As the number one pill alchemist of the immortal world, Mu Chen had always believed that it was because he had single-mindedly focused on concocting pills that led to him to neglect disciplining his disciple. Which in turn, caused his disciple to be led astray by the seduction of devil cultivation, leading to the three realms to fall to disaster.

After his rebirth, Mu Chen resolved to properly teach his disciple, give him the very best resources, earnestly love him, carry him close to his heart, teach him by way of example, and didn’t let him grow corrupt.

Sure enough, his disciple became more and more “intimate”. Every day his disciple even crawled into his bed, rubbing against his chest and clinging to his thigh. It was just that his expression isn’t exactly quite right……

This is good and you can honestly binge read this in a day (although I didn't because I dropped this halfway through because LIFE before I picked it up again recently). It's a good story with decent world build-up, dynamics of the characters and progression of the plot. Also you'll find yourself laughing sometimes even if the characters are in such dire situations because Mu Chen's and Gu Yunjue's quip are so witty HAHAHA

If you're looking for adventurous, full of actions, and complex relationships and world-building story, this is not for you.

This is a pure romance story. Plain and simple. The focus is not about the world & political of the world and its people, but about the romance of a tsundere MC and a devoted puppy dog ML. Don't expect anything deep outside of it. Yes, we got some interesting background, backstories, characters and world, but they all still... can't even say secondary, they're just elements and obstacles... to... more>> the romance. There are lots of interesting things the author brought up, but never pursuit further which is a bit of a shame because it have potential to be a rich world and great complex story.

I enjoy it for the romance, comedy element and how devoted the ML is to the MC. Some people may find tsuntsun character tiring after awhile because they drags (which they do feels like the same cycle after awhile, and tsundere characters aren't exactly my favorite), but the tsuntsun MC and devoted ML entertains me enough that I wasn't bore. (maybe just a tiny bit towards the end because I also feel the end was rushed, though the romance journey has concluded.)

It's a good read. The story is cute. The MC and ML balanced each others. The story could've concluded in less chapters, but it is what it is. <<less

For me the MC personality is not my preference.I really hate people who r indecisive. He is very unclear in his actions towards ML. He refused the ML but also flirt wit him, using excuses tat his actions were just and tat it was just how he treated his disciple (roll eyes). He got so posessive and jealous and still think it's just normal feeling. And he keeps venting his anger to the ML (kicking, punching).I mean wats wrong wit him. U said u don't like him but u get jealous and let him hug and kiss u. But when u r angry u tk it out on him. For me the MC seems really spoiled.

This story is pretty fluffy in the first half or 2/3, then the tone changes to something a bit more serious. The MC and ML don't face too many challenges. Anything new that comes up gets dealt with easily. In terms of story, it's not the worst and not the best.

Most of the story is about redeeming the ML and preventing him from turning out "bad" and then continuing to cure MC from his poison. Nothing gets explored too in detail and it's mostly about the interactions between the characters. The bit about the reincarnation pearl and the Mu family seemed rushed and not too well planned out. Not sure if it was cause of the original story or due to missing details from the transaction...

The translation... there's multiple translators and some were more accurate than others. The majority of the translated chapters had errors in them which might make it confusing/hard to understand sometimes. I do thank them for spending the time to do it so that we can read the story though. <<less

I think it's better to remove the tag r*pe becomes lover. It sounds like MC was r*ped so he fell in love, but it wasn't. MC already liked ML and both are already possessive to each other even before that chapter 74 when ML took action instead of giving him an antidote. Even after that chapter, MC wasn't as mad to punish ML and he always think ML belongs to him ever since. I wished the author wrote that MC do love ML properly explicitly/verbally, but the MC only showed it by saying like he's naturally mine (which is still good, but saying it is better).

The translation was okay but there were wrong terms (ejaculated was used for the term said), mispellings, and saying the character name as just the family name instead of full name. But still thanks to the translator for giving us some good time to read. It didn't affect why I gave a 4 though.

I gave a 4 because of the plot development. It's like there was no problems at all and everything so easily solved. There are also details that was lost and was not explained properly. Some parts are confusing.

Maybe some will also say that ML is a rapist and a s*xual harasser. But the MC never pushes him away as to kill him, and just let the ML hug or kisses without terrible punishment. The ML is wooing MC since he was a kid. MCs main concern even in his last life and after rebirth is only MC, so he always let ML have his way with him and MC is easily coaxed to forgive. Maybe in that chapter 74, it is do wrong to force MC for a life and death contract, but MC just let it go after, since he never wants ML to be lost from his sight cause ML is his and his only inner demon.

The novel is pretty funny and both characters are very devoted to each other. I just wish that some details were explained, not make some things too complicated, and at least have better heart pumping plot development, but things are easily resolved.

I recommend this novel to read if you want a light read and enjoy the funny character interactions. No blood pumping plot development, just more of how they live life for each other.

What a freeze-frame ending hahaha...

Tbh didn't feel much chemistry between Mu Chen and Gu Yunjue - MC was apparently the GYJ's 'last life's salvation and this life's obsession', but how did that come about?

Their interactions are not that interesting. It's mostly just GYJ sneaking a kiss or something, followed by MC punching him, blushing, and calling him evil.

Adorable!!! Floof!!! I wished there'd be more, like extras on the side CPs and a bit more explanation on the MC gong and shou's life :'')

Translation quality aside, I'd give this story 4 stars because, yes it began very very fun and captivating, comedic and mysterious, but the end felt very rushed and there were several things that I'd like to be elaborated further. It wasn't a satisfactory end imo, but it is sweet and heart-warming, so I'll give it that.

On the matter of translation... I'd say so-so? There... more>> may be some things that were lost in translation, I certainly would love to read more of the author's mini-theatres though, but I can't read not understand Chinese so I'll have to be satisfied with this :'')

Conclusion: I'd recommend this story to be read in it's raw version since it probably has details that are lost in translation, but you'll get the gist of the story anyway if you read the translated version~ <<less

A pretty good read to pass the time. The only issues I had with this were the romantic development between MC and ML and the way the ML is written in general, both of which are probably just personal preference.

I also wasn't really a fan of the whole kidnapping Chen Mo thing just so he can't interfere with the progression of their relationship, and how it was written off by the MC and forgiven because MC assumes Chen Mo is happy gallivanting around in the Demonic realm with his kidnapper. What also didn't vibe with me was how they eventually got together: the r*pe and marriage death contract thing the next morning kind of wack though! And the MC just goes along with it! Sir, you have rights!!


I think the root of my unhappiness with ML is his course of action in seducing (?) MC - I wanted to see more slow and subtle manipulation and a change in the MC's heart romantically, not just the MC needing the ML nearby out of dependence and isolation from all other meaningful human interaction. If you're gonna go Stockholm syndrome, why not go all the way and make it like, legit gaslighting?

I'm not complaining about the yandere, I'm complaining about the execution. I was just expecting more violence and less whining from the ML. His cute and harmless act was entertaining for the first half, but then you quickly realize this is the depth of their interactions throughout the entire novel. And the way MC is written just seems so romantically shallow - sure, he gets incredibly jealous when ML talks to anyone else, but that comes off as more tsundere/childish immaturity than envy borne from any romantic passion. I just wasn't FEELING IT LOL

Despite all of this nitpicking, I did persist with this novel for like 6 hours straight and enjoyed it for the most part.

A hilarious read with quite some amusing drama to enjoy. I just cannot get enough of the ML's cute and amusing interaction. Mu Chen is adorable as his disciple always claims. The setting that 'only I can decide how to treat and disciple my disciple while others are not allowed to lay a finger on my disciple' is kind of addictive.

This is not a normal kid raising type. Both of them experiencing rebirth. The story is a mixtute of light and dramtic element plots. If you need a light plotted story, try this one! It won’t make you bored at all!
