Eh. I can tolerate dubcon, but that goes up in flames when ML r*pes MC in c20. It was good until then. I mean, I get it, ML is a wacko and he's acc been pretty nice for a yandere... but MC was bleeding but dude was still thrustin'. Good lord. Before that, he had a chance in the forest to r*pe the MC but he didn't and held back, and I was so, so so so hopeful that it'd stay that way. But nope.

I mean the dubcon was... more>> also ML manipulating the MC and coaxing and cajoling him into a s*x session, which I guess is okay-ish bc at least MC is willing, but damn. c20 was just woAH there slow dOwn bro.

At the same time, this is ancient times and MC is only a servant. Worse things could've happened, hence why this ain't a one-star rating. I understand, but that doesn't mean I like it. Is it too much to hope for a decently kind yandere ML? I'm not asking for a saint. Just someone who's yandere but doesn't just r*pe when things don't go his way? Like, manipulation.... alright, I'll let that pass. But damn boy you couldn't even be bothered to trick him. Just stuck your prick in despite him actually verbally refusing you again and again. *Sighs*.

I'm giving it 3 stars instead of one because the ML really was f*cked up by the palace life. He was even forced to eat worms so he wouldn't starve. He has scars all over his body from ab*se and so his f*cked up mentality is well, justified. Again, doesn't mean I like it. You'd think he could've reined it in a bit for the one person that cared for him.

At the end, they do get together... I think. Well, after a whole shit-ton of emotional manipulation and 'distance makes the heart grow fonder' sort of thing.

This is a heart breaking story and sweet story at the same time. U will experience how disgusting and unhappiness living in royal family. Just one word from the king dissatisfied, even though u r a prince, then u will be over. His mother hated him, his dad neglected him, his siblings all mocking and torturing him by word or psycal, and even servants can see him as though as a dog. Thts sooo disgusting. This novel ML is villain. Why not? All ppl in this story except MC is... more>> all bulliying him. Why not retaliated back? He hate his family, he hate his father, he hate his sibling that treat him lower than dog. Even a dog is being feeded. Well this is wht I can feel. I am sympatised him, hurt for him, and anger for the ppl who hurt him. Fortunately, MC will accompany his lonely days, but of course, the ML already twisted and alread bcm a madman. Even though like this, I feel, he is seriously need more love. Reccomend to read. Beautifull novel and enjoy it ? <<less

I can usually cope with r*pe and dubcon and going into it I knew there was going to be r*pe but wow. The humiliation the MC is forced to endure even infront of others just because it helps out the ml's ascension.

I completely understand the ML was ab*sed as a kid but after MC is tortured trying to save him, ML just makes his life worse. Even going so far as his wet dream being about MC being tortured.

Even worse if when just to get the chance to f*ck MC, because the MC kept refusing. ML at the age of 14 blackmailed MC into having s*x with him or he would r*pe other women. He then had s*x with him in multiple positions infront of three of the maidservents because his mother said so. Also before even having s*x with him for the first time MC was forced to bow naked and back up towards him. So f*cking humiliating. Can't imagine ever loving someone who did that to me ON MY FIRST TIME HAVING s*x.

So I completed this novel and really liked it. I totally recommend it for all to read even if they dont plots with like royal family or emperor ML (like I did), because other than MLs journey to get the throne and MC helping him, there is no usual dog blood drama btw MC and ML. And I simply love the personality of the MC despite being an eunuch he doesnt lose hope and aspires to become no. 1 martial artist. He also encourages and helps the ML to become... more>> competent, even after ML becomes an Emperor, they dont any chance of love rival at all, and MC isnt one to get jealous so usually its ML who becomes frustated over MC not caring for him. All in all I loced the story and the extras too. Highly recommended! <<less

So it started rly well. The characters aren't your classic characters. The ML is even ugly, and MC's d*ck is cut off (geuss the shou). So the MC enters the palace in order to make money for his poor family, and there he meets the ab*sed ML. The MC is rly smart and manages to save the ML without causing trouble. He knows the limit of his powers and not to offend those in higher positions.

It's wonderful to see ML's confidence, that has been given by the MC, grow over... more>> time, and he'll soon grow into a smart and merciless prince. The annoying part is that the ML starts to do things behind MC's back, while their union is what kept me hyped. I mean c'mon you owe it to the MC to listen to him and at least keep him updated. <<less

Really promising. But the few chapters of both the novel and the webtoon feauturing the early life of the prince is so heartbreaking. The webtoon is pretty triggering (child ab*se, both verbal and physical). I just want Zhang Ping to arrive and make him feel love as the prince has never experienced it before.

I love this novel. The MC is a Loveable, Sincere and impulsive guy who is seriously a cinnamon roll. Loveable because he is the only person who ever accepted the ML despite his flaws (Eye roll😑) he honestly too good for his own good, Sincere because he is hardworking, earnest and honest to the bone and rather and moping about not having the better things in life he goes and get them himself, Impulsive because he tends to leap before he looks (That's why is an eunuch 😅) and though... more>> that gets him in lot of trouble it is still helpful, Though the ML is a bad influence on him he really is still too kind and his cleverness is not to be underestimated. Although the ML is a little twisted and is more or less a ticking timebomb (a total Yandere😅) but who can blame him. No one would be normal after going through what he did, Being despited for being a little different by everyone, Being Neglected and scorned by his mother, Bullied by his step siblings, Ignored by his father, Tortured by his servants he would have completely lost his marbles eventually😢😢😢 (He pretty much already had) if he hadn't met the MC who was the only one who cared for him. After meeting the MC the ML finally found a reason to fight against the injustice the best way he knew how by being conniving and ruthless. Though in the beginning the ML didn't tell the MC about his most ruthless plans and deeds (Because the MC is sincerely too good of a justice seeking person) and even violated the MC a few times but the truth is it was only because he was scared the MC (the only person who cared about him) would leave if he knew how cruel he was and so he decided to bind the MC to himself so he would never leave him😑😑😑. Though I don't approve or appreciate his way of loving someone but I understood and more or less so did the MC. But this is all just my opinion though I still hope you can give Huangfu Jie and Zhang ping a chance.😅😅😅 <<less

So this is really early on. We're not even at Chapter 2 yet. But I just wanted to say that on the translators website is also a Webtoon for "The Ugly Prince" that is also in the early stages, but it covers the history of the Ugly Prince's treatment after being born. And yes, his treatment is not so good. Still early on, but I have no difficulties following this translator's english/grammar etc. The premise looks interesting so far. So I'm hopeful for good development.

This story was already published in my country. There's 4 books 1-3 and special. The story is FANTASTIC. I can't review about the short ver. Since it's been almost 10 years but this is my beloved series and I was sad when I lost the second book. WHY did books kept losing when you pack it to change their position?

Anyway the ML is a little twisted understandable from the way he was treated by everyone except Zhang Ping. l loved zhang ping he is funny clever positive on the opposite prince jie was cruel he was worse than all the prince combined his actions were justified zhang ping is his saftey plug otherwise he would have burn the palace or would have been a madman or killer. only three chapters have been translated, but so far it seems like a really intriguing story, especially if you're tired of conventionally beautiful characters. As far as I can tell from mtling the rest, it's about politics, military strategy, & seeing the prince grow from an ab*sed child into a capable & crueler adult - all of which are EXCELLENT EXCELLENT THINGS

The thing I didn't like about this novel was how abusive the ML is. I know he's a yandere but there's a spectrum and he's definitely on the "needs to go see a psychiatrist" part of the spectrum. (´･ε･｀)

The other big gripe I have is the fact that this novel is incomplete. I know there are ongoing novels but this one doesn't have a regular schedule so I don't think I'll be able to feel the closure of a good ending or the 'tying all the loose ends by face slapping' (and usually I get over how abusive a ML is if the ending is good, idk just my way of coping). <<less

All in all, it's a pretty decent read. I liked some things and I disliked the others, and in my opinion it's this kind of novel you start and see for yourself whether it's something you enjoy to read or not.

I can't say the characters are very good. They are not entirely flat, but they certainly felt distant to me, and I barely can remember anyone besides MC and ML. The latter two relationships are somewhat tasteless for me too. They used to bicker all the time, but it felt... more>> somewhat artificial, and there was a lot of dubcon emerging here and there.

and generally this idea of a magical c*ck that solves all some of the problems but reversed so it's kinda a magical ass. And MC uses s*x to make ML vent and stop his deviant sadistic nature from erupting every now and then which feels quite in line with the general atmosphere of the book, but not very healthy and, moreover, romantic to me.

The romance isn't sweet (just as the relationships between MC and ML after about the first ten chapters or so, until ML comes out of his childhood age), so if that's what you seek, it'll must probably leave you disappointed. Both mains are also cruel and the book is okay with being cold and realistic about fights for power, so people's lives fly away like petals. I feel it's good author didn't bother to describe every single scheme and action, but at the same time lots of this wandering around and bringing evil plans of revenge to life wasn't very interesting either.

For me it's the novel I think is okay to read one time, but there's not so much emotions to evoke even on the first try, so barely anything is left for the second one. I don't think I ever return to reread. <<less
