This book is basically four short stories centered on the dark side of human nature. I went into this expecting some ghost horror stories. It is horror alright. As for a ghost? That's debatable. Nonetheless, all four have their own charm.

The Shroud Tailor

This is the one I think I enjoyed the most. The eerie but confusing traits of the characters left me on the edge of my seat. Especially, the temple setting was truly hair rising.

... more>> Getting Married

This story maybe the one with the most plotholes, though it didn't bother me as much. The twist at the end was absolutely mindblowing.

The Assassin

At first, I was so confused about Jin San and the circumstances that surrounded him. It felt like a choppily recorded movie. All of it got rounded up nicely at the end, however.

A Silver Ingot

While, the other three may only highlight the dark side of human nature. This one has a different approach. Human greed is there but there's also the sisterly love and fatherly love protecting the people you love. <<less
