This is a great hidden gem in the ocean of novels.

As the description says, the story starts out with the main character proposing to the guy who just got broken up with next to her. Then it shows how they slowly crawl their way into each other's hearts while still respecting each other.

It has important side characters and friends who pass the Bechdel test (in order words, they are named female characters who talk to each other about something other than men). The female lead tries to get her way... more>> to her dream job while supporting and being supported by her husband, who's trying to accomplish his dream.

They all go through family drama and life drama, but it's overall steady fluff and it's just so realistic and believable that it's more fluffy than the fluffiest of stories. You really don't end with a lot of questions.

I only have a tiny concern.

The transmigration part felt really unnecessary. It isn't mentioned again other than her having 'the soul of a 30 year old woman' up until the end. I partially understand the author wanted the main character to have a reason to be so desperate, but... That just left it open for a big plot hole, instead.

Then, about the last chapter:

The author stated to 'not take the last chapter seriously', and oh boy, all of a sudden the story turns a guy in need who's been mentioned once into an alien who's gone to Earth to explore human emotions. Haha, what? Although I laughed at it, it really threw me off because it didn't follow the story pace and it isn't something you can really fill in at the last extra chapter.

It's nothing serious, and it won't affect my impression of this wonderful story. Recommended for sure. <<less

Short sweet read with lots of fluff.

The title of the novel doesn't really do the actual novel any justice; I'd definitely recommend this novel!!

I made an account on this site just for this story. It's so beautiful.

Everyone's relationship goals. I don't mean the sudden on the spur marriage (I think she took advantage because she knows his future status). I mean the understanding and connection they have. Also the communication.

Other than that one minor issue about the MC, I love her character. She is a go-getter and knows what's up. So free-spirited and full of life but also aware of the past. She is affected by her past but not controlled by it.... more>> No excessive face-slapping. Happy happy married life.

Like I said, relationship goals. The writing is so good and the translation is superb! The side stories are also soo cute! I look forward to finishing this story and I will return to it over and over and of course suggest you all to have a good read! <<less

I really love this story because the FL not a passive female character and such a badass too. The ML, can I please have one like him? XD He's a flaw yet the author can present his flaw as his charming point

I love how the author resolve the conflict in a relationship, communicative and no dramatic denial and runaway scene.

One of the best josei novels I've read. This book is the epitome of a book about only the best and interesting parts of life. It's realistic character relationships in a world full of unlikely coincidence and situations make for an entertaining novel. None of that dogblood s*upid side characters. Everyone seems to have some intelligence. Even the "rival" can't be hated completely. Every character seems actually human. People are notj blindly villainous. Definitely a MUST READDDDDD.

I love this book. If it was available in English, I would buy it.

It is such a wonderful story filled with sweet moments and good friends and some slightly sour bites of reality to temper the story. It isn't a fast love story. They develop real feelings through real moments. It's feels... real. It's just a wonderful story.

This is a relationship full of fluff and dog food that I recommend. The translator also did a very good job of translating this whole novel. Understandable and easy read. I just love the nuance of each paragraph.

What I liked :

    • I always love a story with strong female lead and non-b*stard male lead. This time I got both.
    • FL (Yu Dong) : She is rational, fierce when needed (I love that she got a poisonous tongue to the evil character), has that deep emotional maturity and wisdom that can only be achieved after years of hardship, straightforward, confident know-what-I-want type, shy to the sweet tongue of male lead but doesn't avoid (unlike most FL who avoid our ML beast mode, like, you can flirt but he can't flirt wth?), basically she is the best transmigrator who doesn't necessarily want to have revenge to the people who hurts her

    • FL job. Seriously though, it's like she majored in psychology. It's so satisfying reading her job about being a radio DJ. She becomes a counselor to people and read a wise passage to her listener. One passage I relate the most :

      "I'm waiting for someone who can put a top to my loneliness. So that when I listen to sad love songs, it won't make me want to cry. If you meet such a person, please don't let them go! You've probably fallen for them already!"

    • ML (Xia Feng) : 1 word. Perfect hubby. Period. His sweetness will make you melt and drown in sea of fluff.
    • ML and FL relationship : no misunderstanding that drags for more than 1 chapter, no excessive drama or dog blood. LOTS OF DOG FOOD.
    • FL relationship with her friends : perfect

      How Ren Xinxin died in previous life and FL's reaction to it. Like "Oh, she died before, so this time I won't let her die by su*cide." Like, you forgot about her in your previous life eventhough you regard her as your bf? That's just sad.. It's kinda hard to see them as best friend before. If it's only an acquaintance becoming friends then it's easier to accept.

      Their marriage is too sudden and not justifiable. With Xia Feng's personality, it's hard to imagine he will marry people he didn't know, unless it's contract. It will be more justifiable if Xia Feng and Yu Dong met in the last life with Xia Feng as Yu Dong's shy admirer, and he also felt the same pull to Yu Dong in the current life.

All in all, it's still an enjoyable read. And I may come back to re-read that's why I give it 5 stars. Recommended if you are looking for fluffy relationship with minimal drama.

A very nice slice of life novel not much angst of rip your hearts a peaceful, fluffy enjoyable read all in all a wonderful romance with a bit of realism that I liked.

Its not like other Rebirth [ modern times] story.

All relations in many ways is so wonderfully fleshed out whether it is theirs family members or friends or enemies.

It a wonderful slice of life novel with a good dose of healthy - ol dog food.

I loved this story. Maybe because I could relate to the side characters and I liked how it dealt with issues like being single and raising a child, or being thought of as mentally ill. Something about this story is very special to me and I hope you will enjoy it too.

Another cute fluffy short novel. The story and plot are light, hilarious, and enjoyable. Lessons learnt from the novel is relatable. Everything is optimistic and leading to happy ending. Despite that, I still would recommend this!

I'm currently on chapter 30 and so far this story is great. Since this novel is completed I plan on binge reading the rest of it. What I really like about this novel is that it's not a face slapping novel where in the past/future Yu Dong (MC) was extremely wronged. It's more of a second chance for Yu Dong to live her adult life a little happier and freer. Another plus about this novel is MC's forwardness when it comes to the ML. It's always so amusing to read.

Such a sweet book. I really fell in love with Yu Dong and Xia Feng and all the tooth aches due to the fluffiness. No crazy revenge plots or mu*der or killing babies in the womb etc. Simple and pure. Only 61 chapters which makes it a cute read that you don't have to invest too much into.

Good short story, many fluffs, nice character, easy read, the translation is nice too!

If you want to read something that has no revenge plot then you may give this a try. Its short and you have nothing to lose! Go read this :)

I with there was more! Translation is well done. Translator was able to explain chinese slang which allowed the readers to enjoy and laugh at funny conversations. The story is very fluffy and has no mean female antagonist. I enjoyed reading the novel an finished it within a day. Thank you translator-sama for bringing such a beautiful story to us. *Bow*

A very warm, and cute love story...

The MC and ML are great, their interaction are sweet. :) The ex-gf is not a b*tch, more like a sensible person hoping to get back the person they spent so much time/effort on.

Side characters are nicely written - hoped for the besties of both MC and the ML getting together...

This story is awesome. As most of the reviewers have said, this is fluff, but the characters are quite realistic. I love that there are no useless catfights or third party. I love that the FL is rational, but gives in to her emotions. I love that the ML starts out cold, but never uncaring or cruel. Highly recommended.. It brought a smile to my face so many times. The translation is excellent and the translators notes at the end are an additional gem.

This story is wonderful. It's full of sugar, fluff, and everything nice! The story is really sweet, so sweet it made me cry a few times at the really emotional parts.

This is a great change of pace from the typical rebirth stories that are full of drama and face slapping. I would totally give this a 6/5 if I could.

Slice of life with lots of candy thrown in. Love wise it was a slow build but oh so sweet! To me this is more realistic look into how their r/ship develops.

The extras about their friends & work are just great. Laughters & tears - literally. LOL the girlfriends are just pure laughter!

The FL use her little knowledge of the future to help people instead of just making money out of it. Love how this rebirth gave her a chance to not just making different decisions, but also taking a... more>> different outlook in life & having a different outcome from what she expected.

This is a light but great reading. Definitely recommended if you need something positive. <<less
