Shen Wanqing has transmigrated into a xuanhuan-angst novel! In the novel, the male and female lead’s love story is full of misunderstandings, leading to heartbreak and hurt. In the end, one is dead, and one is wounded.

Thus, the evil villainess Shen Wanqing starts working hard for the love of the main leads. But….

And just like this, in order to prevent the protagonists from breaking up, Shen Wanqing carefully worked hard on the frontlines. Until one day, the villain who had an unrequited love for the female lead came to find her.

This villain who was rumoured to be violent and bloodthirsty, faintly smiled at her, “Young lady, being a meddler will only lead to death.”

I've re-read this novel like, three times even before it was completely translated. So glad it was picked up by Wanderer Translations. I've finished reading it long ago through MTL. But the translated version is still much better compared to MTL. So after reading this again, I was full of laughter at the first few chapters. The female lead, Shen Wanqing, is a very unique protagonist with also unique personality. She's both clever and funny. Both her and male lead, Xei Wuyan's interactions are hilarious I look like a madman... more>> trying to hold back laughter from time to time. It was when later chapters came that I was full of tears. Then laugh again right after. I really love the author. The chemistry between the protagonists is *chef's kiss*. And you know what? This is also one of the rare Chinese novels out there where the original protagonists aren't actually annoying or brain dead. They were genuine good people that truly wanted good for everyone. The plot and both characters, although I can't make a detailed description on how to describe it, I just wanted to say that it's so beautiful. It was a quick read but I went through a roller coaster of emotions. I really love the female lead though. She's so witty and I just can't-- hahaha. Go and give it a try. You won't regret it ;) <<less

A good quick read? for a xuanhuan story. At the start the ML&FL (of the novel) that our MC Shenwanqing, really have the protagonist halo of absurd arguments that may lead to misunderstanding, but fret not!! Our MC is there to save their love from so many twist and turns hahha. Also our ML🥹 he suffered a lot despite this he slowly fell inlove with MC and have a soft spott for her.

MC might do some ridiculous moves (for missions haha) but all of these was somehow always caugt by... more>> ML😂 so dont be scared of large misunderstanding. Our ML just usually looks after and teases MC. But if MC need help he will be there. Happy endingg~ also for the protagonist of the novel! A good character developmemt for them! <<less

I really liked this, it's funny, cute and fresh but also made me cry a little. I had to read the last half MTL so some things were confusing but I enjoyed it nevertheless. The FL and ML are both likeable and cute together, I just wish it were a little longer since I liked their romantic moments and wanted to see more of them. I love the FL x Villain ship in general since it's refreshing, so this was definitively right up my alley.

Laughed out loud so much. XD The main character's reasoning is ridiculous and shameless, lol. The interactions between the characters are so much fun. The main couple gets a 5/5 for fun banter and chemistry.

The story itself is 4/5 because my brain can't comprehend some of the logic - the story was overall fun to read because of the characters and I like that most of the characters kind of find their own answer to the question of whether it's right or wrong to sacrifice a few to save many,... more>> but the author didn't use the OP ML very well. If he was so powerful, there were a lot of pointless things happening. I guess you could say the ML was probably super bored? Overall, it's a fun silly story. <<less

A very enjoyable read! Read this novel a few years ago and binge-read it again recently :)) One of my favorite FLs. She's chaotic, unrestrained, and acts in unexpected ways, constantly leaving everyone dumbfounded. Especially the ML, he's always thinking "why is she an even bigger villain than me" lol. I absolutely loved their banter.

Every arc was interesting and didn't feel dragging--all the "demons"/antagonists they had to eliminate during their travels were fleshed out really well. They had tragic backstories and I was glad they all found peace in the... more>> end (Xiu Niang, Princess Zhao Ping, Xia Qing,...). Can't forget the "original" protagonists too, they accepted both FL/ML wholeheartedly and had so much character development throughout the story. <<less

FL taught me I don't need any male characters to be cool, just be myself. That's essentially how she is in the novel, she did things as per the system dictated and at the same time she could care less what others thought of her. And that is my hero. I love her so much<3

I adore Shen Wanqing.

She might not have the best brains like those "I'm always ten steps ahead."

But, she is decisive, positive, creative.

... more>> I love how she transmigrated her first thought was that if she killed the villain in the beginning, things will resolve.

It's a very reasonable thought.

She didn't hesitate to do so. She did what she knew would give her the result she wanted.

Problem is, obviously the plot won't let her kill ML.

ML is faking "I'm on the verge of death." And she gets caught.

There's an obvious gap in her power and the demon lord's, the demon lord all of the novel people scared of.

It's impossible for her to kill him. What do you even expect her to do? She does what a nomal person won't be able to.

She does the best she can.

As for ML, aww, the rare green flags I find in yandere tags.

On that note, even though the novel didn't highlight how scary it is for a demon lord to roam around you, threatening to kill you. You can guess. Even though, author used humor about how scared she is. You can guess!

Anyway. The novel is mostly like a big adventure novel, whith MC and ML bantering on the road.

And the theme is, If the world will be saved for your sacrifice, should you die for it? The answer the novel gave, there's no right choices. No one wants to die, and it's okay to be selfish about this, and also okay to sacrifice yourself for the world.

Anyway, the only con probably, if you want MC to be more cool.

She is very salted fish.

She enjoys her life, and takes action only when she absolutely need to. She is more of a funny sidekick of the original protagonists.

However, she is not a coward. She knows her limits.

And she repeatedly showed her decisiveness.

But, I can't say it's 5 star novel.

The only con of the novel is, MC is a salted fish.

Which means, she would rather close her eyes and enjoy her life than actively get stronger, or lead the plot. The plot just happens, and she deals with the as they come.

Yea, hated that. But it's a fun read. And who doesn't want to enjoy life? <<less

Very funny mash up of rebirth, novel wearing, demon fighting and post-apocalyptic living. Tracing each personality through the different set-ups was a bit tricky. I wonder (just a teeny bit) if the overbearing Universal Dao Palace (a character force I usually enjoy) could be an extremely veiled reference to the Chinese political system. It’s all about the communal good vs the individual that hmmm? As a story, though I still like it.

The side stories are so freaking cuteee. I've reread this and I still find it an enjoyable read. It's so great in developing the characters and plot.

Each of the characters have interesting and well-thought personality. Although obviously there will be some development in their personalities and attitudes, it must be taken into attention that their characters can be said manage to remain consistent throughout the story. While it SEEMS to be a brain dead type of novel with barely there character development, this story has quite a satisfactory character development.... more>> For example, the MC who previously is detached from the world will gradually learn to live, love, and even fight for her new life. The other characters have grown to be a lot mature too (the shifting from pure black-white view to morally grey view is AMAZING). The development of relationships in this story is not a simple hate to love relationship. You can read that the characters will eventually learn to like their partner, even the OG pairing will learn the trust they need in a healthy relationship (we all know that the usual overly jealous partner trope in reality will be the beginning of a toxic relationship). I am surprised to find that the story can convey (very well) a lot of feelings on its reader. The angsty part is simply heart breaking. While there's certainly some broken logic in the story, it manages to cover it up with some well written emotional scenario. The anti climax certainly is satisfying. The most important part is that the plot does not just take the OG pair as the antagonist but they make it so that their good nature feeling can be dangerous to the main pairing (as opposed to the usual trope where they simply make the OG pairing as hidden antagonist, which is boring tbh). I really love the emotional progression in the plot because I can rarely find story that can make me feel this emotional recently. <<less

I also really love the way they love each other. They're really in love to the point of sacrificing everything and betraying everyone in the world for each other. I really like the FL especially. She doesn't care about being nice or whatnot, she doesn't stop ML from killing somebody just because its considered bad. Its a breath of fresh air really and I would love to read more FL like her. Its the complete opposite of the original Protagonists tho hahaha. I bet you would be frustrated because they're so effing righteous all the time. Even if one of them is about to die they would still hesitate to finish off the enemy T__T. LIke are you serious?????? But I'm glad they're not just shallow, they're like that because its the author who made them like that. They also have character development at the end too, which was really nice.

I feel really sad about some characters here tho. Their stories are really tragic.

Overall, I really love this and recommend this.

I really love this story. MC was so funny. Her rambling and her interaction with ML were also quite hilarious. There were few angsts and heart-wrenching moments but thankfully, it didn't take long to finish so I didn't even manage to shed a tear before the happiness came again.

However, although this novel had cultivation theme, the essence of cultivation itself was almost neglected in this story. Until now, I don't know the cultivation level of MC, ML, orgML, and orgFL. Even when there was enemy, the author only described it... more>> as weaker or stronger than the protagonists. There was also no description about the cultivation method in that world other than the evil one, such as: sucking cultivator's soul.

However, although the world building in this story was quite lacking, it's still enjoyable to read so I still give it full stars. <<less

It was refreshing and hilarious. I don't care what people say about this story being similar to Black Lotus. I like this one more. The FL was hilarious and ML had a proper personality instead of just being "cold, dark and ruthless". This story is short and funny, without too much angst, so if you're tired of heavy, in-depth novels with twists and turns like me, then I definitely recommend this one. My mood was very good throughout the entire novel. I was laughing and giggling from FL's antics and... more>> the sad parts weren't actually that sad. I 100% recommend <<less

One of my favourite.... Thought at some point of reading I wanted to kill the writer 😈😈... I like that FL and ML of the original story is actually so likeable person and finally a story where current protagonists and previous protagonists don't fight among themselves but live in harmony... But really really really hate that system, it would be nice to know the background of system, like where it came from or who set it up, I even have doubt that the heavenly dao sect is the one... more>> behind this bit*h system.... It’s cute short, slapstick comedy kinda story. The FL it’s seemingly silly and cute but actually there some kind of depth in her but because of the writing/plot there’s not much description. ML as always, op demon but conquer by this seemingly silly, cute girl. There’s alot slapstick comedy surrounding FL action especially the thoughts. But there’s also afew bits of aghast moments (which was quickly solve) Overall if wants to read light and fluffy romance. This is quite ok to read.
