On the day of the apocalypse, the trajectory of history driven into two different paths, completely altered the two universes.

One is a heaven, and one is a hell.

One is an era of peace while the red flag fluttered.

Gu Ning tried to survive in the apocalyptic world, trying all her best to protect her family and loved ones. Yet, she dies brutally on the streets after being betrayed.

I have no idea why the rating is so low. It’s a zombie apocalypse novel where the MC has access to a parallel world with no apocalypse. MC is super strong, cold heart hearted/ruthless, but also not a mu*der hobo. It only has 14 chapters as of now so I can’t say anything too much but it’s pretty good. Nothing super special but if you want a survival novel with a female MC that’s strong, ruthless and has access to the normal world then read it. (Endless supplies and whatever)... more>>

One thing tho, the grammar of the translation is not the *best* but still perfectly readable.

Overall I don’t see anything wrong with this novel and it’s already hard finding survival novels with strong female MCs. Def give it a go. Short-mid length chapters but satisfying nonetheless. <<less

First of all, love a strong female MC to infinity and back. She isn't strong from the start and she seeks to make herself stronger which I appreciate. She also isn't a virg*n Mary. There is nothing wrong with being kind but stringing along a person that hates you and will do anything to get you into trouble especially during an apocalypse is just s*upid in my opinion. Thankfully MC doesn't do anything like that. There weren't any annoying villains that fell in love with the ML and tries to kill the MC either for that matter.

Ok maybe the ex best friend and the ex boyfriend but they have such a small part in the novel it almost doesn't matter

There was less melodrama and more fighting against all sorts of zombies and other enemy bases instead. I really appreciate this. In other apocalypse novels with FMCs, they always have some two dimensional female characters who strives to cling onto strong man and get jealous at the MC easily. Like please, it's the end of the world. Why is there so much drama happening when everyone is trying to survive? This is what I appreciate the most in this novel. Other than our MC there are other women who is just as brilliant like the doctor and the other squad member. I really like that.

Not really sold on the ML but he is alright I guess.

The ending was way too abrupt but hopefully everything works out well for MC and her base. <<less

Pros: fun apocalyptic story, camaraderie, face slapping, cool moments. Strong female lead.

Cons: MC too OP, Author skips some details regarding powers or iz just mtl and I dont get it

Well not really 5 stars but given it was a fun ride... Others said it better but just my take on things:

- It's not romance for sure. It's a survival novel of our MC. The romance was abrupt and would have not made sense if it wasn't for our strange ML who is probably has schizoid personality disorder and the MC is a rare fix. He's also smart and seems to perceive that she's traumatized and seems to be working on it.

- Kudos for strong MC from start to finish.... more>> Also our MC is made human by her weak mentality in face of human ugliness. Meaning she's clearly traumatized by the apocalyptic environment and the betrayal of her trust by family and friends. But she slowly gets better. Therefore it seems at times that her personality is not stable. In my opinion, that only makes her human otherwise she would be only a killing machine.

- plot holes galore. But the action was fun so I'll be lenient. Plus the monsters were varied and interesting and the descriptions too detailed at times ehem. Fun if you read it at night as I did. Lol, do try it.

- The ending is really a rush job but can't say it let me unsatisfied. It did the job of showing the aftermath without the author having to put brain cells into tying loose ends and patching plot holes. My imagination worked overtime to fill in the blanks lol but the most important thing is they made it. Hurray!

all in all if you like action, a bit horror and a dash of barely there romance with strong MC FL that slowly builds a strong support system with likable side characters and goes to bring light in apocalyptic times etc etc. Do give it a try. Just a warning, it's not a 'soft' novel, but a rather gory one and humans are nasty. MC needs to be nasty too at times.

Great. This is a novel I will definitely re read and remember in the future. Not yet fully translated so I MTL'ed the rest. It was understandable 8/10.

Kinda felt a bit pity for the ex boyfriend and for the other side characters that died but it's the apocalypse. I wish it could have been longer though, I wanted more romance <3

Binged it and then MTL the rest. It was really good, actually. I liked the story a lot; I just wish there were more details in the epilogue wrapping the story up because things ended with some questions unanswered. But overall it was worth the read and I would recommend this to others.
