Noooooooooo....... It's over!!!!!!!

The best cultivation novel I've read so far! And the fact that it's written in Gong's POV made it more enjoyable for me.

I got hooked on reading for three nights (to dawn) !!!! Will 10/10 read it again because it's written so well!!!

I loved this!! The conflicts between the MC & ML were resolved quickly and with common sense... like two adults. I wish it was longer.

I really enjoyed reading this one.. Very cute with the demonic beasts and the shou is a cute little kitten.. Its kinda funny too. I also love the mini theater in every end of chapter and the translations is amazing..

Just what you will expect from this author (｡･ω･｡) ﾉ♡

This is a really fun read. The plot is there, but not heavy. So much fluff!

The MC is the gong who really loves loves his cat haha. The ML is a tsundere and a vinegar jar xD.

Although, this story also contain some similar elements to erha, this is a completely different kind of novel. There are almost no knife chopping onion plot point here. The angst is really subtle and not the focus of the story, unlike erha where you should... more>> always prepare boxes of tissues. Also, erha is a heavy plot kind of novel, while this novel is not. So, if you want something like erha where there are many angst and heavy plot, I recommend not to read this. But, if you want something like erha but less angst and more fluff, then go ahead and read this (*´ω｀*).

Do I recommend this novel? Yes. <<less

All hail Lord Kitty!

This the type of novel you’d go for if you sport for fluffier plots. For a cultivation novel, it’s pretty light in terms of the usual petty drama & plethora of nonsensical face-slaps. In that sense, it’s a really good & lighthearted read that centers mostly on the main CP & their so-called “trials & tribulations”. I enjoyed it for the most part because it just hits a lot of sweet spots. Come on- a separation-reunion theme starring a tsundere kitty & his lovestruck owner??? Consider... more>> me baited. This isn’t the story to go to if you’re looking for a detailed or deep cultivation novel that could assist you in ascending. This is a fun bl that only serves to give serotonin! <<less

I enjoy the animals, especially the kitty, who are beautiful and cute

The story is decently paced, with some medium length flashbacks and funny characters/items (OP immortal weapons etc), and is a fun, brainless sort of read so far, good for relaxing and avoiding philosophical inquiries and envisioning fluffy animals

I can't say that I'm interested at all in the BL aspect of this particular novel, doesn't seem very compelling. However, wcsp has other charms to balance it out

So, I really liked the book overall. Especially because I enjoy stories where one of the main characters can transform into animals. The interactions between the ML and the MC were very enjoyable to read. However, I have to say that plot-wise, the whole thing isn't very well developed. The strength of the book lies more in the interactions between the MC and the ML.

So I quite enjoyed this book, it hooks you in with MC Mo Tianliao’s mission to find his cat, which turns into several excellent chapters of the “catfishing trope” (lol literally) where he doesn’t realize his new righteous sect shizun Qingtong is the same person as his kitty. Hijinks ensue and MTL is appropriately shameless as a powerful cat-lover gong is supposed to be >:3

But then as you keep reading, you discover the big secret of the sect (minor spoiler since this is revealed early on) —they’re

! It’s truly a fun time as a reader trying to match the human and animal characteristics to guess other animals and make conjecture about who/what the other Ancient Divine Beasts like Qingtong are.

Mo Tianliao spoils his master, levels up in crafting, and uses creative means to make his way in this world with his second chance. There are a couple explicit ~spicy~ scenes that are well-written and not OOC, and the romance between MTL and QT is a bit of a slowburn in that ‘shameless disciple x tsundere master’ way. This story really shines, however, in continually raising the stakes for the couple’s future as a mixed couple in society while working towards the rising conflict of

Qingtong and all demonic beasts being unable to ascend to immortality, such that when even MTL’s master and his beast monkey ascended, only the master arrived in the immortal realm; the beast reverted over many years to a simple, uncultivated monkey. Reminded me of the conflict in Wicked about the animals losing their ability to speak.

Overall, highly recommend for a story with good balance of angst and fluff, leveling-up and xianxia, comedy and romance. The chemistry between MTL and QT is undeniable and the many, many sweet descriptions of Mo Tianliano risking it all for the lil ball of fluff makes for not only a great read, but a choice pick for a re-read. <<less

A very good cultivation novel! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am glad that I read it. Very fluffy and fun. The extras are also very adorable!

I love our Phoenix and Dragon side couple. They r the cutest! And also the other cubs are also very cute. I also adore shi di and his lion, I feel they r also a very fun couple dynamic. Would defo read if these side couples had their own book. The main couple is also good. All in all, I enjoyed this... more>> journey and now it's time to bid farewell to it. Definitely recommend this novel to all!

The descriptions of the fluffy fur balls (especially cat shou ML) was super cute, could picture the little paws with the toe beans. Cute furball who is a powerful cultivator with tsundere tendencies and golden retriever type gong MC was a sweet pairing.

Nice world building with well-paced introduction of each arc and side character. The parts which were predictable were enjoyably executed and the plot twists while not super exciting kept things interesting.

Snorted at the ‘convenient’ dual cultivation heal. But the execution of it was quite tasteful and in line with character.

Overall, chock full of fun characters and great plot. Despite the natural progression of the romantic storyline, from pet to master to lovers, there wasn’t any butterfly/tension moments. Potentially one, but not really. You kind of feel like ah, it’s definitely a HE, it’s just a matter of time. It could be that MC is a super transparent type of character so there’s little to no conflict? The fluff was good, the stickiness was adorable, but emotions were just mild.

Still good, but shy of a gem. <<less

Awesome lighthearted cultivation danmei featuring a wood spirit/human gong MC x a spiritual beast shou ML. MC gong is very devoted and doting but ML shou is a very tsundere cat who rarely shows his affections... but his actions shows he is a totally committed cat in love lol... there are plenty of ways this cat shows his love. I definitely prefer THIS 'white cat shizun' more than the other (more famous, dogblood, with a s*upid husky) one. I quite like the fact that ML is a real cat, with... more>> a lot of cat-like behaviour... he is not human but a spiritual beast. The side characters are all very interesting with well-rounded personalities... I loved the mouthy Taishi and his didi, the silly shixiong tiger MengHu, the ShiDi/Black lion cp, and the turtle who loves hemp too much lol... and there are a few more interesting wacky characters to enjoy... added to my re-read list. <<less

A good read as we journey with MC, Mo Tianliao, to recover what he had lost when he "died". The novel isn't straight forward, black and white in the characteristics of people and sects. The "righteous" sects are portrayed as more two-faced than the average novel. Everyone has varying degrees of darkness.

In the relationship with MC and ML, Qingtong, there exists a bit of toxicity. MC dotes on ML to the extreme but MC has his triggers. MC will be okay with being scratched, bitten, slapped by ML but he... more>> loses his mind if he thinks ML doesn't love him. So the obsessive/possessive red flags are sprinkled throughout the novel. However, this unconventional interaction seems to work out for them.

A happy ending for the main couple and other side characters.

MC accidentally kidnapped ML when he was young. ML is a demonic beast, so at the time he was a tiny kitten. MC found him by the river and thought that ML was alone so he took ML with him.

When MC "died", ML had split off a part of his soul to protect MC's soul. Later on, ML was able to cultivation to human form. When MC saw ML again, he didn't recognize ML and accepted ML as his master.

The plot progresses with rebuilding MC's cultivation and healing ML's torn soul. Later it is revealed that ML's sect is a sect of demonic beasts. In this novel, the demonic beasts are preyed upon and don't have any rights. MC creates an array that protects ML's sect from attack.

Also, demonic beasts are unable to ascend even when their bonded human ascends. MC creates a divine item that helps to remove this restriction in the world. Later MC and ML ascend into the immortal world.

A cute and angsty story

The MC doesn't really have much about him, he acts relatively young for his age and has a sort of teasing quality to his character. The ML is your typical cool beauty who is secretly deticated and loyal. The world is fleshed out very well and the side characters are cute and very lovable!

In terms of plot this feels a lot like one of those stories where the first several chapters feel like a casual slice of life comedy then somewhere along the line a major... more>> plot point drops and now we are going to war.

There is a healthy amount of angst, comedy, and fluff. For animal lovers this one will be an interesting read, there is mistreatment of animals so this story isn't nearly all cuteness and fluff. I'm picky so my only complaint is that the romance sort of drifts off past the confession scene, but we get introduced to a new couple so I guess all is fair in the end.

Overall it's a good story! I probably wouldn't be rereading it anytime soon but would definitely recommend for someone who wants plot, fluff, comedy, romance, and angst, all packed neatly into one. <<less

I have started this novel to relax from the angst in another one. Played it's role well enough.

A hellishly Mary Sue ML meets tsundere MC. This is the story of how one is spoiling the other to heavens.

The plot is nonexistent and full of all possible stereotypes of cultivations novels. As I said, ML is a Mary Sue, read it just for relaxation purposes.

By far, this one of the best love stories I've read. The characters and the content are a beautiful blend of strength and passion. There are comedic overtones in places throughout the story. I strongly recommend reading it. I would give it 10 stars if allowed 🌟

This books is definitely a good and worthy read. Maybe I will even read it again in the future.

The whole theme is quite unique, the same as whiting style. IMHO, it feels not like other cultivation novels. And I like the crafting part here too.

There is some comedy included, but sometimes is feels a bit s*upid or out of place. Still, the comedy is one of ways how our main couple interacts.

I expected a bit more from endings and extras. Ending was quite rushed and short. I felt like author... more>> just wanted to quickly finish it. Or maybe the culmination was not enough. In short, books was quite good but the culmination and endings is a bit disappointing.

The plot is good, I like this developments and pace. It was never boring, only a bit silly from time to time. I would really feel more complete to read a fuller ending. Still, what there is there.

There is some drama, but not much. Same with adventures. Mostly it’s our couple interactions. I should say, I feel a bit bitter for “scratching post” as I did not felt much love from TongTong. Maybe he just not showing is normally, or maybe this kind of character just not my cup of tea. Not sure. Tsundere was never to my liking.

Very easy to read, which is a big pros of this novel.

In conclusion: Not the best book I’ve ever read, but definitely a good one. Recommend to give it a go and see for yourself. <<less

oh WOOOOW!! I never actually read seme gong and whenever I do I ended up dropping them. But this one was different, its so good and so fluffy. I was expecting some kind of heart wrenching tragedy because of the tag but the tragedy was actually very light and the misunderstandings were done in like the same or next chapter. I like it so much, I did not expect that.
