Su Qin crosses into a world where martial artists run rampant, where Buddhist monks from the Yuan Dynasty dominate the world. Nine Yang’s successor’s fist conquered the mountains and rivers, and Xiao Li’s Flying Knife smashed through the void.

Because Su Qin had no martial arts qualifications, he could only become a sweeping monk in the Shaolin Temple. At this time, the ‘Sign-In System’ was activated.

Sign-in in front of Buddha’s Golden Body, gets [Tathagata’s Divine Palm].

Sign-in in front of the Arhat Hall, gets [Indestructible Vajra Divine Art].

Sign in at the back mountain of Shaolin Temple, gets [Demon and Buddha Golden Body].

The Shaolin Temple was riddled with treasures, and you can sign in everywhere.

Su Qin decided that he would never leave the mountain without signing in to everything in the Shaolin Temple. And so, he signed-in in the Shaolin Temple for twenty whole years!

Twenty years later, the Shaolin Temple got mixed in the battle between the Righteous and Evil.

The Demons were fierce and powerful, they blatantly invaded the Shaolin Temple and were pushing forth with great force, but that is until they met Su Qin who was sweeping the floor…

It's just so generic I guess. You can pretty much predict what he is going to do and he lacks personality. He constantly avoids doing anything and you can tell the author puts less and less thought into the things he acquires as the novel progresses. It's good to wait a little time on but there is nothing great about it

It was nice, less stress MC.

I'm tired of reading of other novels like this that more on stealing, killing, and harem. And Im sick of MC that always stick with other people problems acting like a hero every time then after that a melodramatic betrayals, totally eww 🤢🤢.

So I find this novel interesting and more on common sense to MC that he's minding to his priorities only. The golden finger is reasonable too, rewards are based of what type of Dao and and long is it.

Too bad that it was... more>> dropped. It would be nice of the author continue writing it. <<less

This novel exists in a kind of limbo between the god awful and good. The biggest problem honestly is that there's nothing to praise about it. Story's too tension free for a martial arts novel and the cheat just sort of makes it pointless for the main character to take more risks. The fights are really bad because you know the Mc's not gonna lose anything, anytime. It's kind of frustrating to think about it but it's not bad for a mindless read.

I will give a warning to potential readers: this novel was dropped by the autor and it is not worth your time.

It follows the same troupe:

-MC gets a skill/resources over and over again

-a villain/antagonist without any depth shows up to fight the MC

-People watching constantly say the MC has no chance of winning

-MC beats the antagonist on 1-2 moves

-People are surprised how he was able to win

For the rest of the novel the MC just sits still and cultivates without any goal in mind besides getting stronger.

Disappointing. This is tagged as a slice of life and I was expecting some heartwarming moments or something a bit about life but noooo there's nothing of such. The MC is cold, ice cold cold, when he helps others it means its also helping himself. There's no life in MC. No adventure at all. And the villains, I don't know what to say, the author just put villains here with no background or any intellect. Their purpose is for the MC to just strike them in one shot. Like that... more>> time when 2 powerhouse went to compete in the imperial palace, like wth. And then tried to kill those who wants to watch them duel. Take note, they wanted to duel in the imperial palace and even try to kill the emperor watching. I don't see the logic here..... <<less

Mis-clicked the star rating. Should be 2 stars. Anyways, Let me start with that I enjoyed it, but my taste is tr*sh lol.

The writing itself is passable. Well-translated which is always nice to see. Pretty predictable pacing; villain of the day with one or two big payoffs. Outside of MC's sister and her family, every other character in the work exists to worship MC. Nothing super exciting, hence the rating.

Elephant in the room is that it's a power fantasy isekai, though the isekai portion has no bearing on... more>> the plot. And everybody always rates power fantasies on how much they can self-insert into the protagonist's actions. So, MC gets one super-power everyday for free, and likes to hide his abilities on the off-chance that a world-dominating powerhouse doesn't appear out of nowhere and challenge his OP-ness. It's laid-back, low drama, pure power fantasy with no romance or tension in sight. It's not gonna turn many heads, but if that sounds like your kind of story, then give it a shot. If you like tension or dynamic plots, this may not be for you. <<less

would be 4 Stars if it wasn't so focused on Buddha

EDIT SPOILERS

Spoiler

so the MC moves out of the Temple and regrows hair and no longer looks like a Monk, which was my big turn off, no offence to Monks

Now he is learning other techniques that aren't Buddha this and Buddha that, I mean, with the title of this novel it will probably always be focused on that but this is as good as its gonna get

[collapse]

Although there is something I gotta comment about, its amazing, The MC Doesn't Move Away Immediately After Getting A Certain Among Of Strength

as in

Standard Novel Starter Village Highest Level Is *5* MC can beat them at Level *4* does so and then moves somewhere where there are level *10* and usually proceeds to get absolutely sh*t on so Author can do a Young Master Revenge Arc

But This Author has done something Amazing, The MC is the level *10* as in the second strongest is only level *6-7* and doesn't leave immediately and stays around

a big downside is the Authors need to mention how powerful the MC is every 3 sentences or say "Unfortunately he met MC" or "It would be difficult for others but he is the MC!" <<less

I liked this novel a lot, but I have to admit it's not for everybody. It's very slow and the MC doesn't get much of any interpersonal development. MC plays the long game and hardly gets involved in conflict unless it comes to him. Even then, things will end without an issue every time since the MC is just that OP. There's not much tension and it's all about the MC secluding himself for years and passively getting stronger. Even so, I'd recommend it for a casual read. Don't bother... more>> if you want an action and drama-filled novel with high tension and sense of consequence. I'd give a [3.5] if I could, but 4 is fine. <<less

Reading upto the current chapter (at this current time of writing), it is really good. There is no repeat of each plot, sometimes a certain even can be predictable but mainly it's subtle so the reader will not know till the moment arrives in the plot.

There is an almost similar cultivation system, except the way one reaches it is different. There is also a lot of good 'face slapping' moments, the MC is ruthless and doesn't care about anyone except those who feels he needs to show some gratitude to... more>> i.e. The Buddhist Sect.

Pretty chill the MC is and the pace isn't rushed even though the MC get's OP rather quickly.

Recommend reading!! <<less

It's pretty good for mindless entertainment.

Cons first, I guess. Choppy writing style, inconsistent quality in editing; not adhering to the common writing conventions in terms of style, making it unfamiliar to read for an experienced reader. The characters are cardboard cut-outs at best, with the other side being empty. Even the main character has no personality really.

Power is accrued out of God-knows-where, and the system of cultivation is truly bare-bones. The main character faces his increasing lifespan and might with such indifference and apathy that I couldn't wonder if he... more>> was simply too mentally handicapped to recognize change itself. And then, as if my some God-gifted enlightenment, he at some point, undefined in the story, develops the genius to comprehend any and all techniques and teach them as such, better than the masters of all lands. There were even some plot points that were simply forgotten by the author. Anyway, the worst con is the writing style in my opinion.

Pros. Pretty entertaining to read. Conflict is pretty fun. Action somewhat fun. Wish-fulfillment: present. Main character a blank slate, therefore pretty bad-ass. No romance to soil the story. No attempts at pretentious philosophizing nor plagiarism from any ancient classics. Pretty interesting character dynamics, even if wholly devoid of depth. And it's mostly fun to see a cultivation story without any stakes, and with a main character way too overpowered and alien for the world.

It's fun if you don't focus too much. There isn't too much action either, but it entertained me. Pretty good. <<less

You basically just read this for the non cultivation stuff. Skim over any of the sign in rewards and bullsh*t like that, they come and go at whim and will of the author. Also, every other chapter he says his signature phrase “Not bad”. Gets really annoying for me.

It's a system novel, so the MC is kind of lazy. All they need to do is get spoon fed by the system, which is fine. The only issue I have is that, the realm advancement of the main character is too fast, it's at least 80% faster according to the story, and that's me downplaying it by a large margin, you'll understand once you read the story. Anyway, it would only make sense if the system also drills "comprehension" into the MC's head, but the story only indicates that... more>> only the intricacies of the techniques are automatically instilled.

Moving on, the realm advancement in this story, seems to be progressing from Martial Artists -> Immortal Cultivator, or at least that's what the story says. The first 9 realms is basically for a martial artist since it uses Internal Strength (essence/qi), but then you move pass those 9 realms, you have True Essence. This is the second time I've seen body cultivation working alongside immortal cultivation, which wasn't a big deal since strong body means you can accommodate stronger power. The problem with this novel however, is that internal essence (qi/strength) and true essence (qi) don't really like each other in established Wuxia culture, those who practice body cultivation still uses spiritual essence if they are practicing Immortal Cultivation (Monks have a different system I believe but this novel don't follow that) since it doesn't conflict with true essence as well as immortal essence later on. Still, that doesn't make the story bad, why does it matter if the author mix and matches their power structure? It'll work just fine as long as the power system stays consistent, and this is a Xuanhuan story so it makes even more sense.

Now, my takeaway on this story, is that, the MC's main cultivation comes from a Monastic Faction. While it's alright that their realm advances, I don't see the Virtue or the Karma system in the workings despite the story involving Buddhism. This is a big deal because, accumulating virtue relates to how Buddhist Monks advance their realms, hence why they kill demons, preach the buddhist scripture, converts evildoer to buddhism as much as possible instead of killing them to avoid unnecessary Karma, as well as save people. This story doesn't have that and it makes the story weird as it just makes the Monks, just another kind of cultivators with the same principles as others. <<less

It was good at the beginning if only it got a bit repetitive and cliche but then it turned into just another cultivation story where the MC constantly needs to rush to cultivate as fast as possible before the big baddies come to get him... even if the battles are no that close they are too close for comfort especially for a story that was selling itself as an OP MC story...

Author failed to grasp how to keep the story interesting without a life and death battle or some other... more>> cliche developments. It's all about the world and the people in OP stories, not the battles or the risk...

I personally prefered when he could leasurely wonder the temple without a care in the world and nobody noticing than when he is constantly being bothered...

Overall not bad especially in the world building department just not good at the keeping the reader engaged without major threats dependant. <<less

its the first story I found that features the concept of a daily sign-in system, and honestly, it does it quite well, and there is a matching payoff to the constant waiting with baffled and confused reactions that are absolutely wonderful to read.

the MC knows he has something good here and makes the most of it, even exploring the intricacies of the system to try to get more rewards.

dont expect too much though, its still a "cultivation system" novel at its core and eventually the story runs out of impressive... more>> techniques to give out MC and just sort of meanders on forever

4/5, reading again for the third time to kill some brain cells. <<less

This novel is chill slice of life with nothing really exciting happening, but weirdly that's the appeal of it. You are not gonna binge read it or think it's an amazing story, but it is a story you can read when you just finished a another novel and are still digesting it or taking a break form a another more Intense story but still in a mood to read something or even Waiting for your favourite novel.

The point is this novel is like a pit stop form your other novels.... more>> You will probably drop it in a few chapters and pick it back when you have nothing to read. <<less

A fun read. The MC logs in and gets stronger. Simple as that. I am not a fan of the hot-headed "I have to save the world" style protagonists, so I really enjoy the "stay at home, only care for my interests" progression.

The novel wastes some potential by progressing too fast, not describing the world (and the changes the MC brings) enough and also not connecting to previous plots ... more>>

I am hooked on this book. I usually doesn't like this type of book much. Repeated plot, but this one is somewhat different.

The MC is very modest. He hide away from the Spotlight while achieving great levels with his cheat and saving the world on the side. Like one of those really smart student who doesn't admit they are smart until you see their score on their test. He is such character, just with martial arts instead.

I somewhat feels like a proud mom reading this. I cannot wait to see... more>> what else he can achieve! <<less

It is basically a SoL cultivation novel.

And I love it.

There is no conflict, mostly powering up and enjoying life through indifferent eyes. The worldbuilding is slow and it moves independently from the MC.

There is some mediocre writing at some points (Ex in the spoiler) but it honestly doesn't take away too much from the enjoyment. It's a very relaxed pacing which I enjoyed reading in large instalments (like 60 chapters in a row whenever you feel like it).

This guy from a Evil Sect was like "Just get me close to the king I can assassinate him in a way you couldn't comprehend". He gets to the throne room and just sprints at the King and is immediately stopped. It was such a s*upid plan I guess I really couldn't comprehend it.

Of all the sign-in type move that have recently become abundant. This one would rank as number 3 of the 5 or 6 I’ve read.

The majority of these novel has an MC become extremely powerful, but they become more and more unfeeling and detached from the rest of the world I really hated seeing that happen.

This one the MC actually interacts with the other character enough that he doesn’t seem completely unfeeling.

The novel is also 10x better than the other Buddhist sign novel.
