After he was reborn in a sci-fi ABO world, Xi Wei became the newly born son of the king of the empire. He thought that as the king’s son he could live a grand, carefree life, but unexpectedly the he, the eldest prince, was actually an omega? What the hell was an omega?

There was an alpha who was born on the same day as the eldest prince Xi Wei, and the two children grew up together. When Xi Wei looked at the blond child next door, he always felt that the boy wasn’t pleasing to the eye, so Xi Wei bullied him as a child.

Until many years later…

Looking at the man standing in front of him who was a head taller than him, Xi Wei was dumbfounded.

—He tried to escape, but he eventually still fell into the clutches of his childhood sweetheart.

I was going through my tabs and found this one opened and I was bored so I started reading it. The start was fun, but as I read on, there seemed to be something lacking.

ML regretted that he didn't confess in teh last life, but still continuing on to the same path of slowling boiling the frog and laying gentle traps all for what to make MC realize that he also likes him back.

MC despite being a prince, an omega (which he hated being) and taking on the responsibility of... more>> the Underground Alliance at the end kind of ignored the whole organization and it really seemed like that when all was written that he was rejuvenating the entertainment industry and all. It felt weird.

I feel conflicted about Aiden. He was sick and frail and then he got better. Things seem great and then there's the silly puppy Carlo crushing on him for life; Aiden accepts him after a rejection or two and initiates intimacy since he's all bold like his own omega father but then the last chapter from Carlo's POV made his character quite conflicting. Like if he's bold and forthcoming about his feelings and emotions then where does Carlo's doubts come from.

The translation was great and immaculate. I wholeheartedly congratulate the translator for picking up and improving his translating speed which they wanted.❤️ <<less

I agree, you have to be in a certain mood to enjoy this novel😂

I think I've picked this up before but dropped it. It has an interesting synopsis but it's more than that. Political, omega rights, military and so on. The author created an elaborate knowledge of the ABO system in a sci-fi world.

It is a slowburn. Really slowburn because things started picking up between the main couple after 700 pages out of 1000 but the main couple has chemistry so it's worth it.

Klair has to be the most patient,... more>> determined, understanding and calculative character I've seen in a while. XW is a strong omega that's ambitious and doesn't want to submit to the system. I liked the characters but I may have liked Klair more. Although, XW had more screen time as the main character.

It has alot of cons too.

The side couple were sweet. Randy and Craig situation was funny. Aiden and Carol were cute too.
Spoiler

Not sure if what Aiden feel is love or comfort but it's not negative, so...

[collapse]

I kinda like ABO being ABO. Omega doesn't have to be weak or overly submissive but I like omegas being omegas in novels. I don't support omega discrimination and not against omegas being independent. But I kinda feel a opposition from the author and through XW towards omegas who naturally just want to be one. Even though the author made Aiden and XW who are contrast in their ideas to be friends, it still feels like XW doesn't understand omegas not wanting to be like him and are comfortable with their 'role.' Omegas comfortable wanting to perform their duties in such ways are perfectly fine too. Not every omega has to be strong headed or unique, they can be soft and simple like Aiden. I liked Aiden.

Also, through the author's method of making the Omegas strong, independent and all that (with some things which I deem extreme), the author also made the Alphas seem powerless. It is contradictory because Alphas seem to fear their omegas, as the Omegas are the one in control and then the Alphas treat their omegas delicately, wants to protect them and please them all (which leads to then giving all decision process to their omegas, letting them decide everything so as not to offend them) still because they're 'omegas'🤷

Omegas can have their rights which shouldn't make the Alphas powerless too. Tbh, in as much as I liked the couples, it is as if the Alphas in this book liked their omegas more. They were all patient and understanding without getting that much in return. Yes, the Omegas also liked them but I didn't feel it was shown and expressed enough and I don't think it's love. It was as if the Omegas 'settled.'

I have to admit, I skipped some mechanical, war and organization stuffs there too. This novel was hooking. I finished it in just one day and some hours. It's long but has interesting development and events which keeps one going. But it's not for everyone. Also, if not for Klair, I may not have finished it because I wanted to see the main couple progress.

Excellent translation too. <<less

The description is kind of misleading. It says that the MC always bullied the ML during childhood, but in actual fact he simply did stuff like patting ML's head and ignoring him. While MC did punch ML in the face, it was when they were babies and it was only mentioned a few times.

Spoiler

Once MC realises ML was his past life's friend, there was basically no bullying at all.

You may expect fluff or romance based on the description but in fact it really isn't much. Read other novels if u are looking for those. Instead, the novel contains action and mecha elements. Sure, there are romance between side characters but that's not what I'm looking for.

On the mention of side characters, they get a hella lot of airtime. So much so that they could be the MC instead. Sometimes they seem even more fleshed out than the MC. I think the author spent too much time on the side characters, though their stories were quite interesting.

I suspect the romance part may come into play later on, when they are grown up, but currently all I'm seeing is action. <<less

Headstrong MC and devoted ML in a sci-fi war-driven ABO world. MC is a royal omega prince and ML is a son of a General. Kinda cute that ML loved MC since his past life, but otherwise nothing overly special plot wise. The ABO world is kinda cool mashup of mecha, scifi and ABO I guess. Interesting to read but not overly romantic if that's what you're looking for.

I loved it! One of the best ABO stories out there. The word is a little rough but the main point is the relationships between the characters. It’s so sweet and a enjoyable read.

It completely cured my readers block! I absolutely adored every minute!. It’s not for everyone tho, so negative reviews are valid but if you like ABO and are not too critical of world building or strict with science fiction, you’ll like it.

WOW! This is my first official Omegaverse and MPREG full-novel that I have read here in NU <3 To say, it was a great start to begin with to choose this novel huhuhuhuu

I got to say.... the drama and the push and pull love relationships between the main and the side characters really intrigued me. They almost killed me to death with these little but strong emotions. I also noticed...

Spoiler

There were 3 main couples that occupied this story and had time each on chapters. The MC (XW) and ML (Klaire) of course, Carlo and Aiden, and Craig and Randy (Aiden's father).

[collapse]

To tell the truth, the story between MC and ML is very sweet but it did not intrigued me way TOO TOO TOO much compared to the other side couples. Carlo and Aiden's relationship was expected of course, but I really loved to see the sweet and subtle changes in their relationships since childhood. In Craig's and Randy's relationship, this is the couple story I felt too much emotion and pain on my side. Idk....I think I just pitied Craig waaay too much and the character development between the 2 of them really leapt new heights. The unspeakable emotions between the 2 side couples were more abundant than the main couple... is what I honestly thought. I almost forgot that the story had a main couple LMAO

Spoiler

Why?? because I noticed that Klaire may be a bit uncertain of their future because of XW's rejection towards him, but later on XW also discovered his feelings waaaaay too soon? for Klaire. Idk, its just that he suddenly (?) realized after ML was gone (?) and he began to accept him even though reluctantly still. I could understand. Anyways, I still love MC and ML, especially Klaire's perseverance and XW's strong and willful personality even though an omega himself.

Definitely recommended!!! <<less

I've finished this novel and it's quite good, it's not as complex as some others but you can still empathize with the characters and it's entertaining.

This was sweet but boring.

This mainly just covers the daily life of the MC and ML and how the ML tries to pursue the MC. The romance is real slow.

Spoiler

It was kinda weird how the whole novel the MC didnt show any obvious signs if loving the ML, but then when the ML goes missing after their fake engagement, he suddenly realizes that he has lived the ML all along.

[collapse]

Well, overall this is pretty good if you're looking for a quick read to take a break from all those plot filled novels. There are some surprising plot twists in this novel and the fluff is so sweet. <<less

It was a good read and I like the concept a lot.

The biggest minus to me was probably that the author seems to have forgotten about certain things they wrote, such as clues they gave about certain events, or mentioned something and then completely didn't make any use of it.

Spoiler

Such as Xi Wei's (mc's) sister joining him at school. She was supposed to attend the school two years (i think?) after he started which means that they would attend the school for 2 years together. Xi Wei misses his family, and asks to meet them often in the book, but the sisters arrival at school was completely forgotten and not mentioned at all as if it didn't happen. I found it a little bit disappointing. Although it's a very small detail, since she already said herself that she would attend the school, and the book actually put some focus onto it, I thought it would be mentioned at least briefly...

[collapse]

The same goes for the big clue that was given to Xi Wei (mc) regarding the collusion of his enemy with the Federation (or whatever the other nation is called), that he somehow forgot (???) He himself confirmed that he remembered the conversation, but somehow conveniently forgot the most important piece of information??? And then was in the dark about the whole situation until someone directly told him to his face what was going on...?

Xi Wei is supposed to be inteligent (even if his EQ is low, his IQ isn't...), so why????????

Those are probably the things that bothered me the most, and the reason why I can't bring myself to give 5 stars even though I really want to. The other things I can all swallow even if they are not necessarily up to my taste, that's the author's story, and as a reader I won't criticize the development. I'm just here to enjoy the parts that I like. But this inconsistency looks more like a mistake rather than a deliberate thing, so I'll just give 4 stars and be satisfied with the rest. <<less

It’s the cliche type of rebirth/abo/bl novel premise with a somewhat dense protagonist and love struck love interest. The characters are somewhat ‘clever’ for a novel for sure. I would say that I did enjoy how the MC didn’t immediately fall to his omega gene in the beginning with the discrimination thing and his interaction with his omega uncle. Nonetheless when faced with so much novels like this it is somewhat boring.
