Even though MC and ML are not related, they grew up together since infancy and had believed themselves to be blood-related. The granny in the novel forbade their marriage for that reason.

Way too many dumb cannon fodder villains. Their only purpose is to be annoying and get faceslapped and nothing else. Also, I feel like a lot of them could be easily handled, but it takes a while to get rid of them. I actually like antagonists as long as they are well-written, but these people are so braindead it's astonishing.

The pampering came too fast. I was hoping for some slow buildup there was literally none. ML's archetype is the cold type, even if there's a lifesaving grace, how could he change his attitude this fast? Normally you can repay benefactors by giving them a good life and treating them politely/well. His affection came too easily for my liking

The supernatural bond between MC and ML is never explained. I actually thought it might be because of her previous life and her great relationship with her twin brother, but you kind of just have to guess. Her previous life never gets mentioned again even in the extras.

Also kind of a pet peeve of mine is golden fingers. I really dislike how protagonists can get special abilities out of nowhere. Being reborn in the apocalypse and getting a space. Transmigrating and having an invincible level up system. Super tr*shy and cheap. Similarly, MC's golden finger is a green thumb; she can grow literally any plant easily even if it's not their natural habitat. It does get used a bit for plot purposes, but nothing too crazy at least.

Side characters that had some potential weren't used that much. I feel like the 9th princess was only written as a way for MC to get the favor of the royal family. Also the 3rd of their merry trio is barely in the story! I thought she might get some kickass action scene but she just helps MC smacktalk some random hoes. Really wish she did more.

Villains so s*upid that I genuinely felt happy for the sister to finally gain some bit of intelligence after being slapped by MC.

Whenever MC and ML would make out they would still address each other as elder brother and younger sister in their minds or the author's narration that it simply made me uncomfortable. Adding to that, I felt ML was simply too creepy when MC got period and he kept saying "I have long awaited this day" and was even tempted *cough* to smell the blood on his sleeves ughhh.

ML was too selfish, especially when he said "I will return you to your brother 3 days before our wedding" that I felt bad for the brother of MC's original Shen family, he just didn't deserve his entire family to be killed by that girl.

The FL is 15 years old while the ML is 21 and he's been lusting over her even before she turned 15 and got her period. Plus, he repeatedly told her that he's been waiting for her to have her period and was just overall creepy af when he became more blatant in showing his s*xual attraction to her. Also, the pseudo-in*est vibes really turned me off.

My main problem with the novel would be the original girl that the MC replaced. At chapter 60~ she will return and cause so many problems in the Yu Manor that it was laughable to have her still around. She did get her retribution at the very end, but that's after like 4-5 major f*ck ups that she did. Also, her character is so rotten that it's quite hard to believe that someone like her could actually exist.

But I guess that's what makes the MC all the holier in the reader's eyes. Ah, the MC even has this ungodly luck which is only possible in novels, so I had to turn my brain off for those parts. I mean, one plant that she casually raised managed to save the Crown Princess' life and her blessing made the Crown Princess bear twins of the opposite gender.

There are also no side characters that would divert the main two characters attention away. The MC and male lead a totally devoted to one another and that's a treat to see. Therefore, if you can ignore all those unbelievable aspects, the story is well worth your time.

The unexpected sense of sympathizing with one another was felt by the Empress after she heard those words, she grabbed the Old Madam’s hand and patted reassuringly, “You are right to actually be able to think this way! They are basically different from other people and shouldn’t be treated by using the methods of others to guide them. There is already too much inconvenience and tribulation in their life therefore they shouldn’t be imposed with more burdens. Just let them live happily.”

- the redemption of the shu elder sister. In every other novel, characters like this would be cannon fodder but I really enjoyed her character arc and ending.

- the consensual s*x scenes. no more dubcon with lots of crying and pain. FL put it best: “it’s not just you who wants to eat me, but I also want to eat you”

- the little scenes detailing what happened originally in the story were nice touches.
