😂Kind of a shitty plot? Yeah yeah it is. Did I still loved it? Totally.

The MC is pretty much a lovable fool, if you don't want to hit him in the head, you will want to dote on him.

... more>> ML? Good dude. The conflict isn't strong at all but the relationship is exactly what you need after studying. Doesn't require a lot of mental gymnastics, super easy to follow. Sometimes a little annoying.

I do often look for stuff like this, because I like exercising my english, but I can't read complex stuff if my brain is already fried from studying or work. For those situations? This is a great choice. <<less

This was so hard to read omg. First few chapters in and MC was already sexualized. It should be noted that despite the rebirth scheme, his body is aged 13 and yet the ML who's 18 seems to be having reactions? Context clues revealed so. This book got me nauseous geez.

Okay... the only thing keeping my from rating this novel 1 star is the drama. I'm an absolute sucker for dramatic revenge plots. Plus, the story in general was quite fluffy in terms of romance. Here's the issue- and I assure you, it's a BIG ISSUE- the ML is literally so predatory.

Okay, oh my god, seriously gets so disgusting sometimes. And maybe I'm being sensitive... actually, no, I'm not! Literally so disturbed by this abhorrent and BLATANT. NORMALIZATION. OF P*DOPHILIA. Some might argue that the ML, who at the beginning... more>> is 18, isn't a predator because he waited for the MC to become of age. Wrong! Let's not forget that he got it up for the MC when he wa s literally 13?? He dressed him up in suggestive clothing, took advantage of his assumed "innocence", and literally repeatedly stressed how much he couldn't wait to do him. Yeah... uh, some might say it's not a big deal because it's just fiction... but fictional or not, it is so not okay to s*xualize children.

Another thing! The ML LITERALLY GROOMED THE MC. I don't care if the MC is actually 30, the ML went into it thinking he was 13. He m*lested him constantly with the intent to prepare him for when he turns 18... which is just so distasteful and creepy.

The infantilization in the story is also so insane. Every description of the MC is literally about how little and cute and delicate he is... like seriously? So weird. Paints a horribly suggestive picture of gay men, particularly bottoms. Literally as I'm typing this, I'm wondering why I didn't rate it 1 star. The bad seriously outweighs the good. Oh, well.

Putting aside the obvious bad parts, I have another critique. The story is so weirdly written. It was so detailed and interesting in the beginning, but it seems that as we progressed further into the story, the author started to not care. The novel is super jumpy, some scenes could be focused on for a whole chapter, while others would be described with a few sentences. The pacing was just very off and confusing to read.

My point: who cares if it's cute?? At this point, I don't even care if the story was horribly written. Don't excuse the inappropriate behavior exhibited by both the characters and the author. No hate to the author, but they need to get their views realigned. <<less

Enjoyable read despite many flaws!

Summary is intriguing so I decided to read despite many bad reviews. I liked it more than I thought!! I was very curious to find out how this couple could turn this taboo relationship into a publicly accepted one. And of course the smut ;)

... more>> Good things in this story:

1. ML's unconditional love for MC. He never questions MC's dislike for certain people. Just accepts it and let him be. He dotes on MC so terribly. Lots of fluff.

2. Both MC and ML are super jealous

3. Love the doting elders! They love MC and ML a lot.

4. Built up of s*xual tension and frustration was really good here. Due to MC's young age ML couldn't do things too obvious, but they did a lot of taboo things.

5. ML is always super hot for MC. He is kinky and pe*verted. Lots and lots of s*x. They try out much kinky stuff, incl dressing up, positions, locations etc.

So for a Chinese BL it contains lots of smut. Though still censored (no explicit descriptions), the author describes a lot of papapa instead of just mentioning that they did it the whole night.

6. No white washing of MC by author. MC is super good for people that treated him well. But imo his revenge is much worse than what MC received in the previous life. So, in the eyes of the villains and readers he is unnecessary cruel and unforgiving. What I like is that the author didn't really try to white wash MC's flawed character. I hate those s*um stories in which authors try to explain the bad deeds of the s*um gong or s*um shou (and treating as if the reader only has 2 braincells).

I can like stories where the ML and/or MC are very flawed.

7. I loved the story more and more after they really became a couple (2nd half) and towards the end. So much fluff incl

6. No real plot and some things and characters are so briefly mentioned like ML's best friend. Scenes are not fleshed out at all and makes the writing look unprofessional, messy and rushed (whilst all the smut scenes appears too often and lengthy in comparison) <<less

Honestly disappointing, when I first read the novel. I thought it was pretty ok, looking back now. It isn't that great. The thing that really pissed me off is how MC acted to his younger brother (SY).

Basically SY is still a baby at this time but MC immediately hates him. Disgusting behavior really, you're hating on an actual kid and ruined the kid's life without him doing any wrongs he did in your past life. It doesn't make sense y'all.

Furthermore, I for one always hated the plot point of having... more>> sons and then a single baby daughter. The daughter is obviously going to grow up spoiled or something, trust me I grew up as an only child and the youngest among my cousins. I'm a spoiled brat too.

MC is just dumb, he knows technical stuff but he's dumb in the way that he's THAT oblivious. The ML of course is like a dog to the MC. ML hates SY because MC hates him. Can't we have some I don't know, people with actual brains here?

To sum it up, MC and ML are disgusting. I pity SY and the other "villains", they haven't even done the crimes they did in MC's past life but of course MC doesn't care and punished them. <<less

I want to thank the translator for their hard work.

I personally don't feel like there is g*ooming in this story. The actions don't feel predatory, more exploratory and possessive.

The older brother has never experienced romantic feelings of any kind in either life. Even looking at naughty pics seems to be something that he had no interest in. His growing feelings for his younger brother (not any blood relation or raised together) seem to confuse him. He feels very protective and proprietary over the young man.

The younger brother is reliving his... more>> life so should have experience with romance, but almost seems to have regressed emotionally. The only way you remember he is 30 is because he says it repeatedly. Otherwise, he acts in the childish way that matches his body. (Older bro is 18 and he is 13 or 15)

As someone that has had physical relationships, you would assume he would recognise the desire his brother is developing for him, but I believe that due to the almost idol worshipping view he has, he can't conceive of his god like brother having lustful thoughts.

That is how I perceive it and would explain how they both seem quite oblivious about the innapropriate relationship they develop. They both make excuses in their heads and can reason away things so having a bath together seems acceptable and not strange to them.

The author seems to have some bias or confusion about gay men. Every now and then, he will say something slightly offensive. "Even as a homo, he has boundaries", etc. It is a little off and feels innapropriate. Luckily it doesn't happen often, but it does happen a few times. Something to be aware of.

His memories do colour his feelings, and can sometimes make his thoughts sound harsh. Like wanting his mother to miscarry his younger brother because they are both awful. Obviously, with things changing, people can also change. Not those that are fully formed like the adults, but a baby can be raised and a teen can be influenced with the right opportunities. As an outsider, it seems overboard, but obviously, we aren't the ones that experienced the pain and betrayal that he has which forms his opinions.

This story is also achingly slow. It is well written, but could probably have 1/3 removed without being detrimental to the overall story.

It's not bad. It's not great. Would I buy it? No Will I read it again. Maybe. With some skimming. Would I recommend it? Probably. It's one of those that you would throw out as a "give it a go" type stories.

If you like bro con stories, this is a good one. This also does have interesting character growth. I did like this story overall.

Edit: as it gets closer to end, (If you manage to hang on) you get some sweetness. Their relationship, his uncle, both their dad's. Based on the chapters after 130ish, it gets a lot better. I would probably read this again.

There is something so wonderful about how they all deal with it. Considering how most families in these kind of books are usually either against the couple, don't accept it, etc, it was a pleasant surprise how supportive and encouraging the dad and grandpa were. Giving the family heirloom engagement ring was just so cute!

The ML is clearly a pe*ophile taking advantage of a child, and when they develop into a romantic relationship (still ChildxAdult), the ML is controlling and overbearing (in and out of bed, he controls what he eats, monitors where he goes, with who and what he does; always forces his opinions and wishes on the MC; and the fact that he waits for him to sleep to change his clothes to lingerie, even tho the MC is obviosly unconfortable with it, specially in the beginning, when he was still a 13/14 y.o. Child and there was NO romantic feelings or awareness for his part). He's also disrespectful, the MC clearly doesn't want to have s*x on his father's office or in the car while the bodyguards are in it, but the ML just doesn't give a sh*t about what his partner wants.

Anyways, I liked it in the beginning, but it just made me more and more unconfortable. It is well writen and well translated, I really wanted to know the ends of the mother and the little brother, but I don't have stomach anymore, at this point the "romantic" scenes disturb the hell out of me, I just can't anymore. <<less

This started out as a very interesting read. I was so hooked with all the face slapping and revenge plots, until the MC turned all psycho with his little baby bro. I mean, come on, treating a new born baby like a devil who's out to get blood. No matter how much the author tried to justify Shu Ning's actions and feelings towards his baby bro, I just can't.

The way the author forces scenerios just to paint Shu Yao (baby bro) as a spoiled rotten child who will eventually grow... more>> up as a hateful person, does not sit well with me. The logic and reasoning is very forced and cringy.

This story could have gotten 5 stars, but the way the revenge to the baby bro was handled was way too disturbing and appalling for me, in fact it made me lose my interest to this novel. I am giving this a 2.5. <<less

There is quite a bit of... pe*o vibes though and in*est... while we all know they're not actually related, having to read "brother" during the papapa scenes were a little too much. Speaking of s*x scenes, once they did it for the first time they became nymphos and there wasn't a chapter without it. Also. Unrealistic. Why the f*ck did he faint all the time. That's f*cked.

Honestly at this point I'm not so sure whether I should continue reading or not, because the story feels quite repetitive to me.

Let me point out the good points first.

- the translator is excellent! She updates consistently and the quality is superb, so thumbs up

At first it was quite cute how the MC and ML interacted, but it's soooooo long winded and dragged on. After a while I'd just skip those parts and wait for the revenge parts.

This is my opinion on chapters 1-62 so I don't know how it develops in the future thus I can't really say my review is reliable :) <<less

Since c82 I've been skimming whenever SN and SH are together, I get it already, they want each other, but can the time skip happen already! But it is interesting to see how SH's treatment of SN has changed him, definitely made him spoiled.

I enjoy reading this. Has some decent drama and about chapter 45 it get real heavy on the fan service. Be warned though it's shotacon fan service. Borderline too but hasn't crossed the line. It funny to think that if this was a strait harem novel the fan service would seem relatively normal.

Oni Girl,

let me just say that in this story, pretty much EVERYONE around them is a villain? It's not just females, there are males too. The main villain needs to be female bc of her identity as the mc's MOTHER. Please do not focus on whether the story is 'fair to all genders, s*x orientations, races, ' and all that bullshit. The author is really not denouncing any of the genders. Just enjoy the story.

I like this book a lot and I find the interaction between the main couple cute and funny BUT!!! Why does the author insists on writing all the women in the book as villains!? That is extremely biased! And I saw this happening in allmost all the yaoi books I have read so far. Again, I like this story, but if this discrimination towards women continues then my rating will go down. I still have hope for this book and I hope it will improve. My thanks to the traslators!

at first it was quite fun and flirty. I don’t mind the teasing between the brothers because the older brothers really really respectful the entire time.

the real problem is the use of r*pe by almost all the characters (good and bad) to punish each other and score points. I’m dropping because of the whole Wang Cong plot line. I don't know what to say. The author may have wanted to write a story about childhood sweethearts and love from childhood to adulthood. I don't care what the author wants to write or what the author tries to write or what she (?) has in mind. All I know is that this story goes exactly like this. 13-year-old boy who is constantly kissed on the lips by his 18-year-old brother, also forced to bathe by his brother, and again forced by his brother to take off his clothes and... more>> wear special pajamas with tails, even though he does not want to.

We know that the 13-year-old boy was actually reborn and his age is around 30. But his 18-year-old brother doesn't know. The 18-year-old brother knows that his brother is 13 years old. And frankly, the author mentions in many places that he is very smart, intelligent and wise, so he must also be able to understand that his 13-year-old brother is not mature enough both physically and mentally. But still he tries to kiss his brother on the lips, and when his brother does not want to and tries to leave him, he holds him by force and gets angry. Even though he knew his brother was a child.

Simply put, the male lead has a crush on his own 13-year-old boy brother and often gets hard on his own brother while spending times with him. TO HIS 13 YEAR OLD BROTHER!

More simply, the 18-year-old brother is raising his new 13-year-old brother as his bride. Even though his brother has been reborn, he doesn't know it. We all agree how serious a problem this is, right? If the real person there was a 13-year-old boy, we all agree on what kind of troubles he might face in the process of growing from childhood to adulthood, right? Although MC is also reborn but has the mind of a 13-year-old boy, I'm talking about real 13 year old kid.

As I said, I don't know what the author was trying to tell, but she (?) created a story completely on the subjects I wrote above. And I feel like we need to please take a moment to agree, even if this is a story, how serious and problematic this issue is. <<less

I actually kinda liked this novel? I don't really know how to say this as this is a flawed novel and I don't disagree with the low rating, but for me I saw beyond just the written words. All the background we were given by the author, their personalities, and endings added more to this novel than maybe the author even intended. The fact is the people who read this could actually root for the villains, feel distaste for the MC's actions, and even give sympathy to those who were... more>> supposed to only be fodder for the main character's epic tale. I've read a lot of novels with villains that were horribly corrupt bereaved of any sympathy only used to make the MC look better. Some people caught on to this and would call it bad writing others knew what they were going to be reading beforehand and viewed it as foolish to complain or at least distasteful.

The point is I could imagine these characters as people and with what I was given from the author I began to flesh out these characters. Their stories and scars that didn't end with a happily ever after or a god given second chance. I could see them as more than irreconcilable villains that had no character. They weren't "good" people and they did bad things in another life and may have continued to do bad things in their new life as well, but don't a lot of people? They haven't really done anything, they had their own lives to live with their own problems and it wasn't like the MC wasn't at fault for his own fate. Is it really right to blame them for everything, yet what about all the anger and pain the past MC felt. Where would all of that go? Should we just expect him to forgive and forget?

With all of this in my head I couldn't help but think that this novel showed true revenge. Revenge isn't righteous or pious and villains aren't all bad. How many people can be so horrible in this world with not one single good quality, and now how many of those exact people can one person involve themselves with. Revenge in most cases can be said to be selfish, so no matter what good reason you have it doesn't really change much about what you did or do. A good reason doesn't make a wrong right. I think those flaws are shown in this novel I can imagine this novel being so much better if it was properly fleshed out and if the author had actually expanded on their characters.

This doesn't change the novels flaws as it is a bit sexist and has major moral dilemmas among other things but the flaws are actually what made me like it, so you can kinda get my hesitance. <<less

The story over all is nice but if you look into another perspective, the MC is evil and a villain. He is cruel and still naive even if he's born all over again.

After his reborn, he makes the people who makes him suffer in his past life also suffer. The teenager who brokes his heart? Makes him a prostitute even if he still doesn't do anything and have a mother in the hospital and he us a scholar but he just lust after the MC in this life and haven't... more>> done anything wrong at all for him to deserve that.

And also a teenager again was also became a prostitute and also sold to someone (that someone is a good person but the teenager takes it for granted (still it can be justified on how young he is and how old that someone is)) He dies of something.

The MC is friend with someone who r*pes. He r*pes the first boy and push him into prostitution because his mother is sice and needed money.

ALL OF THE THINGS THE MC HAS DONE CAN'T BE JUSTIFIED. All of the people who he punished is a devil in their past life, but isn't he also is? He's naive and always being manipulated into taking his brothers life. But he's also someone who deserves to be punished but he still lives a good life in his second life.

This is the part that frustrated me the most. The story will already be good if only the MC didn't take revenge on someone that haven't done anything wrong in his current life. <<less
