Olivia threw another fastball straight at Edmund.
“What’s on the agenda today?”
Once again, he casually ignored her.
“Aren’t we fated to be together, Your Majesty?”
On the day of Olivia’s umpteenth declaration of destiny, Edmund finally lost his temper.
“I thought I told you there’s no way I’d ever be interested in you!”
“Please, just stop already! I’m not even the slightest bit interested in a girl like you.”
Even after countless cold rejections, Olivia would always smile. But when he saw tears welling up in her ever-cheerful eyes, he thought.
‘Was I too harsh? Maybe I should give her some of that chocolate she likes tomorrow.’
But that tomorrow never came.
“I’m going on a date — with Sir Gallahad!”
Just like that, she suddenly started chasing after another man.
“Ha! She said we were fated.”
It should have been a good thing, but Edmund couldn’t help feeling twisted up inside.
