Rating is for the entertainment value. I enjoyed this story a lot, though towards the end it became super cliche.

It's confusing who is the MC/ML due to changing POV but after a while my guess is that the giant bear Xiong Ye is ML and the transmigrated Zhou Ji is MC. It doesn't matter. However, what I found more confusing was who is top/bottom. . It was quite unexpected that it was the opposite what I thought LOL! And maybe as a result of that I wasn't so invested in the relationship. This novel is like those slice of life, from poor to rich, farming stories but the setting is prehistoric fantasy world where there are even 2 moons. There are dinosaurs and beastmen. These beastmen are humans who can transform into animals. They hunt dinosaurs for food.

MC is a transmigrator from the apocalypse time who is very powerful thanks to his plant abilities and he knows a cultivation technique how to absorb energy from surroundings. Beastmen abilities are split into ordinary, low/medium/high beastman warrior and Beast King level. And there is another higher level. MC is OP from start but pretends to be weak.

ML is a super hard working and loyal person, the strongest young warrior in their tribe, but still very weak compared to the great power houses in the vast word.

In many ways did this novel also give me the feeling of a typical interstellar story in which a super OP MC transmigrates into his new life and astonishes everyone with his cool super abilities and life changing improvements. Even the ending is quite the same. One achievement after another, a very long list. And that is also my main complaint in the end. Everyone (all powerhouses) submits to the OP MC and he is seen as a God. It was a bit exaggerated and reduced these side characters into cannon fodder passerby's.

I think 2 earlier novels (The only favorite ugly husband and A guide to raising your natural enemy) from the same author are more well written. The (side) characters are more fleshed out and had somewhat better plot.

This is such a cute and enjoyable story. I am very glad I got to read this. The story is well written, the characters funny and relatable and the translation is so good.

My favourite part about this story is its cast. Our two lovebirds (named Little bear and Flower power) are the cutest couple. I like how the author depicted their relationship. Their feelings slowly growing and developing as they get to know each other and understand each other.

The antagonist isnt really that outstanding but I feel that was planned.... more>> Shi Li (Shitty Lion) is also a enjoyable character.

Shi Li is the one of the three who develops the least in the story. This can be seen as a fault having become a rebirthed soul. Shi Li returns to when he was young but now having developed his charcter and his needs in the old life. His choices are damaging mostly to himself because he thinks he knows what will happen but he doesnt take into consideration how his actions just caused it all to change.

Dropped this somewhere in the middle and skipped to the final chapter and a few of the extras. Good decision since it turned out to be kind of boring and bland. I liked the setup with a plant-loving, transmigrated MC and a sweet stoneage warrior ML. Nevertheless I really enjoyed reading abt the lives of our MC and ML. I compared this with Banished from Another World but while the latter was better at world building, I liked it better because the ML was not scummy.

Anyway some may find the novel boring but I read this for the comfort so it suited my taste. <<less

Ngl, I loved this so much but still almost dropped it when I was around Chapter 30 ish... the front few chapters are quite monotonous but it picks up and it gets so interesting. If you're looking for action, this isn't it. I'd say this is more of a slice of life. Later on, there's fighting and action, but it's quite quick. Which I like tbh. This novel is just really really satisfying to read. The main couple get together and stay together without much complications, their relationship is cute and harmonious.

First of all the MC is a gong, which is rare. Also this novel kinda has a role reversal, since the shou is the hardworker and breadwinner (atleast in the early chapters) and the gong, our MC mostly just likes to laze around (but he is very useful and powerful). So for a long time I actually thought our MC was the shou. Anyways, this book doesn't put much emphasis on the gong/shou dynamics which is a plus point.

The evolution of MC from being seen a 'fool' and the most useless of the tribe to basically becoming really OP was so satisfying. Also I loved that he cooks delicious foods for his husband and sometimes other people. The only drawback of this novel was probably that the food descriptions make me hungry.

I liked the MC of this novel. He had a very positive attitude after coming to this brand new primitive world.

I wasn't sure at first reading the summary because I'm not very into cheating stuff, and I couldn't really get into the first few chapters of just. Name dump and not really knowing anything that's going on. But after I left it for a while and came back to read it - I got hooked after around 20-30 chapters in? Then the story gradually tells about MC (Zhou Ji) here and how he silently pay his saviour the favour he owed. The saviour of MC by some chance is ML. ML always feels that MC is the weakest because he doesn't have animal form and because of that, he always help MC again and again.

Its basically about the MC and ML getting together and their life. It was enjoyable reading how they got together and cultivate feelings for one another but I got bored of it when they other tribes were introduced and they began defeating those tribes. Oh man this was such a good read. I have read a lot of bl novels and dropped them pretty early on if the characters were unlikeable or the plot wasn’t interesting, however this was really good. I mean I was reading "The wife is first" and someone said this book is better than that and I'll find the Shou is like the "best Shou preference ever" but um I'm almost at the last and where?????? It was an ok read, the main issue I had with it is the fact that it's is so one dimensional. I know the story is about finding love but there are all these interesting side characters that just get treated like tr*sh by the MC and ML. I wish they were explored a bit more. The MC also wasn't that enjoyable as a character, I get that he is lazy (I am too) but he basically doesn't care for anyone besides for the ML, which is something I hate... more>> in BL characters. I get that you're in love, but other people do in fact exist outside of your little bubble. It's to the point that the MC doesn't feel like a person but instead an ideal. Too much filler chapter. If only this novel could focus more on the plot, I think I will find completing this novel enjoyable. Even so, the MC and ML is cute. I love how their relationship growing and it's interesting have ML who is strong but so adorable. My beloved brown bear deserves all the hug he could get.

Rating: 5/5- Absolute masterpiece that I would re-read.

I became so invested in this novel and from the start, I fell in love with both the MC and ML. It was such a pure relationship, however what got me hooked was the side characters. Every single one of them was so unique and adorable.

The plot was very simple to follow and I liked reading a Cretaceous period novel. The descriptions were wonderful and the life of the cavemen sometimes made me envious of the simple life. The descriptions of food made... more>> a vegan like me, hungry. Who knew dinosaur meat would be my thing LOL!

I felt the setting was a combination of the honeymoon extra from Face of a Devil & the dinosaur arc in Surprise! The Talent Show Was Actually-?! I was reluctant to read this because even though I’m a fool for historical romance, I’m not too thrilled reading about the good ol’ fashioned gathering-&-hunting society. Not to mention they shape-shift into animals as well. The story was cute albeit mediocre. Truth be told, the plot isn’t anything grand. I've only just started reading this novel, but it's soooooooo good. The characters are interesting, the setting is well developed, and I didn't think I'd be interested in a stone age story at all, but I was wrong.
