This was a truly cute story though there were moments where I ended up setting it aside to read something else. It was still a worthwhile read. Especially because of how different the main character acted around everyone, more so that of the male lead.

I absolutely LOVE this cn I don't care what other people say but this novel has manage to raise my appetite every time there is a cooking scene. And the pair! My favorite pair of all time honestly. I love how they interacted, it's very comedic and entertaining. I always find myself laughing so loudly at their little antics. I'm so close to finishing this novel but tye thought of it make me so sad because there will be no more of this after 😭

But I definitely recommend this, because... more>> it's a light one for me, enough that I don't stress I more so just laugh and lick my lips in hunger than anything. Love this novel! <<less

Not something you should read at night when you're hungry lol because honestly this is just food p*rn. With a dash of OP MC, tsundere ML and pretty basic face slapping. I'll come back to it when I'm the mood. Kinda got annoyed with the FL's OP-ness with accompanying zero EQ sometimes

I finally found this novel. I have read this novel years ago but I lost it. I was searching for it for sooo long. Yayy

Let me tell you this novel is a hidden gem the cute moments between the FL and ML will give you diabetes. Warning😂 This is so sweeettttt. AHHHHHHHHHH I CAN'T DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS NOVEL. This is one of my fav novel💜

The story is interesting, and the MC personality is also interesting. The couple's love development keeps me going, BUT!

Thei romantic and sweet parts of the story are really scarced. 80% of the story focused on MC's carrier, making their relationship progress so slow that makes me feel impatient to read the MC's acting/reality show parts.

And I have to complaint that MC is too mary sue. She is beautiful, cooks well, strong, has abundance spiritual power, can act well, and then suddenly, can also sing and dance well too! It's a... more>> bit unrealistic. She gathered fans so easily and quickly. There was no problem with her career development at all that it becomes boring. <<less

If you’re looking for something cute, funny, and sweet- here you go. There’s a little face slapping, but it’s mostly to check the block for the transmigration/real-false daughter trope. No angst really, just lots of food. If you’re looking for plot- better look elsewhere. This is just our MC having a good time and falling in love. Very fun though.

For a C Novel in general: 3.5

Gonna be one of my favourite! Lots of food talk, funny moment, the MC n ML romance is so slow though. Me think definitely not enough.

Poor the OgFL she got forgotten 😂 author don't even bother to write about tht villainess. Too busy writing food ~

Really an enjoyable read. There's that 1 negative comment who's hating on ML saying everything come out of his mouth is negative. Well yeah use ur brain, if u a successful person on ur young age full of arrogance suddenly bcome disabled can't b cure... more>> do u still have positive outlook on ur life?? Depression n even worse, having suicidal thought can happen. To begin with he's a very tsundere person don't expect him having normal temper in his worst state <<less

Very cute story that keeps things simple between the protagonists. No long drawn out misunderstandings or issues with family members that are not worth calling family. I enjoyed that there are not really any antagonists throughout the story. Enjoyable fluff all around.

There are quite a lot of novels I could've made a review on but I only do for those who either make me really sad or really happy. This one is the latter. It made me smile so much and laugh at times despite the already cliche entertainment trope and the very obvious protagonist halo. It really is the power of a writer that makes old things seem like new. Our MC is the usual high-powered female lead but her character was built in a way you couldn't hate; the... more>> ML is the typical hot CEO but against the MC, he can only be dorky and adorable; the people around them aren't all poisonous and the face-slappings aren't exaggerated. I should say it's a recipe book with a story lol, that's how much it stirred my appetite on chinese cuisine.

I always try to have an open and fresh mind on every story so I can enjoy it better and this is a fun read. Gosh, it's so hard to find a fun read these days so don't pass up this one. <<less

It's a 10/10 for me. The story is lighthearted, full of fluff and funny. At first I thought it's just one of the countless "switched from birth" type of stories I've read but I was wrong. Also, I was also wrong when I thought that it's just another cliché "transmigrated into a novel as a cannon fodder" type of plot. It's very unique and interesting. But along the way, he's also ridiculous especially when he's being a tsundere. Also, there's another thing that I was wrong for the third time. And that is about the white lotus sister. So we all know that 8 out of 10 C-Novels with similar plots like this have the always present white lotus sister and we'll be annoyed by them for a long time. But the sister in this story only appeared and make trouble for a very short time so I wasn't annoyed that much (plus the FL doesn't care about her anyway). Moreover, the story isn't focus on the novel ML and FL, neither the FL is concerned about the novel's plot. She just really wants to cook and make people like her (but definitely not an attention seeker). Anyway, it's really a good story from the beginning until the end, even the bonus chapters are good (their kid is funny, sensible and cute~~). <<less

Very interesting and funny! The drama is not heavy, there is more scenes of MC being "cool" and making ML speechless by her antics 😂. It's a bit Mary Sue especially with her acting skills being so good despite her being a ladle spirit originally👀 but I don't mind it. The horror movie plot was so interesting though, that I kinda wished it existed irl so I could see it. I also like how MC doesn't feel like a damsel in distress at all. It was a nice light novel. You should give it a try if you like drama-free slow romances, food descriptions and funny scenes.

The MC used to be an iron ladle from cultivation's world, she's happy to live her dream of becoming a human girl and aims to be a charming soft princess, sadly she has superhuman strength so she fails to take the 'delicate girl' route. She's pretty funny and has a sense of justice which is pretty nice. The novel denounces some important social issues such as victim-shaming, 'unspoken... more>> rules' and the submissive role of women in chinese families (specially through the thriller movie she acted in, it was pretty cool). I do respect that, usually authors gloss over that kind of thing unless it happens directly to the protagonist.

Romance is okay, the ML is too much of a tsundere overbearing CEO for my liking but he's not bad. He's kind of bland in comparison to the vibrant MC but he treats her well and respects her

I liked the fact her career advanced through her own efforts and the times he helped her it just made some things easier but she could have managed without him.

The downside is definitely the plot. The author started with a pretty tragic 'real daughter' backstory for the original owner and the ML and his family also contributed to her situation, yet after a single confrontation the MC's family was never mentioned again. ML's original plot fighting over his family's property was also totally forgotten. So, backstory ends up being unimportant.

As far as I understand, the 'real' daughter was brought back to the Tang family only to use her for their benefit, they 'adopted' her saying she was a distant relative and sold her off for 'chongxi' to Shen family... the one time they discussed her true identity as the 'real daughter', the ML and his mother criticized Tang's parents for being awful and offered to help her... but everyone seems to forget they were the ones who bought a girl for 'chongxi' in the first place, they also put a lot of expectations on her but offered absolutely no benefit to the original owner in her career or personal life. ML probably didn't like the idea but he allowed it. MIL was hoping they'd give her a grandson and stuff only mentioning the marriage had been hasty but it was time to push them to deepen their relationship... I don't like the way they never acknowledge they wronged the original owner or how unfair the situation was for her. They just expect her to act like a normal, happy wife. Dude, that's human trafficking. The romance only works because the MC's body had a soul change. I was sad during a part MC was feeling down thinking on her protagonist role as an oppresed, emotionally ab*sed wife in a thriller movie and ML said he'd never let her become like that and he'd support her in what she wanted to do... Cool, but what about the original owner? She was bought, ignored and expected to behave as a proper wife. Wouldn't she have ended up worse than the movie's protagonist? I have serious concerns about the ethics of ML and his family

Would've rated it 5 stars if it wasn't for the lazy premise. The OOC was too strong, nobody questioned it and the trust built from ML in FL was way too fast.

That's the only complaint.

Quick face slapping, minor dramatic antics, big and small laughs, and cute fluffy romance.

... more>> Primary focus is on MC's celebrity lifestyle and girl power, the romance was built in nicely.

MC is OP but is also down-to-earth and has her embarrassing & cute moments.

ML is not a 1-toned iceberg overbearing CEO and has some gap moe which made him more appealing.

Warning, it works up one hell of an appetite. <<less

I LOVE IT. Omg, the fML is absolutely hilarious, the situations are hysterically funny, and the food p*** is perfect.

Absolutely love how the novel portraits heavy subjects of women's struggles in a very calm and direct way, the empowering of women is so well written and translated, I felt so comforted while reading.

Love the tsun tsun hubby and how little drama was between them, very straightforward and, although it was held back by the naivete and obliviousness of the fml, it still gave the reassurance and slow built affection to... more>> captivate the readers.

laughed way too hard at this! Plot aside, it's an easygoing and hunger-inducing novel, and I enjoyed the romance parts since both parties are pretty chill.

in terms of translation, it's pretty good and the translator manages to convey most feelings across; but there is the issue of some words being taken too literally due to it being MTL, which is understandable but can cause some confusion:

black fan- which directly translates from 黑粉 (hēi fěn), but the meaning is anti-fan.

knock- 磕 (kē) but in the context of 磕cp, it means shipping... more>> couples.

roll- translated literally from 滚 (gǔn), but this is a bit tough as there's no English equivalent per se. It means go away, get off, etc in a rude/carefree attitude.

fart- 屁 (pì) as translated, but should be translated as bullsh*t or nonsense, given the context. [Rainbow fart is translated literally from 彩虹屁 (cǎihóng pì), this one means exaggerated praise for one's idol]

smelly boy- (臭男人 chòu nánrén) given the context, this doesn't literally mean the dude stinks. This one has a more complicated explanation for it, and I have no idea how to explain this LOL.

I'll give credit where it is due, as there are some terms well-explained by the translator which helped the story's progression. Do note that the above words are mentioned quite a few times and while it doesn't completely disrupt the novel's flow, some words used may be seen as inappropriate. I'm not dissing the translator, I do think they did a great job at translating it, but some words can be confusing when there's no explanation given.

in short, great read! I've read a couple of other foodie novels, but so far this one seems to have the better romance parts in terms of the leads. <<less
