In his previous life Bai Lang was a small star. He rejected his boss and foolishly engaged in a relationship which he thought was true love.

After his rebirth, he decided to give up on true love. As for his boss… since he wants something then just let him have it.

So this little star after his rebirth collected his boss, and then it became a true love story with his boss.

In between there are good friends/love rivals/s*um men in the mix. A sweet story with a happy ending.

I don't know how many times I've read this story, but I keep on coming back because I haven't found a story as nice as this one. And I love reading the reviews too since I've nothing much to do lol. It makes me delighted that some readers pointed out the things I like while some pointed out the things I missed. Like wow.

Also for those negative feedbacks, well, what can I say, people have different taste and preferences, it just turned that what I like, they don't.

Future readers! Don't... more>> hesitate to read. This book is really nice. ♥️ Also, I'm hoping someone will drop a story as good as this one in the review section 🤣. Sadly, I have found none. 🙄 <<less

Definitely 5 star. A story with mature romance between 2 adults, one of the story about entertaining close to reality. This is one of my among the entertainment story.

Sometimes it make me laugh to read a super rich CEO ride a business class flight. Super rich CEO ride his private jet. Have you ever seen those crazy rich queueing with us commoners in the boarding room? No, they don’t have time for that. And that’s exactly what our ML does here.

The other is, our MC did not hv social media.... more>> I notice a lot of big star didn’t hv social media. Our MC focus on his job rather than internet. I love him.

I like how our MC decide to repay the kindness of people who kind to him in his past sad life, and did not forget to cut ties with people who harm him. He didn’t took revenge, but he certainly not s*upid.

Some people might disappointed with our ML past, or with how their relationship start from the wrong foot. I think that’s what makes it cute, and closer to reality. Lots of cute moment between them and not too sweet. Just the right dose of fluffiness.

The only flaw is there is no thrusting and f*cking some loose plot that I really want author to explain it in extras, although she decide to give us mystery. Just like our MC didn’t know what our ML truly feels about him in his last life, nor why our ML desperate to save him, we also don’t know. The answer must be love, but it will be nicer if we get the complete picture. <<less

I have reread this 3 times because it is so freaking cute. Plus the novel is not that long.

The relationship between the MC and the ML slowly builds up. Though they started from a money-related relationship, they started to slowly care for one and another. Then, they finally confess that they have feelings for each other and I thought that it was really cute.

Another plus point will be that little child. He is sooooo freaking cute. I honestly think that his presence made the relationship between the MC and ML... more>> proceed to another level so I'm very thankful to him. If not for him, the MC and ML might take a longer time before acknowledging their feelings and getting together.

Definitely worth the read :) <<less

I really enjoyed this... it's particularly cute and fluffy

I really enjoyed that the rebirth gave him an advantage but it wasn't really a huge gold finger that got him out of all troubles.

There were instances that he couldn't predict and aftereffects of the butterfly effect from the changes he caused and he didn't have a lot of knowledge that would help him make money - he only remembered one sure thing he could invest in and that also didn't give him instant profits and then one other thing that had... more>> the potential but would be touch and go because he knew he would be changing the circumstances of the people involved if he invested when he did which could affect how they develop in the future - this too was an instance where he started making money later rather instantly as you see in some other rebirth novels.

The ML does have a child that he had previously but he's honestly the adorablest and the mother basically doesn't exist so no scheming past lady here which I enjoyed.

Fake White Lotus? Check ✓

A cute and shy kid MC was not aware of? Check ✓

This reminds me of ''Transmigrated into the Film Emperor’s Death-Seeking Fiance'' but I liked this one better, mostly because there is no mpreg lmao. After all the ansgty novels I've finished, I really needed this one; it's a p light read. You can read it all in one day!

It was super fluffy and cute and I loved the interaction between the main chara and the ML and his kid. But I couldn't help but expect more plot or acting scenes from the movies MC filmed. I'm not even too sure what most of the movies he filmed was about. Also, I expected the face-slapping so it's fine and I liked that the MC was forgiving and didn't push the villains to near death but at the same time, I felt like he could be more lenient to certain... more>> characters, like Su Yuan.

Su Yuan was basically forced to be this plaything for an old man and ended up having to give up his career. I know he did harmful things but I felt like his ending was too harsh. Also, I get that his ex was not a good guy but did he really deserve to be basically gang r*ped in jail?

Pros

    • Fluffy content btwn MC, ml, and kid
    • MC is actually quite forgiving (he face-slaps, but not to the extent of most in these types of stories)
    • I liked that the ML was in love first and is very supporting of the mc
    • Not a lot of drama btwn main couple, which is absolutely wonderful
Cons

    • not enough detail on the movies (basically described the mc's role and how cool he looks and then maybe a few scenes from the move and that's it.
    • not a lot of plot development (I felt like a lot of actions/emotions were told rather than expressed through the writing sometimes)
So, in conclusion, if you're looking for a cute short story to pass the time, then this is it. If you're looking for something deeper and with a lot more plot and details on the movies, then this isn't it. Still a good story, just wasn't for me.

I'd say that the side couple is Qiu Xiaohai and Rong Zan. Like their interactions are so cute especially in the side stories. Its kinda confusing whos gong or shou but I'm imagining a Rong Zan gong and Qiu Xiaohai shou cuz in the side stories, its hinted that Rong Zan is the taller of the two and also hes the one thats more dominant of the two (Rong Zan is the one who initiates kiss+is the one who is described as using force)

If the MC doesn't want it, the ML doesn't push it. Because of this style, the ML is honestly not very present in the first 20 chapters or so, as they focus on the MC developing his own career. This isn't a super long read and isn't outrageous in any way. There are no insanely romantic moments, but I liked it like that because it went along with the flow a lot better--neither of them are the type to do something so drawn from fiction, but are the types to satiate their partner's desires, which leads to occasional romantic (but not overbearingly so) moments between them.

The real MVP were the kids lol. <<less

finished reading this novel in one whole night and didn't regret a bit! 5 stars from me. The MC reborn but he did not just thrive to get his revenge. He tried to forget his revenge but when he thinks it's too much, he got revenge but not by his own hands (?) im not really sure how to explain but most of the time, it's the ML who did the revenge for him but it's never the underhanded method.

ML trapped those for hurt the MC by money/scam and not just cripple them. Except for that one martial arts instructor, bcs he punched MC so that MC got heart attack. So he beat the instructor back and lured him into gambling.

Also MC is not forced. He fully consents on their relationship. Which I think similar to sugardaddy-sugarbaby. He's the one who went to ML and offer himself. Because in his last life, the ML tryna gets into his pants but the MC didn't want it also then the ML wants the MC to be his kept lover but MC didn't agree so they don't really have a relationship other than a superior (ceo of the entertainment company) and an artist of the company.

overall, this novel is worth a reading! It doesn't really have dark theme or not but enough angst (actually not really angsty though) and just enough amount of fluff! Especially the ml's son! &Lt;3 but don't worry the mom is not even in the picture. It's just a family of three consists of the MC, ML and their son! <<less

Really really good, to the point that I keep coming back to this novel and rereading it. Not the typical entertainment rebirth story as,

  1. MC doesn't focus on revenge, but on living his life and living it well;
  2. MC and ML's relationship starts atypically as they get into a physical relationship first before slowly getting to know each other and falling in love; and
  3. MC has a heart disease, which isn't serious, but does have to be managed well.
PS: one of the best parts is ML's son, he is so meng~

Pretty okay read, at first I hated ML’s guts but I wanted to see where it would go and ended up approving his relationship with the MC. I just wish the MC didn’t have to suffer so much not just in the past life but also in the current life before he got a happy ending. Really angsty story, I would have liked the ML and MC to have a relationship built on mutual trust and love rather than money. It felt like a rough journey, I just really wanted... more>> MC to be happy so after reading the last chapters I was satisfied with ending. I like the ending, or the ending of the extra chapters, because the last few sentences made me think “maybe things will improve even more for the MC, it’s what he deserves after all.” <<less

This story warms my heart, is light and doesn't have too much plot.

There is a development of the characters as the story progresses and I'm enjoying it. The changes are quite logical, so they are easy to accept.

Unfortunately, the worldbuilding is not detailed, so is the process of the character's career journey.

The author writes this story well enough so that each component in the novel is easy to understand. Although there are a few things that have been left out, but it doesn't interfere with my enjoyment of reading this... more>> novel.

Anyway, I recommend this novel for those of you who like cute stories and characters (I'm not talking about MC and ML, you know, that's a surprise for you). <<less

Well paced plot, lots of angst, lots of fluff, great translation, and not needlessly drawn out??? Perfection hahshhdhdh

Plus the character development was nice.

A perfect one day read uwu the meng served by the kids was chef's kiss

(plus no graphic s*x scenes??? THANK YOU! Often some novels are continuously riddled by smut scene after smut scene every 2-3 chapter it becomes a chore to read them so this was a much needed breath of fresh air)

It's been a long time since I last read this but it's a satisfying novel for me. Re-reading it when I can't find any other novels to read.

Character development was good, not the kind when it's just poofs suddenly becomes like that. Honestly, I can't remember how many times I read this. Another thing, QXH! Ah~ Baby is so adorable I swear~~

This would be a worth read.

I really like it. The stories are shorts and light, you don't have to wrecj your brain to figure out many hidden meaning while reading. Furthermore, there are no plot repetitions and the MC starts to build their strength slowly, which for me, more realistic. They also didn't waste words to describe unnecessary things. The background story of the MC is quite unique. This is the first I read the reborn MC having those heart wrecking ending in their previous life, moreover after they died the soul still linger and... more>> able to see the afterwards. <<less

First time I read a novel in which the MC and ML began their relationship in such a way, but can't say that I hated it. It was particularly down to earth and the transition from their business relationship moving into a romantic one was nicely done. Too bad for the relationship between the ML and his friends though. If there is anything this novel is missing is just any sort of explanation as why the MC got a second chance.

A sensible and realistic MC and a very smooth and entertaining story. The dog blood wasn’t intense or exaggerated to high heaven and the MCs golden finger from rebirth was very sensibly done. I liked and didn’t like how some character ending were left too open and there is till some mystery regarding the ML before his rebirth that never got explained.

but it was a very enjoyable read
