is not for you! There's barely Fighting scene. I can't even think of any except the mentioned of MC's Disciples exchanges blows. The fight all happen in the background.

A very nice thing in this novel is There's NO Scheme and Conspiracy between MC and other sect Masters in their Sect. They all Close and Caring toward each other. Even in SVSSS where there's also No Scheme and Conspiracy between the sect Masters in their Mountain Sect, the relationship between the Shizun (s) are not as close as the Characters in this novel!

Anyway, if you ask what is the Plot of this Novel, then unless you ready to accept Spoilers, then you should NOT ask and just prepare yourself for anything!

No special warning or anything. The Genres and Tags in NU is True. So if you accept all that, the go read it!

And yes, I Truly LOVE this Novel!!! Unexpected but I'm Enjoy, Very Relieved, Satisfied, and Absolutely Loving it!!!
