At first, I really thought this was a typical s*um gong turned loyal gong story. Like where the MC runs away and the ML chases him. But surprisingly, it was very interesting, it kept me in suspense with every chapter. The MC and ML are not what you considered "good moral" people. If anything, everyone in this story seems to be greedy and corrupt, pardon a few people. Alphas and omegas are the top social class while the betas are average. This idea gets mention a lot in the story,... more>> but there is a reason to it.

The beta MC meticulously planned everything. He is such a good manipulative bastard haha. He showed that even an alpha and omega will succumb to his schemes. Bro, he lead people to their deaths. Plus, alpha ML did nothing really. Everything was done by the MC. That is what I call a badass.

Bro, I even thought he was just gonna be your average shou wife that gets mistreated by relatives and somewhat abandoned by the gong. Like the first few chapters showed nothing about it. Only until the 8th chapter you start to see stuff popping up. But I think you read the synopsis to understand what I mean.

The ML... meh... typically dog blood s*um gong. Sometimes, I wanna kick him in the face.

tiny little rant: Never understood why Alphas and Omegas are superior when they easily succumbed to their pheromones. If anything, seems like a defect. Like is it normal to have s*x for 4 days straight? Come on people, our kidneys will die haha. Plus, this always sometimes end in a tragic outcome. I mean this story is to show for it.

P.S. The smut in this story is very minimal btw. <<less

I MTL ed the rest of the novel which is 70% readable . It does have a lot of dub-con and few times it was non-con. It was the only reason I removed one star. The plot was good, although it was predictable, the side cp did have an important role in the plot. The MC actually communicated, which was rare. The story was just around 20 chapters so if you want a quick read of AXB pair, then go ahead. The extras also were good, they gave the... more>> story a more conclusive ending.

I would have actually liked the story more if the MC decided to not remarry, given everything that the ML did. I also found the sudden shift of a rational ML to an over bearing, possessive ML a bit odd, given the fact that he was on the verge of cheating.

I also liked it when the ML tried to bullsh*t his way through and MC saw through it and was not having it. I like how the ML tried to stalk MC but once again, the MC said nope. In the end though I felt like the ML actually redeemed himself and had a character change, sort of. I wish I saw more of the side CP, which was a AXB pair but without any toxicity the main CP had.

The uke is not weak NOT AT ALL WEAK!!I thought he was ur weak white lotus type of guy, who'll silently listen to their husband and tolerate the humiliation from ML family but NO! He's a cunning fellow who only cares about his goals&target

MC does love ML, but his own agenda comes first, so he often causes ML's insecurity to flare up, and the ensuing push & pull is very messy & R rated. There's a lot of smut happening when ML's sanity is on the verge of collapse, so beware if that type of thing isn't your tea. Overall it's entertaining enough & reads like it's longer than the 16 ch it is. <<less

I loved that MC seemed harmless, but he's quite the mastermind. ML is assured that MC loves him unconditionally but what a hard blow of reality he suffered.

This story is very intriguing, I couldn't get away from the entire plot, I finished reading it in MTL and it was understandable.

I would have loved to read the extras but I couldn't find them TT
