Just for Arc 1, I could say it is an interesting slice of life story. Of course, in this story you would like the ML. It is from his point of view afterall. Hence, any development you expect from the FL cannot be seen at all. Like what has gone thru her mind at the beginning, what was her end goal, if she didn't need the resources then why agree to being a kept woman of the ML, etc. But despite this, what you could actually see was the love... more>> of the author to Qing Rou. As if the author would like to give everything and all good to Qing Rou. All of the author's heroine are named Qing Rou. How sweet is that? And the way the author wrote about Qing Rou, as if cautious of her being offended.. Isn't it heart-rending? I feel the author's love and devotion to Qing Rou. It is like a diary in the mask of a novel. <<less

Although the arcs are short, the author does a good job of conveying how these couples fall in love in spite of their circumstances, their past, and sometimes against their will. When you meet that destined someone, you just can't help yourself. When they fall in love, it's ridiculously sweet and all sorts of adorable.

Favorite story is the last arc with the Emperor.

I disliked the ML of the arc about the general who made the MC wait 5 years for his own selfish needs and ended up not even marrying her and telling her they won't have kids even though he knows she adores children. I was really happy that after rebirth, she ignored him and made him suffer to try to win her back. He deserved all that he went through after what he put her through in their past life.

Arc 1 review:

A short and sweet arc, with well fleshed out characters. The translator's vocabulary is excellent but does not overdo it, leading to a perfect story. The lack of exposition does not create a sense of dissonance and incompleteness. Instead, it makes the reader focus on the core plot instead of extraneous expositions.

Character dynamics is pretty amazing, and I love how the male lead can maintain a delicate balance of cordiality and politeness with his ex. Every character, every event seems realistic and the relationship between the leads develop... more>> gradually over time. In general, I tend to be indifferent towards vanilla heteros*xual love stories, however this one just hits the mark. The side characters also receive suffucient exposure.

I don't know what to feel about the 1st arc, the plot didn't seem logical to me at all.. I have to say the translation was good and the writing of the author was also good, but the plot doesn't fit well with me. Really really like it so far. Except idk if the source material turned weird after ch 16 or if the translation wasn’t great after isolts quit, but the story got rough and hard to understand. So sad because I really want to keep reading moreeeeee but my brain hurtsss

I really liked how in the first arc it’s most obvious (compared to the next one) that the story is a transmigrated FL but told from the perspective of the ml, who didn’t know the previous owner and is never told anything about transmigrating but the fl. Kinda mysterious and never revealed but the ML doesn’t care as long as he has her. And she never wants to leave seriously so it’s HE :) <<less

No complaints about the novel. Maybe a minor gripe about how I like the MC’s personalities in some worlds and not in others, but generally a good read to echo the fluffy sentiments of others.

From the four arcs available.. I love the first and fourth arc the best 😍😍😍.. The second arc is sweet but didn't excite me much, while I failed to understand the third arc 😅

Nice setup/premise, translation. A lot of fluff, cuteness, sweet romance. I don’t think I was in the right mood for this when I read it though - wanted more character nuance, more tension.
