It was quite interesting... one of the reasons for that being that reading this kinda made me anxious like seldom anything does XD BD*M has its appeal, it's just, in this case it really... uh weirded me out how their dom sub ish dynamic wasn't confined to bedroom matters. With YeLang's (ML) chauvinistic ways and all, having to be in control of and stronger than his partner. Is that common? Guess I'll look into this later ?

I didn't expect some of the controlling/encroaching/superior-inferior/dominant-submissive aspects to also be present "irl", so that definitely took me by surprise and made me apprehensive of how far that'd go. I guess I'm not accepting enough of that yet... as long as the people involved like it, it's probably fine no matter how they treat each other. It's just that I couldn't ascertain whether that really was the case for LingYang (MC). It seemed like he doesn't appreciate it when YeLang acts overbearingly in normal life situations. So while I was quite into their s*xual play stuff, their interactions otherwise seemed a bit questionable to me. Putting it extremely, I'd approve of and probably appreciate reading about the interactions of a couple that's into 24/7 master-s*ave play including all areas of life; if that's how they want it. That all encompassing appreciation doesn't seem to be present for LingYang though with the way YeLang acts sometimes. So yeah... omfg I'm not sure whether this finding faults habit of mine is good or bad xD. On the other hand, it was nice how they came to care for each other and complete each other. Also, I've never read boot fetish stuff before, so that was a new experience ? there also were some really beautiful moments~ like when YeLang thanked LingYang in his mind for all the things he did to reach this point in his life where they could be together. This just... well, it just seems I don't like the ML much. His personality... uh. There were fair warnings by the author and translator that this wouldn't be a common type relationship, that they wouldn't be equal. And that's certainly what it felt like to me. Don't get me wrong, the ML really comes to love and care for the MC. However, loving and caring for someone doesn't mean you see them as your equal and respect their thoughts, feelings and wishes. It irked me quite a bit cause I really value respect in a relationship. This may be kinda offensive but it reminded me of how you can love your dog more than anything and still not respect it.

ML goes to voice chat and hears MC's voice loudly and clearly, but only because a while later when MC's account is handled by Little Buckle and MC is with ML, which makes ML think that Bell and MC are two different people, that part really lacked foundation. There were also few mild mistakes here and there, but who doesn't have those.

The BD*M stuff in the novel is shown lightly through the beggining and slightly heavier towards the end. MC little Anteloupe has a fetish for boots, to the point of being worshpful - this does not really mean he's a true submissive (at the beggining of their s3xual) relationship or that he likes bondage per see... But as the ML comes to know about the "circle" MC is part of, he discovers his capslocked D self and MC trully sinks into the psychological relief of letting go of all control.

The MC himself "forces" a BJ on ML to "calm him down" lol.

The commentary going on through the forums at the beggining of each chapter is the cherry on top lol. A lot of MC's actions are derived from the answers he gets from there... Like "how to bend a straight man" the answer MC obviously focused on was the "do him a BJ until he gets addicted to it and bends" - thus he chose that method to "repent" and "confess" his feelings..

ML is not a cad though. He is just simple minded and goes through a quiet revolution. He accepts MC's quirks and help him get over his complex, emotional past. ML is also realistic enough to know he has fallen for a man irl, breaking up with his "wife" in game when he thought thats what MC wanted (even though MC was secretly said wife in game). He panders a lot to MC whims, even learning more about BD*M, finding out he likes being a Dom and having MC as a sub.

in the later chapters there was this inner monologue of the ML thanking MC for surviving until he found him ah that really broke me!! just a silent "thank you" while hugging our MC

This is my first time reading a Chinese BL novel that revolves around dom-sub relationship so I'm quite surprised and pleased with the turn of events.

Both the MC and ML fit each other just right, and even with their dom-sub relationship and the dominant aura of the ML (after he became a full-fledged dom), they still banter and hit each other playfully (unlike in other dom-sub I read where the sub is always a shy type even outside the play).

Like tiger telling his whole life with MC using a loud speaker in the game. Him letting his gf spread rumours and her girlfriend getting away without any punishment. In short, Tiger's character has a weird kind of thinking. It feels like he was just added to have a "love rival".
