Only the first 2 chapters are good.

The MC is indecisive and s*upid. The typical white lotus. He is a guy yet he acts like a girl, and always cry 😅. Upon remembering his past he fully knew his ending. His father is cruel to him thinking of only power. If I were him, I would rather be disowned and work to fend myself. To make matter worse, at only c7 (12 y/o) he got feelings to ML. He was a university student so his thoughts to ML should be like... more>> a litte brother. He is also asking why the story didn't change??? He couldn't even refuse the ML. What happened to his will in the first 2 chapters? Is he a masochist??

The ML,.. He forced the king for him to be engaged to MC. The king wanted to give MC a title and land but was opposed by the selfish ML. MC and ML really suits each other, one is s*upid and masochist, while the other is selfish and arrogant <<less

The fluffy moment is only at the beginning when everyone still enjoying their childhood life. No harem.

Throughout the novel is about the journey of our MC daily life of crying in pain lovesickness of not knowing anything but hiddenly protected by others. Everyone love MC airheadness because he's cute delicate slim guy who can't grow much due to poison,

even the Female Heroine felt that the pampered MC, a guy, is much more of Mary-sue heroine than her. The Male Heroine who's force to accept the secret contract between the... more>> ML and his friends so they can keep en eye on him due to MC keep being paranoid whenever seeing him since it remind the MC of the BL plot.

Since it mix game the capture targets more like bis**uals.

I was wondering why the author like to try feminisation the MC, he a college guy who reincarnated! Dressing him up, princess carry and all. I know it's for the fluff but it getting weird when he keep accepting to be female role... He more suited to be reborn than reincarnated so it doesn't emphasize the White lotus vibe.

Since He doesn't know what to do with his life other than worrying breaking up with ML, so he ask the Queen to give him a PRINCESS ETIQUETTE EDUCATION since he's the fiance?!? I'm like why can't you ask for prince course or something? Every adult try to break their relationship so they can have a heir, or consult him by saying he should married as concubine/second wife. Even the Queen ask him to join her to go travel abroad to avoid this mess and then come back.

There's no greedy harem or stealing other lovers. More about scheming of adults rather than between teenagers love. All the characters in the game is like a cannon fodder/ puppet use by their parents and adults *faceplam*.

The MC still married the ML.

That's one of the reasons why the father ab*se and want to kill the MC (like really kill MC). Yoo~ that's a crime I was hoping a face slapping/retribution/revenge but our MC busy being a matchmaker giving others happy ending. Just gloss it off the issues.

Our MC still crazily in love with the prince and can't accept everyone ask him to break the engagement due to the prince selected to be a king and need a heir.

The author doesn't explain much about the Male Lead (Alfred the second prince) and his Aides (childhood friends - also capture targets) what they're doing behind the scenes whether dirty or not and their progress journey. More explain about their innocence friendship when they were a child, maybe so it could be more favourable for the readers towards the capture targets. <<less

I decided to get into this because the first chapter had a promising start. The MC seemed like a willful, strong character, but as the story went on... what happened to that? I've read ahead into the raws, nearly finishing the story and then wondered why I wasted so much time on it. I'm not going to spoil anything major but let's just say that the only thing the MC thinks about is the ML. That's what his entire character and existence consists of. He literally never thinks of anything... more>> else. He has no hobbies, no desires (aside from the ML, apparently, but their chemistry isn't even that convincing anyway. Why do they even like each other?), no dreams, no personality (and no, cute, which he is described of as often, is not a personality), nothing he cares about outside the ML. All the characters are flat and uninteresting aside from the MC's female friend who is somehow a step up from the MC in that at least she expresses what she wants to do in her future. That's just sad. That's such a low bar; the minimum requirement that makes readers want to root for the MC, and the MC doesn't even clear it. A side character does. It's hilarious now that I'm writing this review.

The plot is nothing. There's barely anything aside from MC's fear of his death that drives things and even then, he doesn't take any initiative at all. Things happen to him but he never makes things happen himself. Very boring. Why'd I waste my life on this. I demand my time back. <<less

The first few chapters were interesting, but as the novel continues, I start to lose interest and it hurted my brain trying to figure out "why" and "how".

MC

How should I describe him nicely.... he's ummm let's just say he gets worse after those few chapters at the beginning. The MC was not bad at the beginning since he starts off as a sunny and strong witted person, but by the time he actually got engaged with the ML, his whole person took a turn. He basically got turned into a... more>> cry baby, naive, no common sense, useless person. Just throw him in those trope-y shoujo drivel and he can compare to the FL.

Side characters and ML

Basically everyone loves MC no matter what just because he's a cute and delicate guy who can't grow much due to the poison. Even the Female Heroine felt that the pampered MC is much more of Mary-sue heroine than she is herself.

Overall, About 99% or so of the characters in this story is on the negative side of IQ/common sense.

Main reason for reading this: the translation is good and if you are alright with reading a novel damsel in distress MC and no IQ characters and is just looking for something that is light harem like.

(I sounded pretty rude doing this review, my bad. I would like to say though that the person translating this did an awesome job translating so go give them some pats on the back.) <<less

If you want soft BL harem, this is the story for you! This novel is a light read, nothing too serious, really enjoyable with all the fluff ♡♡ There is still plot, a good plot at that, but the main focus are all the flirty really cute scenes.

BONUS: The author seems really nice and the translator did a great job!! They also update frequently ♡♡

There's not much good to say about this except the translation was done very well.

Overall, MC is as other readers have mentioned: weak, crybaby, clueless.

The author tried several times to make the MC more intellectual or have his own schemes, but they were presented as infodumps after the fact, aka very unconvincing. You can tell the author wanted the MC to be more interesting (?) but failed to successfully execute that in the writing.

The child ab*se by the MC's father was also blamed on the king and on the mother. Extremely distasteful moment. Obviously, it was wrong of the MC's mother to cheat on his father, but for the father to choose to take out his anger by hitting a 6 year old innocent child is also just wrong. MC blamed his mother and the king for his father's ab*se. *facepalm

It's not bad but it's only bearable if you really like cute, basically useless MCs.

The first few chapters start off good, with the MC remembering his past life memories and standing up for himself, but once he gets the slightest realization that he loves the ML, all that character goes right through the window.

Now it would be fine if he was only cute and weak in front of the people he trusts but unfortunately, he's like this with basically everyone. He's no longer able to stand up for himself, only... more>> able to wait for the ML or any other of his friends to come and save him.

It's not bad for a fluffy, cute, no-brain stress-reliever though, since you'll know that nothing bad will actually happen. The interactions are somewhat cute and it can be funny to see literally everyone falling for the MC's cuteness but otherwise there is little to no substance.

That being said, I really wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for anything with a story and plot. There is some semblance to a plot here and there but between all the feel-good fluff I honestly can't even remember any plot whatsoever.

If that's your cup of tea then this novel is for you. I personally probably will keep reading it once more chapters come out, probably. I'm already this deep in so I can't back out now.

The translation is really good. Huge props and thanks to the translators of the series. If the translation was sub-par I would probably have dropped it by now.

After reading and finally, finally finishing this absolute mess of a novel, I can say that it is not worth reading. Uhh. The story is just so messy and it gets more and more confusing, like just plot twists pulled out of absolutely god knows where. Especially around the later chapters. My reaction everytime I read a paragraph is just variations of "HUH??? WHAT??? WHY???"

But there is some good points to it. For instance, it gets so bad and so unbelievable at some points that it's funny. I had a great (painful) time laughing in disbelief at this novel.

also peak comedy is when Fania complained about his mother having no redeeming qualities other than being cute and weeping and sobbing. Like mother like son I guess.

And there is also a side pairing that appears in about chapter 59 which, makes absolutely no sense. Despite that, I actually enjoy their dynamic. They have a lot of potential. It's just a shame that it was sprung on me out of nowhere and had little to no screen time for development. For anyone wondering who it is:

liking the story so far... can't wait for more.

Can't say anything too concrete for the plot since it is a very reincarnation-villain/villainess-otome type setting. But, loving the MC right off the bat~

Love the translation too since it is so smooth and easy to read! Great work!!!

Can't wait for the next chapter!

Looks good so far. The translator has done a good job, and the premise itself is interesting.

The only negative aspect would be how short the first chapter is. I'm not sure if every chapter is this short or just the first one, but for those who prefer having more material to read, they might want to wait until a few more chapters have been translated so that they aren't frustrated when they run out of reading material.

I couldn't even make it up to the entrance ceremony. The MC is a university student reincarnated but it really doesn't feel that way at all, especially when they were 12 years old. The MC has the advantage of being a mature male in a kids body except why does it feel like the actual 12 year olds are more mature than he is ? The crying. He's always crying, small, fragile etc. Why on earth did the author give us a badass scene in the start and just flipped... more>> the MC's personality to that of a damsel in distress. What happened there? Also, I forgot this was a BL halfway through the first 5 chapters because of how the author depicts the main character. So, story isn't for me. It's weak overall and I wasn't able to take any of the characters seriously. Feel free to check it out. Happy reading <<less

I tried to hold on, but I'm finally dropping this.

The MC started off as sunny, bright, and strong willed, but by the time he got formally engaged to the ML, he turned into a completely different person. Cry baby, naive, idiot who's only around to be f***ed and rescued. Just slap some b**bs on him and throw him in a frilly dress and he'd be no different from any other FL in the most trope-y of shoujo drivel.

There were attempts at deeper plots and maybe those will pan out later,... more>> but I highly doubt it at this point.

Kudos to the translators though. The translation is excellent. <<less

Is not bad, and I like the romance interaction of the MC and ML but the story is kind of dark for a otome game (is not too dark but the MC father hit the MC and there is even potion and asecination) to be honest I was hopping for a sweet story, since is a otome game.

Before going into this story, I did read some of the reviews and I have to say that I feel that some of the readers came in with vastly high expectations for this story. This is a very simple reincarnation story that hits the basics of what the reincarnated person would do while adding in otome elements in an academy setting.

I also understand why alot of people are disappointed in the MC with his strong personality at the start but turned into a crybaby. But in my honest opinion, MC... more>> has always been a crybaby from start to finish as there's no real change in his personality. His strong personality lies in his audacity in being able to speak his mind. Which stays as he gets older. The reason why his crybaby nature didn't come out was simply because there was no immediate threat that would beat down into his anxiety. And his anxiety is very well know from the start as he's constantly worrying about his potential death because of his 'villainous' status.

And to add to his crybaby nature, that honestly isn't an issue. There was never a moment where I thought 'why are you crying now??' Or 'MC needs to get over himself and man up.' If anything, all the moments he's cried in the story, none of which hindered the progression of the story. MC never cried in moments that actually mattered and took the actions he felt was right. The moments he did cried, the author used that time to lay out MC's thoughts and fears that is a constant source of anxiety that's always been there since the start of the story. Just that instead of it being a faraway problem, it's now a very real present problem.

Especially since to MC, the BL game he's in is forcing him into those 'events' that happen forcing him to play the villain. And he's genuinely afraid of the bad end along with the scary chance that he can't be with ML who he genuinely loves.

So it's kind of unfair to call the MC a crybaby in a negative way. He's more over emotional in my opinion.

The only thing that prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating with how simple the story was while trying to add so much. It needs more world building. It would've easily accomplished that by adding more POVs from the other characters. Especially from the ML. The POV swaps we do get has a tendency to info dump on the reader like a cold bucket of ice. Shocking, but fills in those plot holes soundly. A few more POV swaps to ease that transition and answer a few more plot holes could've smooth out the story better. Especially towards the end. Some of the end game story wrap up was wild and almost gave me whiplash.

I usually don't mind tr*shfics. I really don't. I usually read to pass the time. However, this novel was simply baffling. There is no cohesive plot, the resolution to conflicts is so laughable that I would prefer if there was no conflicts in the first place! It wouldn't have made a difference because the conflicts doesn't serve a greater purpose like character growth, or a deeper understanding between the main characters. It's useless.

The author also can't seem to keep the side character's personalities consistent. Especially His Majesty (ML father). I... more>> don't know what the author was attempting to do with him. The Duke (MC father) was also the same!

I could usually read tr*sh novels but this one was really garbage. There is nothing worthwhile to read here. <<less

I seem to have forgotten why I usually don't read Japanese light novels when I started reading this. But then I remembered... I get annoyed by Japanese light novel MCs a lot of the time. It's always those naive, happygolucky, dense and exaggeratedly silly protagonists that get to me. If you were to use a Chinese term, you could call the MC a white lotus, pure holy mother and a Mary Sue. I really don't like this type of protagonist. It just feels generic and without real substance. The fact... more>> that I have read too many novels with these kinds of MCs also doesn't help with my annoyance.

The plot is also pretty generic which I won't fault for now since I don't particularly mind cliches. In fact, I like them even sometimes and actively search for such novels. The novels only needed a bit of their own twist to make the cliches their own to satisfy me. This time, however, was a dud for me. It felt like I was reading every otome light novel I have ever read before again in BL format. The fact that the characters were pretty one dimensional and stereotypical didn't help.

Needless to say that I dropped the novel. I needed a light and easy read as a pick-me-up for in-between longer novels. And while this was indeed a light read, it was so light it felt like my braincells were about to take off and fly out the window, never to be seen again. <<less

At the start, I enjoyed how the character had made his choices by himself without being influenced on how people around him thought or influenced by love at all. As you progress deeper into the story, it is evident that the MC (fania) quickly got dependent on people around him which is not really bad, but he got too dependent to the point he would easily cry if something bad happened to him. The character development is slow, but still acceptable. It was only near the end did the MC... more>> finally start standing up for himself again just like in the start. The scenes aren't too explicit but it is still highly suggestive, the fluff could also be tooth-rotting had both characters been clear from the start about their feelings for each other instead of running around like cat & mouse. Overall this story isn't that good but not bad either. Since Author had put effort in this, I guess it could pass. <<less

I just gave up on finishing the novel. It's just not good, really. I'd give it a 2 star if it weren't for the fact that all the author intended for was fluff (which this novel does have).

If you were to throw away your brains, this wouldn't be a bad read. The MC's personality seems to be wavering, just timid or courageous, with no in between. The ML has no personality besides obsessing over the MC. The MC acts like a primary school student with absolutely zero EQ, and I... more>> don't know how I managed to read this far. The plot isn't special, the writing doesn't help to enhance the mediocre story any bit, the characters are as flat as a piece of paper, and it's just boring to read. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this unless you're just desperate for fluff. Even then, I'm sure there are much more better novels out there with a better plot and more fluff. <<less
