The winding mountains resemble a backbone, and the rich river splits like ribs.

The sea is vast, and the plains are even broader.

Three kings have come seeking to become one body, and five kingdoms have offered crowns to become vassals.

But I will not be a wise ruler, a tyrant, a benevolent king, or a wicked king.

I will be the last of this empire.

I am the ending night, and you are the new morning.

My beloved Kasha.

So, this is your story.

I absolutely love the story so far. It’s written so beautifully and in an almost poetic story telling way that I’ve not encountered in these light K-novels before. The translation is also amazing. The magic lore, complex politics, kind yet brave female lead Kasha, and the mysterious Ashil all bring this delightful story together. I can’t wait to experience thru reading more of Kasha’s journey!
