Inconsistent translation/editing the first 1/3 of the book, which eventually evens out. Unfortunately, the last ~75 chapters are translated terribly. Seems like someone edited a machine translation with lots of repeat descriptions. At one point the same sentence is repeated 4-5 times in a row. Another decent novel ruined by webnovel's translation.

The story itself is your generic weak to strong story where the protaganist goes from a lower level world to higher level worlds. Very similar beginning to Against the Gods. There are some jumps in logic early on. Tons... more>> of word padding. The author stays at the beggining world for way to long, then all of a sudden pushes the excelerator on all of the character's cultivation. At least he decided to just speed up the story, and not just drop it from being bored. It's an ok read if you're out of better material to read. <<less

There are walls of text that consist of protagonist's thoughts and explanations. Walls and walls. And almost nothing happens.

Sometimes the author wakes up and we have 30-50 chapters of action and plot progress, and that's all, the next will be 100 chapters of internal monologue and explainations. You think "cool, so what's next?" But there is nothing, please wait for 100 chapters. Meh

It feels like the author is trying to learn how to write so the writing is inconsistent. Or maybe the author is not alone.

Coming after Evil Monarch,... more>> it is such a disappointment. <<less

Biggest flaw in this novel is that the author is not consistent with the powers of the MC. In the first 100 chapters the MC even boasted hat he could handle even sky origin stage, and arrogantly said he could wipe the crown prince with a sky origin guarding him. But now he is facing few earth origin stage and sky origin stage to assassinate him. And boooom plot armors lvl999. A reincarnated MC who stand at the peak of his previous life cant even handle sh*t assasins in lower... more>> world but had to rely on plot armor. Im done with this book. I dont know why the author's book are not good except EOM.

Im really disappointed how things work here in 200 chapters. Separation for strength? EOM MC grow at the end with his girls around him supporting him without living them so far just to grow. Ye Futian from Legend of Futian novel always has his wife fighting beside him. They grow together. But this one? I can already tell how the harem will be handle by separation for gaining strength with different backing from different realms. Not my taste of how the author made the arrangement so this is how far I can read. <<less

MC is not as smart as advertised - for a hundreds of year old guy who reached a high level of cultivation in his previous life, he sure is very silly and acts childishly. There are some scenes where he uses his brains, and some comical scenes, but most of the time it is cliche over cliche... Other characters are unbearable - overbearing females are somehow cute, nemesis have even stronger plot armor and his spy network can tell as minute detail as how much the MC drank in a... more>> party! MC sticking his nose in all matters - story is full of MC's antics and here and there a line of how MC's cultivation reached so and so level.... <<less

I have only one word to describe my feeling when reading this novel.

DISAPPOINTED

This novel has the same element as TTNH and OEM however it ruin the element and it is a huge disappointment for Feng Lin Tian Xia's novel

Love the MC, he's a complete dork but not your typical homicidal, overpowered main character. Careful though this author needs a copy editor very badly. The author over explains everything so badly that it takes numerous chapters just get the flow of the story back. It's one of the worst examples of over explanations and conjecture padding. Each fight scene or important scene will have at least 3 to 4 chapters of useless story before the fight starts.

The annoying:

He will explain freaking everything. What's wrong with these Wuxia novel writers?... more>> They over explain and write like each chapter is an essay rather than story telling? It's fine but what the hell is this over explanation and extreme redundancy? Redundant, repetitive, over explanations, conjecture word padding, redundant, repetitive, over explanations, conjecture word padding, redundant, repetitive, over explanations, conjecture word padding, redundant, repetitive, over explanations, conjecture word padding, redundant, repetitive, over explanations, conjecture word padding.... see? Annoying right? So this makes the story like it's driving through mud.

The ok:

Well, the story is funny, less over acting, bad guys are not all homicidal children of the corn, slapstick stuff, he's not all knowing or all powerful (i like that), the women are stronger than other novels but are still demeaned (which sucks), uhm there's more but if you can just skim through things it's an ok novel. There are some hilarious scenes which is what I like. <<less

The MC is just proud but somewhat s*upid compared to Chu Yang from transcending the nine heavens.

It's annoying how s*upid he can be. I can understand a romantically dense protagonist. But a man shouldn't let his arrogance turn him s*upid. Ye Xiao is actually so s*upid that he can be compared to the subordinates of Diwu Qing Rou who were totally lead around by nose by Chu Yang.

Seriously annoying!

That's what happens here. But the story is great. It's indeed a must read novel if you love majestic protagonists. And if you have a God complex xD <<less

I can tell honestly. I still kept on reading this novel. Still ignore people comment how idiotic the MC was. My brain still would like to know how he survive to meet again his fiance. As his fiance already become apprentice to those high almighty master unknown heaven realm. Yes, adding curiosity how this novel progress.

Another thing, MC is a reincarnate in a human boy with a same name. MC has two background past. First, is kill by all cultivators who snatching cultivation resource in another realm. Second, MC background past in a new human body. The MC has rough childhood, his mother been far away from him for the sake MC safety and MC 's father safety. As his father take him to lower realm raise him.

Lastly, for what I read so far. MC got enormous different tasks to fulfill. Adding, talented medical field and martial fighter.

Pretty impressive actually. I didn't think it'd actually be a quite a decent novel. Have high hopes on this one.

350+chapters and I'm quite disappointed. Total lack lustre of content, deviation from plot with lame attempts at sick jokes now and then. It's a signature move of the author.. Story starts out well and half way through you realise you're just reading empty useless words. Best for binge reading. Scroll down in 5 seconds and you get the gist of chapter. Well atleast its better than OEM & TTNH imho.

Really enjoyable:

    • Main character is bearable, and not a moronic psycho like in many other stories of the same kind. Contrary to some comments, I actually liked how dense he is, it makes him cute IMO, and makes the romance way more interesting.
    • There are like always cliche side characters (you know, the "you're courting death!" ones), but some of them have actual depth, and some of them even change over the time.
    • The harem is not bad and not rushed, as characters are also developed way further than usual, and some of them really powerful characters.
    • The comedy is a good idea, in a ocean of stories usually way too solemn.
