Suddenly, the unmarried twenty-year-old Ye Zhizhou had many more relatives, yet it was too late for him to clearly understand the circumstances as he nearly died in a car accident. After that, he somehow managed to survive and was even forcibly bound to a Salvation System.

How is it salvation?

Harems destroy worlds! Preventing a harem will save them!

. . . .

Ok, prevent harems. After seeing the entire system introduction, the corners of Ye Zhizhou’s mouth twitched. In order to return home safely, he decisively began his risky journey, he’d just treat it as if he was playing a large-scale strategy game.

Since then, the people the protagonist would rescue, he rescued first. The businesses the protagonist would make, he made first. The little brother the protagonist would take in, he took in first. The cliff the protagonist would jump off of, he jumped off of first. The gay s*x the protagonist would have, he’d have. . . . Wait wait, can’t do this one, change it, let me change it.

???: No, you can do this one.

Ye Zhizhou (alarmed): Who’s speaking?

???: Your husband.

Ye Zhizhou: . . . .

I'm obsessed with this story! I enjoy how the protagonist slowly unravels the plots given to him by the system and how he handles the MCs and diverse MLs in missions. I also appreciate the romance between the protagonist and his lover as it's not the main focus of the story but it's still key point that allows me (personally as the reader) to enjoy the woos of romance and love despite the multiple twists, lies, betrayals, and human s*um that appear throughout the entire series.

Edit: ML falls fast and is a huge golden finger for MC. Even without him, his own golden finger is very very big. There's just about no suspense because every situation is easily handled. MLs are overbearing and don't accept rejections. Literally their bed-rolling is basically r*pe, except the MC becomes softhearted and goes "well since he wants it enough to drug me multiple times and paralyze me temporarily as I scream no, just give it to him". In the end, there was a bit of a confrontation because ML... more>> tried to build a golden cage for MC to not see anybody but him but then ML pushed MC into bed and it was all happy ever after. The golden finger-ness slightly gets better in later arcs, and I will say the plot twists are always fun, but I really can't like ML.

Characters: 4/5

MC and the system are pretty funny together. MC has moments when he becomes very smart, and unravels the entire mystery in pretty much one go. ML... I feel like he really wasn't worth mentioning in any worlds other than the first two lol, he's just "very powerful", "very possessive", and "loves him at first sight". I wish this had more romance in it honestly, every time the ML just falls for him immediately and MC reciprocates immediately after he realizes it's his lover. I wish it were something like only MC knows he's the lover, and he has to win ML over every time (and maybe ML would be the protagonist or doting male lead #1 or something).

My biggest problem with this story is the "protagonist" always ends up being a bad guy! Why can't he actually be a good guy who is protagonist-worthy?? In fact, sometimes I feel like they're not actually bad but end up being bad after being oppressed by MC at every turn; especially the actress and An Chengjie. Reading their stories, you would definitely feel bad for them, but then they end up twisted from dealing with MC and all. Edit: Later on this becomes less of an issue because the protagonists turned out to be bad from the start.

Plot: 4.8/5

Definitely a story driven by the plot and drama as the MC goes through all kinds of situations in each world trying to unravel the mystery behind the protagonist's "true" circumstances (every time, things are not what they seem, especially with the zombie situation and the kidnapped child). Quite interesting, and since they can just move on to the next world after one story ends, none of the stories feel like they're dragging on unreasonably. Pacing is consistent and good; the first story feels a little like slice of life at the beginning, almost like preparing the reader haha. They were definitely all interesting and original scenarios due to the unique perspective of our MC and the whole "hidden situation" of the protagonist.

Writing: 4/5

In the beginning it was decent but at some point it became clearly MTL-edited, although it got better after that. Nothing special about the original writing (or maybe the use of literary prose wasn't able to replicated after translation), but besides that period of clear MTL-ing no real mistakes. Thanks to the translator!

All in all, interesting and worth a read. <<less

I wasn't sure of what to expect from this one, and to be honest I was a bit confused the first five chapters but that was bc I have never read a Chinese novel ╮ (︶︿︶) ╭ but it quickly caught my interest.

So far, the current arc is my fav, though I like more the members of the harem than the ML lololol Liang Ping is such a sweetie! O (≧▽≦) o?

I really appreciate a story like this when it's written well. Too often you have transmigration stories that completely demonize and destroy certain characters just to make the protag look good. So far, a lot of the more benign antagonists have ended up redeemed in their own ways, finding a happy story in the background that isn't based on hurting others. I like it when an author treats their characters with kindness.

I really like this author. How should I put it..... Their character actually have believable action. It's like I can potray it as a film in my head.

The story is face paced but I didn't feel like I was cheated. Author told us what need to be told.

And I really like the MC. He's not only kind but just.

A fun comedic light novel, a cleanser palate if you will after reading too many tragedies.

MC has to go around and destroy every harem the protagonists are destined to gather otherwise that world will fall into ruin.

Spoiler

I did feel a little bit of pity for all the protagonists since MC mercilessly crushes them under his heel.

The author is kind enough to give the protagonists a decent happy end. So it's not a total blood bath.

[collapse]

I also like the Soulmate angle this has going on where ML always finds MC.

Spoiler

The possessiveness can get a bit creepy but hey I've read worse.

First arc's problem for me is that MC's legal guardian falls in love with MC despite being just 17, and mol*sts him. Thankfully nothing sexual, but if someone doesn't want you feeling them up and smooching, you gotta stop. You're his guardian.

Third arc was also a bit iffy but MC emphasized that he wouldn't touch ML who is a minor at the time. ML does try to take advantage of MC on more than one occassion but never succeeded until they were both finally of age and soon married afterwards.

[collapse]

The System is unreliable but a little adorable. They do try to help MC with a few things here and there.

Because the unreliable info the System provides, the involved characters tend to show unexpected quirks and personalities. It keeps the story fresh and interesting. <<less

At chapter 35 currently, I can say I am enjoying this novel a lot. While similar to FOD in transmigrating and wanting to derail the plot, it's funny to see MC having to destroy the harems specifically.

The only thing I find myself disliking is how easily MC was bent, especially when looking at the description of the novel, that made it sound like it might take several worlds for MC to accept ML... I feel like that part shouldn't be in the description, because it is simply misleading. Other than... more>> that, I totally recommend this novel! <<less

Heee~ eventhough the plot is somewhat the same as some other transmigration novel.. I find it a good read as well~ So far I really like how the plot is somewhat too ridiculous that it's funny~ I especially love the second arc... Ouyang Zhi is too cute~! Too bad he's not permanent character~

It's a good novel.

The starting is a bit slow and, if I'm being honest, I had to restart. But once you get to the 3rd arc, things really pick up. Just make it through the first and you'll enjoy it a lot more.

Towards the end, it actually becomes a good read, and you can see the author seems to put more effort into world-building and plot writing. The final arc was my favorite; things really came together during that one. That said, the start made it impossible for me to... more>> give this 5 stars. Plus, in the end, it's really just a good story and not something stellar.

I genuinely do recommend if you like BL, fast/quick wear, and want a fairly easy read. This checks all of those boxes and more. If you're looking for anything deep that will make you think or have strong emotions, this isn't the story for you. I doubt I'll even remember much of the plot after a few months. <<less

What an interesting qt novel! I love the twist in each arc. You do have to be really patient and use logic to understand the translations - there are some names that get switched in the translation, a couple misplaced paragraphs, one out of place chapter, and one section that I'm pretty sure was just completely missing. There's 2 arcs that were especially confusing - one because both the protagonist and the MC had the same name translated into pinyin (why would you do that to us author?! It also... more>> had a super complicated plot so the name conflict just added extra knots for my poor brain to try and untangle) ; the other had a matriarchal society where women were the ones in power, but the author or translator then associated the ones in power with masculine terms that confused the story. Also, be prepared for incorrect pronouns and names in general - it makes figuring out who did what especially confusing in some of the arcs with more twisty plots.

All this aside, the translation is still very readable (in my opinion) and the stories are so good. If you want face slapping, you got it. If you want doting lover but an MC who still uses his brain even after he has (multiple) golden finger (s), you got it as well.

If I were to tie a moral to this story, it is not to take multiple chance friendships/romances with powerful people at face value. Once might be a coincidence, or a fairy tale, but over and over, in all different scenarios, hints at something fishy going on. And someone who just happens to develop ambiguous relationships that benefit them greatly are probably not preserving that relationship with completely pure motives. It's such an interesting perspective - obviously fictionalized, but I think it's a moral that translates well to real life. Nothing is free in life, there are some genuinely nice people, but there are also many who are just marketing themselves as nice.

Another interesting moral is how hard it is to predict knock-on effects. Sometimes, what might seem like a happy ending, or a great outcome, has a dark side or unpredictable side effects. I don't think this is an excuse to overanalyze and become paralyzed with fear of what might happen, but I think it's a good lesson to always be humble and not assume you know what is unequivocally right or wrong. Many things need time to play out. And many times, the conflict and fighting over what is right can cause more damage than if everyone compromised.

The one thing I thought didn't come across very well was when the author tried to push the mc/ML into arguing their way into a "healthy" relationship. I agree with her premise that intense jealousy and shielding one person from all possible dangers is a sign of distrust, and honestly, if it was reality, might be indicative of an overly controlling partner. However, in this story, the argument and reaction regarding this felt a bit forced and out of the blue. I guess it's still a good lesson - a relationship is best as a partnership, and shouldn't have inexplicable jealousy.

Overall, I really like the arcs, the plot twists, the intelligent MC, and great cast of side characters. <<less

This is not a 'heavy' type of novel, but somehow it took me a long time to finish this story..

If Erha made my heart ache when I read it, this story actually made me feel tired... It's not really long, but it's quite 'dense'...

This is definitely not a light and sweet story. But I can say that this story is solid and sexy. The strong characters of MC and ML are really a plus for this story..

Perfect and complete translation. Really the translator did it very well.. Thank you very... more>> much 🫶🫶

This type of story has an arc, one of the types of stories that I like. This is the reason that makes me categorize this story as a 'dense' story.

A worthy story for those who like stories with wide and complex space structures.. <<less

I underestimated this novel. Each arc look quite brainless at the start, then the true color of each world's protagonist was revealed and it gave a new meaning to MC and ML existence.

My most remembered arc was probably the apocalypse world. Original protagonist role was so out of the box I got curious to read more. Every arc after that serves me with even more unique background story and I got hooked till the end.

Definitely one of the more unique QT stories out there.

As most qt are, its like reading loads of short stories in one book.

Though I really like the MC and his system, the ML was a bit questionable though. Not in bad way HAHA. He's too mysterious and the clues along the way will make you want to know the back story in the end, immediately.

QT genres really have a weakness, the long chapters, the weird plot and plot twist, crazy protagonists, summarized in one word- tiring.

... more>> And the rest of the chapters in mtl--- my goodness🙃

Since the MTLese chapters will slowly make be dumb, I will put this on hold for now. I really want to know the ending though🤔 <<less

For me this is a hidden gem.

What I like the most about this story is that original MaleLeads/FemaleLeads who are supposed to be in harm didn't fall in love with our MC. Most of them found their fated ones and live happily or some follow their dream and do what they want to do.

The story arcs are interesting and, unlike most of QT novels, it's hard to guess what's going to happen because information provided by system is whitewashed version of stories so it's somehow unreliable.

I'm not finished yet so... more>> maybe I'll update my review later.

Edit after completed: this is one of the best QT novel I've read in recent years. No idea why there's so many bad reviews in here. <<less

Too fast paced even for a QT I'd say. There are times when the MC would just mention a random name (of the supposed target of the protagonist) or tell his friends to accompany him to a "random" place where the protagonist had a fruitful encounter and they'd just follow.

He also takes out random pills and feeds in like every world and no one thinks there's anything wrong. Like I understand the ML being this way because he's completely whipped but what about the other characters? Do they not have... more>> even a little bit of fearing the unknown and trying to investigate where all his informations come from?

The MC is just sloppy, not coming up with reasons at all. It's like everyone but the ML is s*upid when it comes to the MC.

Other than that, I like the MC a lot. He's adorable and powerful enough. Although it's baffling the way he puts up with the ML (like in that ancient China world).

Truly, a yandere is my favourite but there's always a limit. It sucks that MC would make some plan but the ML would just interfere and f*ck it all up. And then help him complete the mission "his way".

I've adored many yandere MLs but this one I sometimes can't put up with. However, I've seen the reviews saying he tones down his possessiveness in later arcs? That'd be perfect!

The couple is somewhat similar to heroic death system!

I hope the MC of this one would also devise ways to deal with his crazed bouts of possessiveness.

And and I love how the MC is so powerful but the plots of the arcs are as such that he needs to exert a lot! And in a few arcs I've noticed the ML going out of control and handling everything for the MC? I hope that doesn't become a habit going forwards, that might suck😭😭

PS: okay I'm quite far into the story.. So more than romance/yaoi it's mystery solving. It's brilliant really. But I mean.. Why does the system give a flawed plot anyway? Not that I'm complaining, just confused as to the reason behind it.

All in all, it's an awesome twist to the usual QT novels, definitely worth a read <<less

It only took one arc to understand where every negative review was coming off. The fast pace in QT novels are expected but holy hell, it takes one single action of a lowered head to spark the ML's interest? Easy as pie.

It's hard to continue through when all this MC has is one clear pathway laid out for him. His issues with his enemies were solved so damn fast your left with wondering, What? How? And When? Bai character stood no chance, felt as if the Author forcefully moulded her... more>> into the villainess role where you had no choice but to dislike her. Almost every character felt bland, the MC and ML included. To be very honest, I held more interest in the Yang Wei character alone.

I know some would say "well you should've kept going, things improve." No. I don't want to have to force myself to continue through, The first arc should've been the hook, line and sinker. You want to attract readers in? Do it in the first arc.

These issues were probably caused by the translation because it felt like I was reading the MTL version. Maybe this is the reason why I had issues with the 17 chapters I went through. Who knows? All I can say is, not for me. If you want to give it a go, go ahead. Happy reading <<less

The fact that the protagonist's weren't all good people were really a good twist and the fact that the plot the MC was given was more like a beautified version in the protagonist's view was soooo fun to read.

One problem I had however that kept me from giving 5 stars was...

The ML. I really didn't like the ML tbh, he kept getting in the way of MC trying to do his missions which I noticed and the author did point it out in the story and it just rubbed me the wrong way?
