She was the godly thief of the 24th century, yet she was reincarnated as a good-for-nothing idiot with no parents. Not only that, she had to bend her will according to her relatives’ mood. Idiot? Tr*sh? Very well, sooner or later, she will show these group of silly earthlings what it means to be too late for regrets!

Battle-qi? Magic? Her talent in both magic and martial arts will mortify every genius in existence. The position of the clan chief? The mythological Vermilion Bird? Want them? So sorry~ She already took them!

But who will tell her, that the cute boy who gets carsick easily was really the mythological Vermilion Bird? Then, what about the elder that’s residing in her body, just which deity does that mysterious soul belong to? Furthermore……

Why was it that other people’s companions were those kinds of domineering, and incomparably mighty type? Why was it the ones around her were either an evil merchant or a sly fox, a useless nerd or a playboy, the worst is this sick pretty boy! What happened to rule the world, and standing above all else? Please don’t joke with me!

Even though it is 2700+ chapters long then also you will have satisfaction ones you complete the novel. You will never feel bored with this novel. FL is really strong, cunning, and knows how to fight and doesn't depend on others for help. She will definitely stand for her near ones.

This is the first “kiss” and I stop

MC has a lot of plot amor and the ultimate plot amor is ml

the story is amazing and the romance is good, and contain a bit of adult sense with a 14 year old female body.

There not a good balance as Warlock class is too over the chart And powerful.

Not a good balance in power -

Warlock can control people body and mind and become a puppet who act normal. Put buff and curse, summoning creatures. Too many power focus on one profession.

This novel, at most, is a 4/5., I see most people rate it 5/5 it is certainly not that great, its more like 3.8 or so, and I rounded up. The MC is meh in my opinion. That plot is meh in my opinion. Every villain/rival introduced so far is tr*sh. The side characters are great though. There is a little romantic tension, there is a little bit of mystery, there are comedic misunderstanding, and those are very enjoyable. There is some reverse harem, but the genre isn't comedy even... more>> though the plot and antagonists so far seem to be a joke.

My opinion is that the MC is not that smart but is somehow able to outwit everyone else, and that is the main failing of the novel. It peaked when she is doing the entry test of the school, because that was funny, then when she met the 'animals' because that was funny, and both those times she wasn't suddenly amazing for no reason, but since then it seems her defining character trait is that she is talented and good at everything. If she didn't have such thick plot armour she would be ruined by now.

If this was a comedy it would be great, with her plot armour protecting her every time and the hilarious misunderstandings. For a novel that takes itself seriously the villains are too 1-dimensional, rivals are the same, and the MC is so conceited even though she is only alive and strong due to her Female Lead plot armour. <<less

MCs usually have something special about them.

But sometimes, their special something becomes too much, and their heavily defying luck becomes to ekstreme.

The novel has much interesting things going on, but some encounters becomes to predictable it becomes fustrating.

Is it really that hard to give other characters something great, without the MC accidentaly getting it first, or topping it with somthing better?

I was bored so I continued to read way past the point of not really caring anymore.

It's one more of these Chinese "take over a tr*sh's body while being completely OP without efforts", with slightly altered repetitions all over the place, fairly short chapters and an insistence on looking down on the main character even after she showed multiple times that she is more skilled than the people trying to put her down. Most of it obviously happens in front of a crowd so that a few chapters can be... more>> wasted with the crowd looking down on the MC, then being puzzled for a while, before being shocked at how talented she is.

Of course, the background is filled with nasty people all over the place so that when something is solved it then becomes someone else trying to mess with her.

It even establishes multiple identities for our main character, to the point where anyone with half a brain and a single working eye could notice all of the details that point towards all of them being a single person. When one goes missing for a period of time for whatever reason, all of the others also vanish, they all act and react in the same way as well and have barely any difference outside of the name and face (in a world where face changing potions and masks can be bought easily, so it should be even easier to notice).

Because it goes all over the place just to show that the main character is a heaven-defying genius in everything, barely any character growth has been shown on the main character or the "main supporting cast".

At least the translation is good enough, but it has been one of the least interesting ones of this whole genre I have read (I usually find them very similar but mostly entertaining when bored, this one managed to bore me instead).

There are obviously people that enjoy the read, so it's probably just not for me instead of being bad, but after 458 chapters we barely got to enjoy appearances of the supporting OP characters and the main character has nearly always been on the "challenged to a contest" side without getting to properly show off her skills, so I am letting this one go to the side. <<less

Edit at the end

The story is interesting but there are still some flaws (or loopholes in the story), even then the story is worth reading, you can see that the author wasn't as experienced though (compared to GDBBM), like when ... more>>
Spoiler

little Feng met MC's family "for the first time", he met them twice for the first time

[collapse]
, even then the story is great and most of the flaws end up being irrelevant at the end, it just needs some subtle corrections but it's nothing that might make you drop it, unless it stressed you too much for all the problems getting piled up, I read this after running out of GDBBM and although yeah, the writer is talented, you can see the difference of how her skills improved, this story is a bit more messy and some parts are a bit predictable, but it's still alright. The humor is great, the characters are adorable, etc.

EDIT: never mind, I dropped this LN 3 times, if you ignore the slight mistake this novel is actually pretty great, I just can't handle climaxes but I've cone back to say that this has now become one of my favorite LN and the love is fluffy, I love it.

I previously had some doubts concerning this novel. I'm a huge fan of Black Bellied : Genius Doctor (LORD JUEE <3) Ahem.

And so I thought that it wouldn't be as good.... Unexpectedly, it turned out to be far better than BLGD in my opinion. The romance is slow, yet concise and extremely sweet. The arcs are far from boring, and are rather exciting. The plot keeps on moving forward and at each corner, the author manages to surprise me.

I've become completely addicted to this novel. I TRULY HOPE QIDIA WILL... more>> F*CK OFF AND LET THIS NOVEL BE. (Pretty pissed about BBGD being moved to webnovel)

So I highly recommend this novel, it's truly worth the read. The plot is interesting, the characters are alive, funny, cute and the story never gets boring. However, despite all the other comments, the ML is actually more obvious than what I expected. <<less

Now, I'm convinced that North Night is my favorite Chinese author. Her/him stories always make me hook up till days, I don't even care with my sleep time. Forget about sleep, reading North Night's stories are a must!!

The comedy, romance, adventure etc are quite good. Some schemes or idea differ from each chapter (except, among author's book). The building of emotion, character development, any kind of romance or relationship, funny expression, solid characters are found in any book of North Night. NN's writing is smooth too, it's really well-written.

The downside... more>> is sometimes, it has too much monologue, exposition. I know it helps a lot to build reader's imagination. It's just that.. Imagine it has 2000+ chapters and you need to read it to know the core of the story. My eyes hurts!!! I cant help but skip them.

I don't mind with the fillers as long as it's linear with the core and will helps us to understand things in the next chapter which I rarely find in NN's, this book included.

Spoiler

oh well, I forgot those filler chapters about the 4 animals and their grandpa urging them to catch SYX as their future wife. Yes, these chapters are unnecesary. The comedy is kind of okayish, and I somehow skipped them halfway.

[collapse]

Another thing is sometimes I think NN is a bit sexist despite all NN's protagonist are female.
Spoiler

There's a chapter that blatantly stereotyped that woman is wicked or vile, a character that hates women, a lot of male important side character than female (you can count with fingers how many female important side character in every NN's books), weak female demon (why can't female demon has the same power with male demon? It's demon!! Not human!!), gender bender character as if a female countenance is unacceptable for some sort of situation. I'll not surprised if NN decided to make gay book someday (honest!!! I'll be sad if that happened cause it's rare for me to search good author writing female protagonist).

[collapse]

Don't put some degree seriousness on my comment regarding this issue, I just feel icky, unpleasant. If I'm quite serious, I'd have dropped any NN's books long ago. <<less

This novel starts slow but picks up the pace after they leave the school. It improves steadily. That ending though.....I feel like my feels were lied to.

I recommend you stick with it for at least 800/900 chapters, all the seemingly useless things will build up to something.

This book is written by the same author as Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss and it's predecessor, and I like this one more out of the two. The MC for this book is also cold but not as dense and emotionless (at least in the beginning) as Jun Wu Xie from GBM. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with JWX but I just like the MC for this book—Shen Yanxiao—more.

There are similarities between the two stories, but they aren't the same and not just because of the plot and... more>> world. The two MCs might be a little similar in personality but the way they handle things is different. Where Jun Wu Xie would kill her enemies and be done with it, Shen Yanxiao would hit them where they are weakest, take away their strengths, and ensure they could never get back up again.

The plot for this book might be slow in the beginning and hard to get through for some readers, but once she gets the Vermillion bird (no spoiler there since it's in the story description) and enters the academy, the story gets super exciting and interesting from there.

Shen Yanxiao is cold, but also a little mischievous, and I like her companions because each of them is good at their own thing and have a little more charm in them.

The Male Lead isn't obvious right away, but he is still there. At first, because his role isn't large, some readers might be unhappy with him being the Male Lead, but he will get better once he has a more active role in the story. Even his smallest actions and guestures will speak volume.

The only thing I can say I don't like is that sometimes the author drags the word count and chapters are short. The translators and editors are trying though, and they manage to release two chapters a day. <<less

I think this was one of the only stories where I was okay with the fact that I am 600+ chapters in and there has been no real romantic development. That doesn't mean that she isn't surrounded by eye-candies though.

Quick as a whip FL with hilarious beast companion sidekick. A future ML with a godly presence. An adorable killing machine brother. A mysterious elder cousin. 4 "animals" as best friends. The line-up is pretty killer and the plot uses them all quite well.

The only thing that sometimes itched me was... more>> the conspicuous lack of screentime for the ML but I made do with his perfectly timed cameos. Also a certain fox kept me happy enough.

Spoiler

As far as I know, romance kind of starts from 800-something chapter so

I really like this story as the MC is not that bad and doesn't have any annoying qualities and also the group around her is really funny. Its a bit like Genius doctor black bellied miss in the way they interact with each other. I think she is a slightly better lead that the one in GDBBM as she has a higher EQ and in more obvious in holding whats important to her close. I'm not really sure if there is a male lead yer as there is not much... more>> romance but theres 2 possible ones I have in mind both of them are like foxes lol.

Basically in the end I think if you like GDBBM then you would like this. Or if you like a female lead who is strong but also develops her abilities then you should read this. <<less

I recommend binge-reading after each arc is completed. There's so much filler in it that 20 chapters can be re-edited into 1 chapter without losing anything. It's frustrating how the author reiterates without elucidating on the current predicament/theme/idea.

Translation team is doing an awesome job though. If they were slow in translating chapters, I would have already forgotten this novel and dropped it a long time ago. I'm glad that they took over.

Unfortunately, I'm not quite a fan of the story. Although it is well written, the mc's personality and voice, as well as the constant harassing from others got to be slightly annoying after the first twenty chapters. I wasn't really interested in constantly waiting for updates, and reading the chapters held no excitement or any other feeling for me.

Would wait for more chapters to be translated as it really really really short and nothing much happens even up to the current chapter (50). Has potential but can't really say because plot has not moved much and MC has not yet done anything but pretend she's useless.

I really like it. The chapters aren't too long but they are nice. I could read it smoothly. It does have a bit of a DKC vibe and I like that about it. I don't know what the person who gave it one star is talking about slow translations since there seems to be a chapter out every day or two since it started. Anyway I really like it so far so if you like DKC check this out.

It's pretty good. A lot of level ups and tons of face-slapping which is common in what you see in chinese novels. It follows a familiar plot of a modern person reincarnating inside a seemingly useless body that everyone deems tr*sh and gets powerful with every enemy she faces as she embarks on different adventures. What's more, it's a female MC!

I steer away from male-centered, cultivation novels because most of the time it contains a harem, but with a female MC, it's much more bearable. If you want a cast... more>> with more female characters though, you would be disappointed. But since the vibes don't really show the harem type despite the influx of men, it's passable.

Like similar novels with this genre, despite a revolutionary female MC, the rest of the female characters remain as side characters and you can only count those who contributed a slightly significant change to the plot with one hand. The rest are negligible and only serve as fodders that do at most 2 things in the story.

Unfortunately, like many novels that takes place in a different world that uses aura and magic, it still contains a huge gender divide. Which is weird, by the way, especially in a setting where strength does not rely on your body but by your cultivation levels.

Spoiler

And it's funny that among the five male members of Phantom, if you swap Tang Nazhi, Yang Xi, Yan Yu, Qi Xia, or Li Xiaowei's gender, their strengths would still be the same. It can even introduce difference types of female characters. And it can provide more complex relationships, too, that is not necessarily a romantic one.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Also, despite how the author explains time and time again that the other races, especially the elves that "does not distinguish between genders", they don't even have a single female Silvermoon guard (basically special forces among elves). It's really funny when you read it when it's portrayed that ALL female beings are to be soft and feminine when they're not antagonizing the MC. And how they compare the female characters with the MC just reeks of "not like other girls". I find it amusing though. Except for Long Miao, the deceased wife of the Dragon King, all strong female characters had to have a tough past to be on equal footing with the men. SYX, Wen Ya, and Fengling, for example. Like, I thought there's basically no difference between genders? Alas, the number is still disproportionate.

[collapse]

When it comes to the world's magic system, one thing I'm disappointed about is the lack of in-depth explanation of how the magic and battle aura works, and how the characters cultivate. Since Shen Yanxiao (SYX) was not originally from this world, she's basically like the reader. But the how's and why's of the cultivation progress for battle aura and magic was mostly glossed over. How did the humans cultivate? Is it the qi in the air and objects? It wasn't really pointed out.

Spoiler

How she managed to conjure fire as a beginner to burn Shen Jiayi was not really explained and I can only fill the gaps with my knowledge of the genre. There's even less explanation on how beginners even choose professions to the point that a stone could detect it through color. Was there a change in the battle aura's form? Did the nature of magic change, which is why Warlocks have corrosive effects to their curses? But how did that happen? How did they "choose"? How did Yun Qi's previous Warlock disciples even change professions into Mages or Priests after the Warlock's reputation declined? How were spells and curses even created? None of these questions was answered.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Furthermore, when SYX went to the Howling Abyss, it was said that martial arts seems to have vanished. Which is confusing, because other than the sword, knight, and archery skills, how did they move around? How did they hone their non-exclusive skills? Aren't they martial arts? Does that mean that once a battle aura person gets their weapons stolen and their magical beasts killed, they're basically useless in a fight?

[collapse]

For a chinese novel, the number of the chapters was the typical amount. Chapters are very short, but the chapter title connects to the next with each event. There are also a lot of arcs, but there is too little time for SYX to fully absorb everything that happened. Personally, it seems too little. About half of the story was about drama, and with how large the character casts are, most characters are pretty flat. Only the main characters have a semblance of character depth, and the others are pretty one-tracked. Even with her close companions, not much were known about them. The story is focused on the main character a lot.

Spoiler

And as much as I adore Xiu, since he's a god, he's pretty simple. He's basically THEE indifferent person who glares at everyone and meets girl who melts his heart but remains a glacier in front of everybody else. I say the most interesting character is Qi Xia, and until the end, not much was known about him. Poor boy fell in love with the wrong person. And next is SYX. As a morally gray character, she is NOT at all a kind person. But she cherishes her people. One thing's for sure though, she is a MASSIVE hypocrite. Or maybe she's just an unreliable narrator. Her internal monologue would really make you raise your eyebrows and sometimes you don't know if it's her or the author who wants to insist that she's not a kind person.

[collapse]

Because of the number of characters and the nature of this kind of novel, a lot of characters that are "important" to SYX don't get enough screen time, and even until the end, the finale was tied up with a few words, that depends on the reader if they enjoy that kind of ending.

HOWEVER! It was still a nice read if you want a really OP MC with a powerful backer and loyal followers.
Spoiler

Too loyal, in fact, that sometimes I just have to agree and move on despite the ridiculousness.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Staple arcs such as schools, competitions, bets, face-slapping, secret birth origins, empire-building, and great wars are a dime a dozen here. Plus, we can't forget the monstrous prodigy MC!

[collapse]

There's moments of sadness and grief, times where character antics would just make you burst in laughter, and the plot is easy enough for a majority feel good story. However, it contains some pretty dark themes and some arcs are heavy. You should expect lots of good-for-nothings always underestimating SYX as she proceeds to face-slapping them and then they grovel to MC. It was also pretty bloody, especially when SYX encounters formidable opponents. But it was not gory and the details were glossed over.

Spoiler

One of the arcs I enjoyed was the mermaid continent arc. Satan was just too funny despite the cruel acts he's done. Who knew that Genius Doctor that I read first was a sequel to this

[collapse]

Lots of adorable creatures, and MC schemes and steals left and right (it's ridiculous, honestly) with her godly skills. There aren't any white lotuses and green tea b*tches either. (Because of the lack of female characters). Overall, it was not revolutionary (in my opinion), but it's not really time wasted. I had fun myself despite my countless questionings. For those who wanted no romance though,
Spoiler

there is one. It was not the main point though, but they were adorable that I personally sympathize with the characters suffering from too much dog food. Fret not, the romance only kicks in about 1000 chapters in.

[collapse]
Compared to quality, with how many novels I just shook my head to, this one is pretty average. But, the antagonists are pretty cool, especially with how the main one came to be. (And with the ML, this gets a plus point.) <<less

Why the high ratings? The story is full of everyone's monologue. How 'useless, tr*sh, and good-for-nothing the FL is' has been going on and on and on like the story was only created so author could whine and vent their frustrations in life. Uck. Many reviewer's comments are on point, such as "too many useless inner thoughts", "too many useless and repeated information".

The story is long enough to be boring. I skipped many paragraphs and even chapters.

The setting is not satisfactory, in comparison to "The Legendary Master’s Wife". I did not like the fact that MC is capable of cultivating super fast without trying. In every place she goes there is troubles only she can solve! But sometimes her solving problems are good.

It was actually a very fun novel and I enjoyed reading it. Until chapter 2185.
Spoiler

The female protagonists somehow convinces herself that kidnapping a soon to be born elemental is okay right under the noses of the people protecting it. Even before that, she treats vermillion bird and the Dragon god as mounts to use whenever she wants. And I actually don't like Xui, other then being the strongest god ever, he is actually an extremely plain ml.

[collapse]

Maybe i've read too many. Novels where transmigrators go to each world and uncovers a completely different side to female protagonists who are portrayed as kind, sweet, etc. But now I think. Deeper about the female protagonists of the novels I read.

Spoiler

And like most fmc's, this one kills her enemys. Before they have the chance to. Retaliate, but there were actually a. Few who. Were young and were raised wrong, if she hadn't killed them they could have had the chance to learn from their mistakes and become better people like that Shen Jiawei. (If that was his name, but im talking about the younger male cousin)

[collapse]

But if you want a novel to read just because, to not use your brain and to pass time, then this would be a great novel.
