In her previous life, Old Lady Li toiled her entire life for her family. She raised three children and brought up her grandchildren, never enjoying a single day of peace. Yet, her sacrifices were never acknowledged by her family.

After being pushed by her second daughter-in-law and breaking her leg, her children discarded her like a burden, sending her to a nursing home. With no visits from her children and irregular payments, she often went hungry and was beaten by caregivers. Bedsores infested with maggots were left untreated. Her life became worse than death, and she ultimately died miserably in the nursing home.

But upon opening her eyes again, she found herself back on the day of her second son’s wedding!

Seeing her family remain indifferent as she was humiliated by her second daughter-in-law’s brother, she went berserk and decisively left…

It's nothing special, an easily forgettable female MC reborn revenge novel. It has cool moments which keeps the reader engaged but eventually gets tiring and repetitive.

The MC was very misogynistic in her last life and could had easily been the evil mother-in-law that gets retribution in other stories.

She doesn't struggle too much and the villains are easily defeated so a nice novel to shut off your brain but not something I would wait for completion or to reread.

TBH, the MC deserved what happened to her in the past life. Favoring boys over girls, not having a spine, not having any self worth, worshiping her husband even when being ab*sed.. All these were done willingly by her. So, yeah, she's the least deserving of a do-over and since I can't root for her, I'm going to pass on this.

This novel managed to hold my attention for about 203 chapters so I don't think it was too bad. The MC is pretty bold and never becomes weak to serve the plot. She is very misogynistic in her first life so if you can't look past that I wouldn't read this.

MC doesn't use specific knowledge from her life to get ahead. She uses skills she learned in her first life to make a profit but she never does something like using past life trends to get ahead. I feel like... more>> her past life is kinda just background context instead of being a driving force in her actions.

If you like novels that have a clear end goal this novel isn't for you. The story just moves along from event to event. The MC has aspirations but there's no clear end goal.

The MC is also never really challenged. Things just work out for her. She asks the police for help frequently and the police are all good people so they take her side against the villains.

There's many people that go against the MC. They're all pretty forgettable? They're not bad villains, they're easy to hate. The MC just always wins and moves on to the next one. The villains are never a threat and the story never goes into too much detail on why they are they are.

I think the dialogue and MC's coolness is what kept me reading but I don't think I'd read this all over again. I might not come back to it. <<less
