The Ungrateful Bastards All Got Reborn—She’s Done Saving Them

Chu Ningzhao had read countless novels, but never before had one made her so furious she wanted to die.

The evil supporting character with the same name as her? The biggest sucker alive.

Since youth, she devoted herself to supporting her younger brother—recruiting loyal ministers, training generals—until he finally took the throne.

And in the end?

Everyone praised only her sister, Chu Yu.

Everyone she had once helped… ended up becoming Chu Yu’s bootlickers.

They’d gladly die for her—while turning around and calling Chu Ningzhao a venomous b*tch.

The young general she backed? Called her malicious.

The hostage prince she saved? Regretted ever seeking her help.

The orphan of a wronged official she helped rehabilitate? Wished he’d followed Chu Yu instead.

Even her own little brother—the emperor—acknowledged only Chu Yu as his “true sister.”

Chu Ningzhao nearly lost it.

Since when did Chu Yu ever save or help them?

A few sweet words and they fell head over heels?

Even after her death, these simps were still repenting:

Why didn’t we follow Chu Yu from the start?

Why didn’t we go to her for help back then?

If they could go back, they swore they’d never turn to Princess Ningzhao.

Well—

That was exactly what Chu Ningzhao wanted.

Let them have their do-over.

Let’s see how they survive without Princess Ningzhao.

Let’s see how Chu Yu—this person they “love so much”—actually helps them.

Then, overnight, everyone got their wish.

Every single one of those ungrateful bastards was reborn.

And Chu Ningzhao? She transmigrated into the role of Princess Ningzhao herself.

Perfect.

She was done with that garbage plot—and she’d rewrite it with her own hands.

She was going to show them the real venomous woman, what truly evil looked like.

Didn’t they all regret not turning to Chu Yu earlier?

Fine.

Go to her now.

Walk straight to your own demise.

I'll be back later if the realization sets in to edit this. If that part hasn't been translated yet, this review will probably just disappear.

It's nonsensical. The basic premise of it is someone gives you a sh*t ton of money upon learning that you have a sh*t ton of debt. Someone else swoops in after person 1 pulled you out of debt and starts yapping about how much better they would've done things. And for some reason, you decide you'll support the latter and kill the former.

It's just full nonsense,... more>> if you actually do believe someone who said words over someone who took action, you have to be mentally deficient in at least a dozen different ways. A newborn probably has more intelligence, and all they know how to do is poop all over the place and cry as you clean it up.

And the satisfaction part, you know, them realizing everything, really doesn't seem to be occurring any time soon. With the level of intelligence they display independently of their believing words over actions, I'm not sure if they'll ever realize.

So in essence, it builds up a ton of frustration, and we don't even get good satisfaction. I'll read onwards to the most recently translated chapter by BOTI, they translate really well by the way, if there's no satisfaction up to that chapter, this review will be deleted, if I can. If there is, I'll come back to let y'all know if it's any good. I mean, nonsensical as it is, if we get to see the a**holes suffer greatly enough, and it's going to have to be A LOT of suffering, then it's all forgiven. That's how these stories work, at least for me.

Ok I suppose there was a satisfaction part up to this point? I just reach 92, not reading further, it's kind of boring. There wasn't much actual satisfaction, but I guess the morons are living much worse. One of them permanently walks with a limp now. One of them is doomed to have no future at all. One of them might die. Unfortunately, that's not the kind of suffering I want. I want the angsty kind where they realize that they were treating the wrong person well. That has been happening, but none of them have changed their mind. Can't blame them though, she's been viciously mocking all of them this life, and has made it amply clear that it doesn't matter what they do, they no longer have any need to interact. Maybe they do realize but also see that she really doesn't give a crap, so they try to justify themselves outwardly hoping it helps them believe it inwardly. That's unlikely though, they keep reaching out to the MC's sister for help, and they all end up more hurt, whether it's emotional damage from being ignored or just plain beatings. After being burned so many times by the sister, you'd think they'd stop, but no. So that theory's out the window, I think they're just plain s*upid.

A sociopath has more EQ than them. And if we measured their intelligence, they'd have to climb several flights of stairs to reach the bottom of the Mariana Trench from their IQ in millimeters, given 0 is the sea level obviously. <<less

You will need to suspend some disbelief at the door for how the green tea was able to manipulate anyone, but once you’ve done that this is a very enjoyable “revenge is a life well lived” story. It’s a very straightforward story, but it’s paced great - never rushing past what I want to see, never lingering so that it retreads ground or that simplicity gets stale. There’s enough variety in how people get hoisted on their own petards, only for the FL to swan past and add oil to... more>> the fire, that I’m entertained. I read it, and then I wanted to read it again because I had actually favourite scenes. I do recommend it.

Exactly as the description says, the novel is basically about the ‘male leads’ that for baffling and silly reasons detest Chu Ningzhao the one who helped them in their time of need and love her twin sister who did nothing except sweet talk them.

All the ‘male leads’ get their wish granted and go back in time and this time they ask Chu Yu for help (she doesn’t have memories of the future), what they don’t know is that she is very good at currying favor when they are important, but... more>> as for helping them in their time of need? Not a chance. She doesn’t like to make the effort nor take the risk. Of course, Chu Ningzhao won’t help this time.

The story is very entertaining. <<less
