it was sooooooooooo intoxicating, so good, as im currently in the mood for not-so-hard political scheme and this one satisfied me so much. Most of it is a household dispute with some politic added as spice. The character development is also good

Not much to say if your into the genre then you will enjoy. The epilogue/ending was a bit disappointing it felt rushed but it was nice to see a pleasant grandma matriarch towards FL for once and the 180 of ... more>>

left me surprised and by the end her fan egging her on. The yandere levels were not as high as I expected compared to similar novels but I don't feel like it needs to be anymore severe.

Actually enjoyed a FL who didn't just roll over and gave no sh*t for her reputation. Probably due to my 21st mindset I like that she deals with problems upfront using words and actions to her advantage and calling out fakeness, while not shying away from using favour to stomp over those trying to mess with her. It is a dog eat dog world thats just what you get in this historical setting. After all those important to her knew what she was truly like and the luck she brings. Why waste time gaining the country's favour, when in hard times they wouldn't be able to realistically do anything to help. <<less

I'm honestly just staying for the plot 😂 and great translation if I may add! ❤️ The romance between the MC and ML really creeps me out and the ml's thoughts is seriously giving me goosebumps 🤢

It's a good story nonetheless you should try reading it, just don't mind the ML 🙂

There's a lot that is objectionable about this novel, I can see why some people hate it.

To be honest, I hated the female lead at first. However, I think the author did a fairly good job of explaining how the outspoken but completely honest new FL is relatively better than the seemingly sweet but poisonous original FL. It's more about outlook on life. The original female lead acted as if the world owed her everything, and so anything she does to get it is fine. She treats her helpers the... more>> same as she would tools, without considering how compensating someone after they're dead doesn't matter a bit to that person, seeing as how they're dead. She looks after her friends and families only as an afterthought, and only if it's convenient for her. The new female lead behaves pretty badly as well, but at least she will genuinely try to help her friends and family, even if it ruins her own image. I don't think I'd ever want to meet a person like this in real life, but as a factional character, she wasn't irredeemable.

For me, I loved the face-slapping, which there was plenty of. The part that I think might have gone too far was the 2nd extra - that extra made me feel rather bad for the original female lead.

I found it morbidly fascinating to read about the family dynamics, the political dynamics, the marriage politics.

I also liked how the female characters are actually quite strong - even the villains. Perhaps the only weak female is the mother, but I did find myself pitying her a bit. She was lost in grief, and then fell into the trap of trying to recoup the sunk cost of all the effort she put into her biological daughter rather than repair the damage her grief had inflicted on her biological son.

The major part I found objectionable is how the new FL was always "sweet" and sexualized. I know this is a trope, but there's no way that eating someone else's saliva (just writing this makes me puke a little) is sweet. Also, I've never tasted sweet beeswax chapstick, unless maybe the antique version doesn't separate the beeswax very well from the honey. <<less

I would give 3.5⭐ for this book. Its a OK read. Not much of a great plot line and characters are mediocre. I seriously didn't like MC at all. She is really too rude and arrogant, just because other girls don't like her she wipes them ruthlessly. 🤦 And she is not inspirational at all, all she does is think about her elder brother this elder brother that. She never strives for herself. I won't say I hated her everytime, there was a moments where I loved her but most... more>> of the time her character is so dull😩. I think I like more of a calm and collected mc's like from "tyrannical wang's beloved wife". As for romance part I loved their deep love for eachother but it felt like an act of in*est even though they are not blood related. Author really made it look like a in*est story because everytime she would address him "her eldest brother" and he would kiss and hug her while in his mind he would think "my younger sister this that bla bla..." 😶. Seriously this was so infuriating to me, why would the author ruin those sweet moments by making them address eachother as brother and sister🤯. Really not my cup of tea. So 3.5 star from my side. <<less

Ahhh I love the MC!!! She's strong with a poisonous mouth that doesn't let anyone bully her but doesn't attack indiscriminately. ML is not really there much for the first half, but he is incredibly doting.

And it's more of 2 yanderes being together than just the ML being yandere. They're super sweet and cute. The summary is misleading for this.

There's also a character with amazing character growth! Starts out a scheming jealous idiot and takes some time but eventually does come to her senses.

The main thing I really disliked though... more>> was that the villains were just left there too long. MC and ML kept giving them chances (even when they claim they're waiting for them to mess up etc). Like yea when they mess up can openly and righteously deal with them but their messing up would implicate the whole family???? Let the mistake be serious enough and it'll be a crime punishable for the whole clan. Whyyyy.

This also contributes to the last part of the novel feeling contrived and forced. It felt like things happen only because they were needed for drama. The way things happened felt way too convenient.

The grandmother while an amazing support for MC also was way too easily swayed by people she doesn't like nor trust and knows harbours ulterior motives.

That all said I still really enjoyed the novel they were just annoyances that had me screaming mentally at the characters hahas. <<less

I liked.

I didn't find much yandere, who is it?, where is it?

There's no ab*se between MC and ML and no misunderstandings, they are affectionate and don't dwell much when they relationship change. The MC is also not shy at all.

A HE, without meat (you can see the smoke), the face slapping is satisfactory, no angst, no ab*se.

Very entertaining.

Very nice and cute idk but I like the story whole.

This one is not in*est as they both know from the start that theyre not siblings... But they just wanted to act like that because of the condition in that time.

Also this novel also remind of one of Korean drama, autumn im in love or endless love...

They also have almost same story like switched child, brother complex 😅 not a happy ending tho.

Read it if you want a good revenge fantasy where every character is unlikeable.

The FL is unlikeable, The ML is unlikeable, the grandmother, the villains... everyone. You don't know who to root for because they're all sociopaths.

Except the maids. For some reason the FL maids are at least sane.

It was a good read. Tho, the antagonists are kinda s*upid but the scenes are comedic and mediocre. So if you want a light-hearted read, you can give this novel a try.

The translation is precise and doesn't hurt my eyes. Thank you for the translators!

If there will be a criticism, I think the part where the ML realized his feelings is rushed and not expanded. So it surprised me that suddenly it occurred to me, Oh he already sees her as a woman. And I was just like since when????

Tho it was explained when, but it wasn't really narrated enough in the novel so the transition between treating her as a sister and as a woman was blurry.

Pros :

The MC doesn't let anyone talk bad about her. MC doesn't mind giving people a slap if they wrong her. She's witty and a frank person.

The ML is the usual kind. Don't really get the yandere vibe from him. The relationship between MC and ML is okay ig. I like how they tease eachother. I lowkey find the fake siblings trope interesting.

I was not bored for a second. So much dog blood and face slapping. I live for having toxic and angry feelings towards the villain characters, teehee.

Once the romance kicked off, there was mountains of dog kibble shoved into my mouth. I enjoyed it very much.

This was a quick and heartwarming read. As long as you can get past the fact that the ML and FL are "siblings" you should be able to enjoy the novel.

Their isn't any extensive scheming by the FL or anything but the FL snaps when anyone talks sh*t about the ML. Its pretty satisfying to see her make the other person shut up lol. The FL is very straightforward and open especially about her possessiveness with the ML. I actually went into this novel cuz it was tagged as "yandere"... more>> and I wanted to explore that genre but the novel honestly does not fit the "yandere" tag. The FL is pretty possessive but not enough to be labeled as a yandere.

This has the perfect amount of fluff and a good plot. The reason I took away a star was because by the end, I got kinda bored of the novel and just wanted it to finish. So it lost my attention towards the end. Nonetheless, its a good novel to read if you want a break from those 300+ chapter novels or those really plot filled novels. <<less

I am rating this a 3.5 / 5 🌟 for the translation.

Ugggh I managed to finish the whole thing but I feel like I've been reading a narration of a sinner's (in*est) love. I am aware that they are not blood related and they were aware of this fact for more or less 10 years before acknowledging their relationship BUT I just don't feel comfortable.

Have you ever read 'Beware of the brothers'? A korean novel. It has a similar concept but I don't feel uncomfortable reading it at all. I've... more>> been thinking about it. Maybe the reason is because the couple on BOTB is not as touchy and flirty with each other while growing up. The truth about the adoption is also not a secret and was even known as early as when she was brought in. In this novel, however, the FL was brought in and raised as a blood related sibling/daughter of the family. It was only revealed to the elders and core members when she was about 10. And even then, she pretended not to know and everyone also kept it a secret from her so the interactions and mentality of the people around them should be seen as a sibling affection. Unlike Hani (FL of BOTB) and her ML, who never acknowledged each other as siblings and kept their own spaces and distance. Yu Xiang and Yu Pin Yang were different in a way that they grew up together and still ended up that way. It feels a bit like g*ooming and in*est. <<less

Well, that was disturbing. I didn't expect the (fake) in*est element to be used that much and that effectively. But I did enter with an idea of what I'm gonna get so no complaints from me. The story may be unrealistic but the flawed characters are very much alive. I actually disliked everyone in it except for SQY and some supporting characters but I kept reading because they were fascinating (and infuriating).

Anyway, the reason I took off a star was the "monologues" where suddenly a large amount of background story... more>> and information will be fed to the readers to support the scene and the past actions of characters. I considered dropping this in the middle when it gets to the point where it got boring to read those unnecessary yet relatively important monologues—and I'm the type of reader who abhors skimming/skipping parts of the book so I read those word for word.

Also, I saw a comment on one chapter made by a reader saying that if YX didn't die in her original world, she might have crossed the line with her biological brother someday and I very much agree <<less

I love the story. The beginning is top notch. Not the start, the start is a bit disturbing. The twins certainly have ambiguous feelings for each other, especially the brother. So far, I suspected the ML is actually the reincarnation of the twin brother, which is... Disturbing, but ignore that.

My complaint about this novel is while the ML is devoted, he's... How do I say this? He emits the aura of child groomer? I mean, the FL is partially at fault for always sticking to him, but I sometimes have... more>> to skip a certain scene when it becomes too much. He's 20 and the FL is 14. 6 years age gap which is not at alot but... It's a lot when the younger side is below sixteen.

And he could be really frustratingly careless about MC's opinion when it comes to changing their identity from brother-sister to something else. His disregard triggered a fight or flight instinct for me and I pity the real brother of the original body because the ML is a possessive freak for not wanting to have him interact with his biological sister. That point makes me dislike the ML a little bit. Would have been 5/5 if the ML didn't change into a freak around 80+ chapters. Everytime he appears I either sit languidly waiting for a good show or bracing a subtle s*xual harassment from ML to FL

Dude slapped his 14-y/o little sister's bu*t shamelessly (and repeatedly) while knowing fully well she's 14 and not his sister. While the dude is 20/21 already. I'm disturbed.

I think that's all. The ML kinda went a bit downhill but not in an unexpected way. Like, deep down I know he could be like that. So, yup 4/5. Originally it's around 3.5/5 because I'm disturbed with the ML but then I realized I need to be objective.

The author did well to install interesting side characters but rarely showed their lives outside the FL even though their luck is the product of FL's luck. It sucks

It took me 2 days to finished this Absolutely Mind Blowing Hardcore Wild Ride of Rollercoaster Novel! No regret and No disappointment!

That was such a Wild Journey. I honestly still doesn't get the title, though the Yandere wasn't wrong. The story is not exactly like the Summary, but that's most Chinese Novel summary always do. But of course the whole thing in the novel is actually so much Better than the Expectations!!!

Oh the MC is Soooo Vicious but everything she do is within sense of reason. Like she's of course... more>> only being Vicious toward the Deserved people! And she even more sadistic because ML actually teach her to!!! Such thing is so fcking rare I almost think this is my first time read such ML.

Yes, MC is Merciless toward the Deserved People, and so is ML. Even more sad*st and literally would Torture and Kill, no gender differencing in this case! Like I said, he teached our MC to even be more sadistic when necessary to be something necessary!!!

Another unique case in this fic is the Religious. How they used the Buddhism as the Supernatural plot that was so Great to tell the Luck or Unluck of the characters AND the teaching aka how MC used the knowledge of being Wise to Faceslap people with words about what actually right and wrong. Well, beside using Buddhism, all her words is Smart and all her words made people Scared or realise their Mistakes or Anger them because they can't talk back. Yes, our MC is Verbally Smart and as Vicious as her literal physical actions!

How about the relationship between MC and ML? It's Mutual Obsession and Possessiveness alright! I said Obsession but it's actually Purer than that. It's just they're Sooooooo Intimate that feel more than just simple Possessiveness. But it is Purer because their feeling IS Genuine !!! Their feeling growing natural because their closeness. Yes, the development between them is Natural because they chose to be close with each other!

The Supporting Characters, the one who actually Friendly and Good, is Absolutely Great Characters! They're literally part of the Plot that made everything Great!!!

Seriously this Novel is Satisfying! The Faceslapping is Satisfying. The Characters is Great! Even when things are Intense, the flow of the plots is Sooo Good!!! All the Solution is Satisfying! And the Ending is Also Satisfying!!!

Lots of Moments is Hardcore than usual Novel, but I Enjoyed it A Lot!!! I Love this Novel Sooooo Much than I would ever Expect! With All My Heart and My Soul and My Eternal Love for the Eternity and Beyond! <<less

I think this was a reasonably interesting read. You Xiang was hilarious at times, moving at others and when she was being brazen I had to look the other way. I skipped the smutty scenes because those aren't my thing.

I kind of would have like to have read as an extra or maybe a spinoff: how her brother in our world went on with his life.
