Forgive me if the details are somewhat vague as I haven’t read this in over a year. I just felt the urge to leave a review since this was the first novel that pissed me off so bad. Also, it’s been living in my head rent free for the past few days out of nowhere so let’s give it a proper burial.

At first this seems pretty average and gives you the story most would expect, ie op FL, yes man ML and a pretty cliche plot. And it is, at... more>> least, up till the part I dropped this at. The story was fine, probably a 3/5 from me. Not original in the slightest but FL was tolerable and ML was so unremarkable that I don’t even remember a single thing about him.

What made me so mad at this novel were the characters and their mannerisms.

I recall always using the word arrogant countless times to describe the characters in this book when thinking about it, be it whilst reading or not. It’s because it’s absolutely true, imo. The beginning was okay since FL was powerless but, based on what I remember, since FL got rich and powerful so fast she quickly became an incredibly overbearing tyrant... imo. It’s almost like she got drunk on power - which I guess would work with her character - but it was so unbearable. Perhaps it’d get better..? Was what I foolishly hoped. But nope! It only got worse.

The part that just told me that this wasn’t worth it anymore was a certain running ‘gag’ maybe. I want to gag myself for calling it a gag because it was far from funny. Going to be somewhat specific since this is the part I remember the best - not great but good enough.

Not sure who exactly it was but somewhat certain it was FL’s relative, she had a run in with a random guy. It was so minor, not sure about specifics but I think she spilled coffee on him or something. Perhaps it was the other way around. Main takeaway: Super minor. Over the course of like 5-10 chapters it’s brought up so many times and the one who’s mad is the girl. Like jeez chill. I remember her wanting to like do terrible sh** to him and stuff and even though I love excessiveness, this was borderline unreasonable. This just made everyone look bad. What was the point of this?

(Just to add in my two cents, if someone accidentally spilled coffee on me and immediately apologized for it, sure I’d feel pissed and my day would probably be ruined and I’d curse that guy’s whole ancestry, I wouldn’t actually do anything cause it was an accident. It’s s*upid to be hung over something like that. Sorry for this, just felt like rambling cause when I saw that I knew this dumb story was about to get a lot dumber)

(I saw a comment about how misogynistic the author was too but I don’t remember enough to outright say it’s true or false, I definitely agree to some degree for whatever that’s worth though.)

TL;DR Small incident happens and girl is so petty about it + personal thoughts.

After seeing the worst in the side characters, I started seeing the worst in FL. And- well, how do you read a novel when you hate the protagonist when the novel hands them literally everything. The answer is you don’t.

TL;DR Decent time killer and awful moral conduct code guide. Characters aren’t likable, imo. This was more personal than anything so if you read this I hope you got a kick out of it even if it wasn’t very helpful. If you plan to read this novel, I’d say give it a whirl and test the waters yourself. Reviews will only help you so much, and honestly, if you’re spending the time to read the reviews just go read the gosh darn book.

Finally, I don’t think I’ll ever be picking this back up. <<less

I was kinda enjoying this until I got to chapter 132. What the hell is this s*upid author thinking. Let me give you a direct quote, “

Chu Peihan shouted at Qin Zheng, “Qin Zheng, do you f*cking want to be beaten too? If Gu Ning had been a weak girl, she would have been ruined already. After that, she could have committed su*cide too. If so, Gu Xiaoxiao would be the killer!”

Qin Zheng was stunned. Indeed, if something bad had ever happened to Gu Ning, Gu Xiaoxiao would have been... more>> the killer. She could have ended up in jail too.

If Gu Ning had been the same weak girl that she had been before, she would have committed su*cide.” Like what the f*ck. This story is basically saying if you get r*ped the only logical option is to kill yourself??? Has this author experienced any hardships? Like I dont even have to explain why this is problem right?? <<less

Honestly, the novel isn't written very well, and what's barely saving it is the plot regarding the power given by the jade which allows her to face slap individuals while building up her business. It is somewhat repetitive though. Also, the story is not very consistent such as in the first few chapters where MC wakes up in another person's body and without any practice or exercise she can suddenly beat up people. While later on the author tried to show that she was exercising because the body was weak... more>> and training her friends, it was already somewhat late introduction of a solution.

Basically the story revolves around MC setting up her business through the help of the jade eyes. From there on, she's able to enter into different sectors for her business. Along the way she finds a ML who is respectful to her, dotes on her and supports her. On that note, I actually like this ML, because so far he's not affecting her independence. You won't find a passionate romance focused story here. ML is just a sidekick who won't affect her life, but is a support character. My only problem is that it's taking her forever to take revenge on her old life. It's like after her rebirth, she had nothing to do with her former life anymore. Idk, I guess that part didn't satisfy me. She's still focused on her current life. <<less

At first I really loved the story. I liked the romance, the MC, her goals and what not, but as it progresses it’s getting dumber and further from the beginning storyline.

With the whole zombie thing, plus her dad and the double amnesia, the whole lot of r*pe, and her weird caring but uncaring attitude (she saves strangers only if they bring benefits but doesn’t care about other strangers at all saying it has nothing to do with her) The FL doesn’t really make any meaningful connections, only a bunch of superficial ones and the ML it’s just an extra tool for her without any actual personality, just an amazing background

? Overall so far it’s still alright since she is still working towards her goal without too mich deviation but from what was said in other reviews I’m not hopeful of the future ? Basically why I still give it a 3

I really like stories where the main character builds a business, a country, a hidden organization, whatever! I just find it really satisfying when they recruit new talents, make important decisions, and handle crises that come their way.

So it's kind of misleading to say that the FL is a businesswoman when she barely does *checks notes* business. Most of her "working" is her using supernatural powers to cheat at jade gambling or dice or some other game, make a ridiculous amount of money doing it, and then dumping that money... more>> into her companies. That doesn't mean she's good at making business deals or reading the stock market or, you know, things that actually take skill. If she lost those supernatural powers one day, she'd be absolutely ruined as each of her companies fell into debt.

The "in school" part of the title is misleading too, but I didn't mind the change to wuxia too much. It does just serve to make the FL and ML even more OP, and it brings the story even further away from what the title and summary promised, but at least it was interesting.

So you've got a story with a title that means nothing, a FL who solely relies on a cheat, and a plot that answers everything with face slapping. In the end, I don't regret reading this, but it definitely wasn't the story I'd expected going in. <<less

So as not to influence me from not reading a novel. I don't usually go to the comments section or reviews. I REALLY ABSOLUTELY REGRETTED IT.

I would literally give a zero stars if I could.

Similar to most reviews, the author's has a problem with her/his or doesn't even have a MORAL COMPASS. I hopes that the MC would realize what she's done was wrong in more ways than one but no, she kept repeating and repeating the same thing over and over again.

Those kinds of morality might have an excuse... more>> for an ancient time settings where people are a bit narrow minded during those times which also does not excuse anything.

I really tried to read more but the lack of morality for a modern days novel/ even if it's only a novel. There should still be a bottom-line for those things. I won't go into mush detail but just read the other reviews and you'll get the problem every time.

The ML is almost one dimensional. Only exist to support that MC on whatever she does, even though sometimes it's not right. <<less

I was really fascinated with the concept and the story when I started reading it. The initial few chapters were really good, but later on things became repetitive, and more importantly there were certain things that the protag did which I could not condone. The characters all seemed like 2D characters with one emotion defining them. They didn't seem fleshed out well.

I kept reading not because I particularly felt entertained by the novel itself but because I was performing a character study on the author.

What I've deduced is that the author is that regardless of their physical age, he or she has the mind of a middle or high school student. He or she has also probably never been in a relationship and is deeply misogynistic, a little ironic given that the main character is supposed to be an independent and perversely successful woman.

Lessons the author teaches us:

1) women absolutely need... more>> a man in their life to be happy. It doesn't matter how successful they are in their career or if they already have many people that care about them. They need to get married to a good man or they will be lonely and not truly happy.

2) it's unbecoming for a man to argue with a woman. A good man would humor the woman and let them get away with it, even if they are being unreasonable.

3) it's natural for a manly men have s*xual urges but it's s**tty if a woman wants to have s*x too often. It's natural for a woman to give way to a man in bed. If they are in a loving relationship, the woman should cater to the man even if she feeling exhausted and not 100% comfortable.

This gem made me cringe so hard my face cramped.

"Nevertheless, Gu Ming also understood that a man stopped loving you if he didn't have any s*xual desire for you. Although it sounds embarrassing, Gu Ning had to admit sometimes she wanted s*x too."

My condolences to the many elderly couples trapped in loveless marriages.

4) some women just deserve to be r*ped. In fact, r*pe is the worst thing that can happen to a woman and if it does happen she is ruined forever.

Jeez, I swear to god, this author has one of the most twisted worldviews I've seen in all the webnovels I've read. <<less

A huge problem I have is multiple people hire people top r*pe her and she literally just lets it go. BUT one of the people is drugged and r*ped repeatedly as is her friend who never did anything to harm her.

Not only does the MC state they deserve this, she is completely comfortable with living next to a pair of rapists.

She is also fine with her aunt being r*ped because her aunt was mean to her and her mom.

someone else who annoys her is r*ped by her brother.

honestly im pretty sure Warm Color Su is a rapist or a r*pe fetishest

Came to criticize the unsatisfactory turn of events and destruction of a good starting plot line but I saw other reviews that already expressed my thoughts so decided to give it a little support. It's not that bad but don't expect too much. Even if the starting might be not that bad but things get worse, not like a terrible rollercoaster ride of ups and down but never ending slow rotations of merry go round. If you’re looking for FL being her own boss, earning lots of money this is your pick. The Ml, Leng Shaoting is by far my most favourite ML in modern setting CN novels. For plot, it’s fine until it went overboard in the later chapters with too much stuff haphazardly thrown in that I didn’t had time to understand it better. If maybe there were no cultivation added or maybe added with some meaning behind it, it would’ve better but if not for that otherwise it’s great.

I give this 3 stars well start off with how it was written interestingly at the start and made me bored by 1k+ chap. But I did finished the story and I'm gonna say that there's an interesting addition by later chapters. But there's a lot of face slapping and repeated events which made me bit annoyed and see the next chapters as boorish.

this book... *makes inconvenienced noise*

so I have this theory on novels longer than a thousand chapters, and it goes a little something like this: a. they (the author) have too many ideas, so they just smash it all into one novel while achieving Mary-Sue-status, b. it's badly planned out/the author doesn't want it to end cause, ya know, clout and, c. short chapters but lots of them.

and honest to god, I don't know whether this novel applies to one of them, but it is so exhausting to know that this... more>> book goes on for another thousand or so chapters. the one-thousand-and-fifty translated chapters already tire me out. but, as a warning, only read this book if you have a sh*t ton of free time. but besides that, everything was fine. it was good. and then we hit chapter 900 and I'm just like, "where am I, whose novel is this, wtf, " because I apparently forgot about our beloved 'supernatural' tag. to be fair, I thought that was there because of her 'Jade Eyes' but no! there's more!

the romance was cute at the beginning, but now it's just the same. we get the in-laws, the out-laws, the third-wheels, the crazy fangirls that carry half the plotline, your everyday sorta thing. the OG family revenge hasn't even begun, which is annoying, but this novel is a massive hit-or-miss, and yes, the novel does miss. there are a lot of other critiques I could add, which I probably will when I finish the novel. bye-bye then!

So... this HAD potential. But as the story progresses, I noticed how EASY everything is for the FL. Literally everything falls into her lap. From coming across the most powerful influencers to obtaining power through business opportunities. All this happens within a year.

It's unbelievable and it's dull. The only reason I continued to reach the last few chapters was because the side characters were more interesting.

I mean, the novel is a good read if you feel like something light. But don't expect anything huge

The starting was good but it went downhill pretty quick. Generic Female protagonist novel. Though a bit better than other ones where random r*pe, s*x, and shameless things are everywhere. The most funny thing that annoyed me is: the FL is not dense and very clear about how few others feel about her, I mean romantically. But despite that, she never considers how ML will feel or doesn't even bother to clear up with other people as she assumes she would need their help. Fine. But the again there were... more>> times where she introduces ML as friend! Not BF. And it was infront of that chap I forgot who started to develop feelings for her real quick and was heartbroken real quick too. Sometimes the OP FL totally acts like a bit*h which raises unnecessary flags here and there. <<less

this is a great novel and leads are very powerful. Romance is decent. If you are expecting detailed or steamy scenes then this is not for you.

the male lead is sweet and very understanding. He is a virg*n and has only female lead in his eyes unlike other contemporary novels where male leads are either play boys or have multiple women in their lives where FL is pure and chaste. This is different and both leads deserve each other.

face slapping is decent and female lead is a bad ass.

Warning: there are a lot of things in this novel that would offend people because they are morally deplorable that the FL does not condemn and are accepted as realities of this world.

This is a face slapping, OP catharsis novel. If that's what you're looking for then this novel is worth a read.

Like most, the plot gets repetitive if you keep reading into the 1000s. That doesn't make this not worth the initial read, but that's something you should expect going into it.

This is tr*sh. If you plan to read this for a good plot and character development? Don't even bother. You won't probably find it even if you read further than 300. The face slapping is amusing, yes, but that has been repeated for almost four times now and I'm not even at ch100 mark yet.

But if you want to go waste your time or just read it for sh*t and giggles, go ahead.

The first few 60 chaps are fun I admit. MC is too OP. She has gone arrogant like... more>> she doesn't even know the word consequences. Illogical, tho this is a novel, common sense don't usual apply to that, but still.

There is also that topic which are a "bit" concerning to me.

Like how the Gu Ning's female enemies easily resorts to taking revenge on her in a means of beating and r@pe. This already happened twice guys.

Okay let's say it just to show how bad those bad and meany girls are, but does r@pe help the plot? And why r@pe of all things?

A female character thinking that r@pe deserves a fellow female, uhm in my opinion thats more inline with what a male would think in judging what/how will make a female feel degraded/shamed. Females are far more creative than that honey, and they won't actually wish someone to be r@ped.

And damn, she became rich too fast. And MC is like that middle schooler who pick fights and if she wins you need to become her allies/followers. And please, what the heck is with that old military guy? Is he the ML? Or is he the MC's father, cause his description fits the bill of Gu Muran's descrip of MC's father. Although yes he's also OP and handsome, all I could think is that he's too generic borderline creepy. He's like a walking statue, no personality at all. <<less

Plot and dialog are very repetitive. The entire novel needs about 80% fewer exclamation marks and 'great!'s and 'I love it!'s

The main character is a little too OP out of nowhere, like 'eyes' + 'storage space' fine, but then suddenly 'magic medicine' and 'premonitions'. All the characters, including ML, are so dumb that they don't notice anything strange about random magic pills which can 'cure any illness', being able to tell the future, or 98% accuracy in stone gambling, which makes it. With that kind of bar, you can only... more>> imagine how much more s*upid the villains are... <<less
