In his previous life Bai Lang was a small star. He rejected his boss and foolishly engaged in a relationship which he thought was true love.

After his rebirth, he decided to give up on true love. As for his boss… since he wants something then just let him have it.

So this little star after his rebirth collected his boss, and then it became a true love story with his boss.

In between there are good friends/love rivals/s*um men in the mix. A sweet story with a happy ending.

It's a lovely second-chance story with enough dose of drama to keep it interesting until the end. This is one of a rare novel that didn't feed on extreme emotions (unreasonable insane hatred or crazy possessive love,) but instead steadily roll out its story woven with a balance of logic and emotion, such that made you feel that their love and happiness are naturally the obvious ending to this tale. The insane use of "however". Didnt notice until half-way through the novel. HOWEVER, once you do, you can't unsee it. Drove me crazy at some point...

I really want to give review here, or have I? Anyway, this novel is super fantastic, it is calm, I love how Bai Lang is my fav MC from all novels that I've read so far. He is so rational, kind and patient. He does not focus on face slapping due to his previous life. He knows the consequences of his actions, the butterfly effects that he creates, and he tries to be better and prevent bad things (some cannot be avoided). All in all, I really love Ah Bai... more>> so much, read this novel many many times for healing. <<less

(17 Sep 2021) 4/5 Re-read it and honestly it's about as ok-ish as I remembered? It's not spectacular and is also pretty dogblood. Nice to read but not as amazing as I expected from the ratings (4.7, wow!) The kids were cute though.

Wow! That’s a GOLD!

When I only started reading I never thought it would be this good. Here we have a good heartwarming story, with good amount of nice drama, different villains, moderate moving plot! I love it.

It was strange at the beginning but the taste of this novel was changing the move I reached it. I even cried. It really happens rarely.

This second chance story is amazing. There is a face slapping and revenge, career, development of relationships. All you need is here. Even the children are soooooo cute. Love... more>> them and all the extras about them. Maybe I should start reading more stories with children, ba. Showbiz is also quite nice.

What was a nice point for me, that while reading I can almost never predict hat will happen next. It’s really good point, because mostly I can do this when read novels.

In short, I very very recommend this novel. <<less

It was beyond perfection that I couldnt help but stare blankly into space when I have finished reading at the last chapter. This is the first time that I wish that the characters were real.

Didn't expect this to be so good.

I've read a lot of rebirth and revenge but somehow this story is the best for me.

Reasons:

... more>> 1. The MC is very realistic in all his actions after rebirth. His revenge was not overly dramatic and dark (which I observe in most stories) but rather he does what he can and wasn't bloodthirsty about it.

2. The ML wasn't very domineering despite being a big boss. He actually takes care of the MC very well. Better than most MLS I've seen in revenge stories. Another plus point is that this guy

actually exposed their relationship. Not unlike other stories where the author cuts it to just mere plans and promises. My wish to have a publicized relationship was fulfilled.

Overall, I really love the ML and his papapa (it's not explicit but I just really love how overly infatuated and in love the ML is with MC)

3. Quite unexpectedly the ML has a baby and he's suuuuuuper duper cute. The added fluff and meng because of the boy made me hooked. He's also such a spoiled nice kid who always clings to MC and ML. I love how he's so close to the MC and how overly doting their relationship is. Because of this MC finally got to experience a life of a happy family.

4. The revenge and face slaps satisfied me. Although MC was not actively seeking revenge, the ML made up for all the shortcomings with his intense support.

THE CUTEST PART ACTUALLY HERE IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ML'S BABY AND HIS CHILDHOOD FRIEND. UGH I ACTUALLY WANT MORE EXTRAS ABOUT THEM.

I usually don’t read shounen Ai (prefers mature content) but I totally love this one. Everything is well written. The characters are all black and white

This past few days I got interested reading rebirth stories then someone recommended me this and I decided to give it a try. I love the novel realistic plot and the relationship development. Must read if you enjoyed reading rebirth stories too, it's not that really dark storyline I enjoyed reading it.

Didn't expect much from this but d*mn, this is so good and I feel so good and bad for both the MC and ML. For MC bcs of his past and for ML bcs of his past and present dedication to MC. Short, but this story was full of twist and turns that tests both the MC and ML's relationship. They both didn't have it easy. I want more! This was just so pure. Unlike other second chance stories where the MC actively seeks revenge, here the MC mostly wants to live well and only fights back when provoked. It was very nice and beautiful to read.

I really love Bai Langs character, very peaceful that it was refreshing.

And I can't remember how many time I've already read this.

No matter, each time I fall in love this novel over and over again.

Also Qiu Qian, Xiao Hai are so darn perfect and cute!!!

Common plot of rebirth but still liked it.

At first I thought ML was not worthy of MC but through the story they developed understanding and love for each other.இ﹏இ

Entertainment circle was main part of this novel. Wrongdoer got what they should. At last the extras was good; containing story about the two kids aka side couple.

I LOVE everything... more>> in this novel. The shou is strong, kindhearted. He has been repeatedly taken advantage of before his rebirth, he woke up desiring no revenge. He won't act unless provoked that's what I like best about our MC. Nevertheless, he's smart and never allowed anyone to take advantage of him again. I cried and was broken hearted because of the MC, how he struggled and finally was victorious in the end (thanks to our ML for the support and love!!!!). As for our gong, he's over bearing but really loves the shpu. He's always there giving invinsible hands to help our MC from the start. AND not to mention the sweet little child that completed the family of three! I am so in love with this one and will definitely re-read. Story 9.5/10 <<less

Very different type of rebirth in entertainment industry!

for once the MC is not powerful enough to do anything because he was not a bid star before death, and he's not dead set of doing becoming more famous to get revenge. Since he's a heart disease, he'd rather live well than being consumed by hatred towards his family and ex to make his goal of life to take revenge. Contrary to other novels he really retains more realistic and human feelings. Adding kids to the story is cute too. Meng seeling

It's a good rebirth novel and MC making a different life decisions on his second life. He's more mature now and He can see the whole picture. There's also the development of our couple. ML at the first life -he's an awkward guy and don't know how to express his feelings. On thr second life kinda great that he can express more here wellthat's also the contribution of our MC's rebirth self. Good revenge and turnaround story from a tragic past

Ahaaaaaaa! Love it!😍😍😍

It's a masterpiece. At first we curse the ML for his s*umbag attitude then realize he is almost the only one truly caring for the MC. Then we get some grilling and when it reaches a point it becomes a fluffy cotton candy to lick and enjoy.😎😚

... Sudden being a single dog is really maddeninng!😩

It’s a nice novel to read if you are looking for a quick read. The author does seem to skip the details for some major events through out the story, only focusing on the plot essentials, so the reading is pretty fast paced. There were times where I was left wanting more details/a bit confused, but the lack of it isn’t detrimental to the story. The characters are interesting and the dynamic of the main character and his new family is very cute. I really love the MC of this... more>> story since even after going through so much hardships in his past life, he developed to be a mature person instead of succumbing to the rabbit hole of revenge, he lives his second chance with hope and takes opportunities his way gratefully.

overall I would definitely recommend this novel for when you have time.

Despite many good reviews, this book felt kind of inexperienced and immature so I dropped it. I planned to drop it around chapter 16 but wanted to read a bit more in case it gets better but I can't with the dialogues. I thought this would be a mature romance story based on the reviews but for me the story really feels like a poorly written romance of a Mafia CEO x Movie Star Wattpad story. There are many cringey cliches such as the cute hidden kid who immediately falls... more>> in love with the ML, stubborn overbearing parents who favor the other child, and creepy obsessed canon fodder who goes to dangerous lengths to get with the MC. In my opinion, the drama and world building wasn't realistic at all like what other reviews said. Most of the dialogue was over the top and dramatic lmao. The s*xual scenes were also kind of cringey to read? Like the author was inexperienced at writing them or whatever. I don't really care about s*xual scenes and if there is one or not but since this story does, I felt the need to comment that the progression wasn't smooth and a bit awkward to read.

The ML also irritated me a bit. The romance felt more like a possessive mafia love story than a possessive CEO story (if anyone knows the difference) and the mafia trope just overshadowed everything else for me when I read at their romance. Also, I couldn't shake off the sleazy look I had of the ML just because of the way the ML was described lmao but the ML is commented as very handsome.

The MC on the other hand... if you love face slapping revenge and the MC wowing everyone with his experience then give it a try. There's one thing that irked me though and it was that the characters said the MC had a sunny and nice personality but it wasn't reflected most of the time or at least I didn't pick up on it. The MC to me feels superficial and a bit cold, even when talking to other people as if he doesn't want to get too close which is understandable until the side characters praise how the MC has a sunny personality to build the dramatic affect of the MC being cold to a s*um bag and then it throws me off. Maybe if I kept reading the writing would get better but I can't with the Wattpad vibes.

Overall, not my cup of tea but there are many other readers who liked it so it's not bad to give it a try! This is just my opinion in case someone with my reading taste stumble upon this. <<less
