1. MC (Shu Yu) : Basically a silly white sweet (i.e. Dumb, kind pretty girl). Some people are annoyed that she's so needlessly anxious, weak, and dependent; some people think it's good to give the MC flaws and room to grow. For me, the author goes too far. It doesn't make sense for her to be afraid of a character that she almost accidentally kills with her aura on their first meeting, especially not to the extent that she starts crying for no reason when he's just talking to her.... more>> She's so harmless and naive and obsequious toward the ML, she often feels more like a child than a college student. She's so simple-minded that she spends more time drooling over meat than thinking about whether she can truly trust the black-bellied ML. She never expresses concern for any family or friends from her past life, nor does she even once wonder if she died in her original world or if she can get back. I guess she had nothing she cared about back there? In short, a very shallowly written character.

2. ML (Fu Wang) : we are constantly told he is a yandere. Maybe that happens in later chapters, but as of chapter 17, there is no trace of yandere behavior. He schemes, seduces, and kills in order to survive, but that's typical within the setting of the demon world. So far he's just a normal, conscientious, doting lover navigating a cruel world. I'm really failing to see how the FL is "curing" him, or what she's supposed to "cure" him of.

3. The romance - has no tension. The FL basically likes the ML from the start, but she holds back because she's aware he's not sincere to her. By ch17, he's already sincerely in love with her. I guess she's the only nice person he's ever met, so he falls in love very easily. Meh.

4. Plot - there isn't any, at least not yet. The FL and ML are basically just chilling out alone together to avoid suspicion.

5. The translation - is high quality except for its addiction to run-on sentences. 5 sentences will be combined into one using commas, which gives the whole story a repetitive, breathless quality. Still, the TLs did a very good job overall. It's a shame it was dropped before completion.

Side note - the author has a shota fetish. The ML occasionally transforms into a 12 year old body; the FL seems to express s*xual attraction to this 12 year old body; the ML actively tries to seduce her with his 12 year old body. It's strongly implied from the ML's attitude that pe*ophilia is commonplace in the demon world. Some of the author's descriptions made me uncomfortable: I do not need to hear about how luscious a 12 year old body's lips are. IDK if there's actual shotacon content later on, but just be aware.

What I read so far was a 2-3/5. There's nothing really wrong with the story. It's very tepid & conventional. I just can't be bothered to keep reading it since I'm not excited about anything that might happen in the rest of the story. <<less

Characters

- I will prolly give 4. Seeing how it's only translates up to 17 chapters the female lead is still scaredy and s*upid but there's gonna be a character development later on. The flow of the male lord's adventure to being OP is also f*cking good. I suggest to mtl it it's not that hard to understand tbh instead of waiting for the translation since it's not even halfway to the main shit. <<less

We have a very relatable MC here. In terms of "adaptation", she portrays the most realistic one so far. You can clearly see without the ML pointing out how terribly sheltered she has been compared to the norm cruelty of her new world.

You'll love their romance, it made me giggle like a fool. I just wished I stopped reading before that tragedy...

I really enjoy the pace of this novel. The ML at first was very suspicious of MC but after getting to know her more, he fell for her. Can't wait for more update of this one

I liked the story. The way the author wrote the personality of the main leads are very realistic and they really compliment each other so I enjoyed the romance very much. The FL is weak, clumsy, and coward at the start but that's understandable considering she came from a peaceful world, loving family, and has phobia? With horror movies. Since she arrived at the ml's world she had no choice but to watch the cruelty of original owner (e. G. Smashing heads and brain with bare hands) cause she has... more>> access with her memory. Also, she's afraid to die at the ml's hands when she clearly just wants to go home. In addition, I'm actually glad, the author did not tone down the ml's personality for being yandere and psychopath. Instead, the relationship developed with compromise and mutual understanding that they had racial differences and upbringing. The plot can sometimes be all over the place but it's a fun read if you have perseverance for every arc. <<less

Cute story. Not the best writing, not like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, but a nice story. Its what I would call book candy. If your bored and want something light to read, this is the one.

I honestly really love this so far. I think the story is really cute and light! I only wish it updated a bit more frequently, but you can’t rush hard work!
