Qi Le – gender: male, s*xual interest: women – suffered from cong**ital heart disease and died early. However, God played a small trick on him and placed his soul inside the body of a tr*shy shou.

From then on, the gates of a new world were opened.

When Qi Le opened his eyes, he found himself still lying in the hospital, but there was a small problem.

Everyone helped clear up his confusion: “You’re gay.”

Qi Le: “……”

Everyone: “You’re a 0, which means you’re the one on the bottom.”

Qi Le: “Bullshit! Laozi is a straight man!”

Everyone stepped forward to pat him on the shoulder: “Forget it, all the men in the world can turn straight, but not you.”

Qi Le shook with anger: “We’ll see about that!”

Everyone reminded him: “Everyone knows about your confession, everyone knows that you’re gay. Which girl would be willing to date you ah?”

Qi Le: “=口=”

There's a lot more gays in this world than I'm used to and I like it a lot more than I expected I would. The MC is turned gay gradually and is rather dense instead of transmigrating and immediantly returning feelings which I really like. It feels more realistic like that. The only thing I feel like should be changed is how transmigration was just accepted when it was found out instead of trying to rationalize it. But, I guess that's what made the story funny so, I'm not complaining.

This is the funniest BL novel I've ever read XD. If you like comedy, smart MC, loyal ML, a s*umbag that will get his retribution, and a whole lot of crazy side characters that has weird nicknames (cuz the author is too lazy to name them XD), then this novel is perfect for you!

What a disappointment honestly, it starts off as a very lighthearted comedy that should not be taken seriously. And if you read it with this mindset it actually does its job at humoring you. This world has in fact gone crazy and became a theater of the absurd with incredible, exciting situations and completely implausible reactions and coincidences. Comedy bordering on satire.

However, the later chapters are so boring and generic, the story becomes a bit worse than your average BL extremely heteronormative couples where the top calls the bottom his... more>> wife and “her” and disregards every time the later doesn’t give consent for s*x since a "woman’s no is basically a yes". Where the bottoms are just doormats that are used for s*x only and have nothing going for them otherwise.

It becomes gradually harder to perceive this story as comedy because it stops being funny and genuinely becomes what it was mocking at the beginning. The amount of obvious r*pe, stalking, and domestic violence in this story is off the charts, and to make matters worse, it's described in a "comedic" and "light-hearted" manner something that I simply couldn't ignore and write off as humor. The whole story is focused on going in circles about how the tops are trying to find a way to f*ck the bottoms, and the later try resist and escape. The “rape”, “s*xual ab*se” and “yandere” tags here are NOT to be ignored. It’s not funny, not humorous, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. If only I could go back in time, I’d suggest myself to drop it around chapter 20, where it started going downhill.

This novel has a terrible case of “everyone is gay”, it’s a BL I know I know but the only straight characters in the whole story are LITERALLY only MCs parents and that’s all. Take that as you wish but in my opinion that’s quite extreme. There are like 10 side couples that for love of God I couldn’t not care for. So many side characters and they’re all so bland and one-dimensional, not developed in any way, without any clear closure. Makes you wonder why did the author even add them to the story. Why make 20 unexciting characters with no character development or plotline whatsoever just make 2-3 actually interesting ones.

Unfortunately, I can’t give it more than 2 stars. 1 star for the whole story and 1 star as a bonus for the first 20 chapters that were actually fun and entertaining. It had a lot of potential to be a humorous, funky and a bit messy story but turned into some bizarre uncomfortable equivalent of an old man telling you a r*pe joke and you forcing a smile trying to find a way to escape. Yeah, it's a weird analogy, but it pretty much sums up my experience with this novel. <<less

Kind of wacky LIKE LITERALLY WACKY dont expect any sort of seriousness here

tbh the first like 15 chapters I just flew through because the author is really emphasizing the fact that everyone around MC is crazy. I only got on the humor train around 20 something chapters

but after they got together and the family knew it got boring like everything is just redundant and kind of unrealistic. Like the most annoying thing is the one where the doctor is chasing them?? And it was obvious that he was unknowledgeable at... more>> all?? I mean he should be sued for malpractice the fudge.

also the part where the ogbody's admirer contacted the doctor and forced MC to get treatment when he was not at all related to MC. Why didnt MC get mad? After that it was known to most everyone that MC had multiple personality disorder. Thats very slandering considering that it would means since MC was in college, he would have a hard time finding a job in the future?? Like everyone just accepted it and MC had no chance to defend himself. It was freaking annoying

i stayed but when he started to get "treatment" it was annoying me cuz he just wanted to do it to get everybody off his back when he really wasnt sick at all. I mean after he gets "cured" the dumb doctor would then feel like he accomplished something and try to do what he did to other patients who were actually sick. And that annoys the hell out of me.

it was funny I guess if u dont take it seriously. I mean I ignored a lot of the other wacky things and just accepted them. The cat was cute. ML was cute. But the doctor really just pissed me off <<less

Giving this a 5 star to bump up the ratings but it's more of a 4.5 tbh. It's f*cking hilarious once you turn your brain off and ignore the non con vibes. Friendly reminder that this is all fiction so authors should be able to write what they want and depict topics in whatever way they feel like. It's your decision to read their work anyway despite seeing the tags, so stop complaining about it in your review afterwards.

The plot and characters are beautiful. I liked MC's personality and his background story as well as the ML Initially, I was thinking that Ning Xiao was the ML, so yeah, her is not the ML so yall can rest yall frail hearts.

The side characters are so funny and okay.

It's just that I felt bored and had to skip the remaining 10-15 chapters towards the end. But still the ending is plausible and HE.

This novel is so funny that my stomach hurts due to all laughing.

There is nothing like r*pe or forced s*x as mentioned more like in some cases done due to mutual needs.

But if you want to laugh till tears come out try this one.

It's good, trust me. The story that got picked up by Chrysanthemum Garden is never dissapoint you. Ignore the low rating from people. Let me give you a bit of spoiler :

1. The ML is Gu Bai, not Ning Xiao.

2. At first, Gu Bai didn't know that Xiaoyu is Qie Le, later, he found out some clues and determined by asking Yi Hang the truth. I guess it takes 7 or 12 chapter?

3. MC (QL) didn't know that Gu Bai already found out about him, but later, he found... more>> out because GB has been kissing him while he's still awake and realize that GB pretending to not know the truth.

4. Ning Xiao will fall in love with QL, he confessed in chap 72 I guess.

What else...... well, that's it. About the r*pe, there's only one r*pe, but it ended up happy lol, the r*pe troupe is between Yu Sichuan and Zhang... (?) I forgot the name haha. They become lovers btw.

About GB planning to "ate" QL (some of the reviewers take it as plan to r*pe) it's failed lol, and he always asking for consent to QL, even though he can just pounce on him so you can't really take it as planned r*pe, it's just eat tofu in the end, and it's not like GB didn't know that QL has a feeling for him.

Btw there's a lot of GAY GAY GAY COUPLES EVERYWHERE HAHA. Btw, QL' ex gf is really kind, you shouldn't blacken her. <<less

Actually this is a good novel, but for some reason I'm more interested in the second pair Yi Hang and Lu Yanbin their story is sweet and funny, I was worried that the Qi Le went back in time but it was just a dream, a happy ending for all couples, and if there was a special story for the second couple I will definitely read it?

This novel is really interesting and hilarious. I think the one in the review section who said about s*x and r*pe got the wrong novel here. This novel doesn't have r*pe or forcing in the lastest chapters and I don't think there will be one in the future. I might be wrong though. Anyway, MC is smart and he can solves his problems on his own. The comedy in the novel is good too. You will know when you read it.

I've read this twice and been impressed both times. It's uncommon for multiple transmigrators to encounter each other, so the premise of several at once trying to keep the secret together while figuring out their original lives is interesting. It's also uncommon for people to reunite with friends and family from before they died– that was a strong point of Professional Body Double as well.

It's also zany, humorous, action-packed, has a well-developed protagonist who doesn't take any sh*t and is good at threading info together, and cartoonishly over-the-top side characters,... more>> loving family and supportive friends.

There's some smut but not particularly kinky or spicy, the kissing is a bit dull in its repetition of dominance, but I definitely buy the mutual care of MC and ML. Emotions are solid, even the more stoic characters have clear goals and feelings. Qi Le specifically remembering punching out after having his first kiss stolen in contrast with how his defenses aren't up at all with his good friend was compelling support for being open to a relationship with him.

Really shines in the humor and worldbuilding of the social setting, definitely enjoyable to revisit and share as long as you're not brand new to BL! This goofy novel is quite self-aware about not being a guide for relationships, it's disingenuous to claim it's misrepresenting anything. <<less

Crack novel with crack characters that made me laugh many times with their nonsense. MC transmigrates into someone else in his same world and finds out his childhood friend has had feelings for him all along.

Second re-read! Slightly less entertaining than the first time (bumped down to Almost Favourites) but still very enjoyable.

Yes, there are a lot of convenient happenings and plot points and things that aren't really explained but it's not really a novel that requires that.

What makes this novel work is the whacky side characters and h**ny gongs... more>> (yes, everyone is gay trope). The chemistry between the MC and ML was great and sizzling (some very good (pre&) smut scenes) and although the push & pull from MC is on the verge of being annoying, he's still intelligent enough that it still somehow works alongside the whole crazy social circle dynamic. There was even a random high tension in danger plot that still managed to carry the lighthearted tone of the novel.

My one personal irk is the constant use of "wife" not just in nickname/speech but actual terminology for the gongs' partners. Somehow I don't find it endearing. I do like the "husband" calling though, lol.

A very easy fun read. <<less

WHY DO SOME OF Y'ALL STRAIGHT UP IGNORE TAGS AND THEN LEAVE LOW RATED REVIEWS AND COMPLAIN?

I really think this is 4 stars, but giving it 5 stars because of others being ignorant about tags.

If you don't like some of the characters, story arcs, ending, etc., then those are valid complaints. You see the tags listed for a novel and then proceed to complain about the tags showing up?! That is ignorant and s*upid and your review is only broadcasting that to the rest of us.

Now onto the novel, it... more>> has the chaotic humor that I'm a fan of. I laughed several times with this one. It's not PC and there are some dark elements, but both are played for comedy. I liked how crazy and weird so many of the characters were. There are many characters in this novel, so there were some that didn't show up as much towards the end. That could be a plus or minus depending on how someone feels about these characters. I really liked the MC. He's a firecracker that can handle his own among the chaos. If you've seen the tags and don't mind them and want a wild, silly comedy then give this a try. <<less

Dropped

So I wasn't planning on giving a review but wow this story is bad.

So it starts off great, I absolutely love the humor in the first third of the story. Then we begin to focus on the 'romance' aspect and the author loses steam.

Characters become annoying, some become super creepy and r*pey, and others become lifeless.

Then we are introduced to more weird and annoying characters who only seem to worsen the plot.

Spoiler

The premise of his 'ex' falling for him is poorly handled, the multiple personalities arch is annoying, everyone believes in transmigration a little too easily, and what's up with forcing people to have s*x using alcohol and aphrodisiacs?

[collapse]

Another thing that annoyed me was the lack of names for characters for most of the story. The nicknames given weren't even amusing (right off the bat one character is nicknamed Tranny)

I give it a three for the first third and for the translator, they really worked hard.

tldr; the first third was crack treated seriously and then it just went into dub/non-con treated with crack. Disappointed actually. <<less

Rating : 2.5

If you are looking for a reason to read this novel then don't read my review. I don't recommend this novel.

This 2.5 is only for initial 1/3rd of the novel.

... more>> All it is about how to get into other's pants. No matter the means. It has many gay couples and all of them is like this.

Even the ML who is portrayed as gentleman by MC turns out this way later. I found the side couples more interesting than the main CP.

Got irritated and dropped it even after completing almost 80% of the novel.

Comedy is overrated.

Smut is also not explicit. <<less

Pros:

    • Incredibly hilarious. The MC schemes constantly, and there are tons of interesting side characters.
    • There are also a bunch of side couples that get screen time during the main story instead of being shoved into the extras.
Cons:

    • None of the relationships in the novel would pass a consent sniff-test. None of them. The consent is dubious at best.
    • One of the characters is referred to as "Tranny" for most of the novel, which is... not great. Maybe it was less offensive in Chinese, idk.
