I put off reading this for a long time because summary didn’t pique my interest and I’m normally not into sci fi until I finally ran out of other novels to read. Must say it’s interesting and a completely different genre to what I’m used to. The concept is fresh and I really like the MC. Cant say the same about the ML (or who I’m assuming is the ml).

That’s the reason I rated 4 stars and hoping it gets better as I read on.

I don't really like sci-fi but this is an interesting story. I still can't quite figure out who ML is though: is it the hero captain or the villain blue seal? I hope it's the latter, he seems like a very interesting character, and I hope that he will get more development in the future.

Su Qing (MC) x Hu Bugui - ML This story by Priest is a character study on how a person can grow and overcome the ups and downs and obstacles in his life. The plot, though engaging, is used to manipulate the MC - so we can decide for ourselves whether we can understand and accept his choices. There is a slow burn romance and they get their HE. Probably the biggest let down is the rushed ending.

Read this book after reading old injury and dissing that ML wowww now my mind is cleansed after reading this what a adorable ML everything is perfect and I know ending is bit abrupt but no problem it is fineee goood not even bored for a second while reading this as expected of our priest

I think this novel deserves a higher rating. Yes, the ending was very rushed, and there could have been one or two more romantic scenes - but all in all, the only real flaw in this novel is that there's not enough of the novel. I wish she wrote more chapters!! The novel itself was very good - the translation was absolutely excellent, the novel was incredibly funny and exciting even from the first few pages, normally it takes me a while to get into a new novel but this... more>> one grabbed me immediately. The excitement and drama is maintained constantly throughout the novel, there's constant plot turns, we follow the protagonist through a dramatic change over several years. The characters were very good - the MC is totally shameless and reminds me a bit of Wei Wuxian in parts, and the ML reminds me a bit of Lan Zhan but more openly romantic. The ML is sooo sweet and loving, he is at HC levels of tender devotion, and the MC is so flirty and shameless it's great. I only wish it wasn't a dang shounen ai - don't expect any smuts here, or at least nothing beyond "the night was long." But still it was very romantic and adorable. I read this in about a day or two, couldn't put it down it was so much fun to read and not very long. <<less
