That's a great story dont miss it. I really enjoyed it. Shen qiao is really great I love everything about him especially his forward attitude, he is a very lovly upright man and yan wushi is very cunning and interesting loved them together and their relationship leter on became very funny as yan wushi keep teasing shen qiao. I wish I can give this story more than 5 stars I really enjoyed it and well miss it alot

Well-written and interesting plot-driven story. High-wuxia, lots of fight scenes and martial arts terms. Very slow-developing though, not what I'm looking for right now. Will probably pick up again some other time.

HOLY sh*t THIS GOOD.

I'm about to watch the animation bc I need more MORE.

My thoughts about this is it really deserves a 10/10. Obviously it's not perfect but I can't see the imperfections.

I dont want to write too long of a review but, overall the relationship of Yan Wushi and Shen Qiao (so far, , I'm still waiting for the extras to update) has been great. I loved seeing it evolve from ' I want to see you go apes hit and fall into evil' to 'I enjoy seeing you... more>> succeed more'

That in itself was perfect. I love enemies to lovers. Although this wasnt really enemies to lovers and AHHHRRRG I was so pissed off everytime Yan Wushi did something scummy. I thougu he could never redeem himself.

Shen Qiao saved Yanwushi from death twice, , and the second was heart wrenching. I'm so glad they've come to an understanding. Although I'm awaiting more steamy moments and some soft yan wushi

By far the best reward to reading this was seeing the previously blackhearted ML open his heart to Shen Qiao and wholeheartedly want him. AHHHHH IT WAS AMAZING. <<less

There is nothing that I can say that hasn’t been said by all those reviewers who gave this novel 5⭐️Rating. From the first sentence to the very last sentence, this novel captured my heart. Translation is excellent. I’m grateful to all the translators. I’m hoping some kind translator can translate chapters 86-90 that is missing or tell me where I can read that. 🙏❤️🌹

I love this novel so much and it's so fun to read!!! The ML gives me a 'daddy' vibes tho he's not old, lol. I love the MC and the ML and their interactions are cute. This novel is also realistic and not the type of 'love at first sight' so their ending really satisfies me.

So complex and deep. As others mentioned already, SQ is someone to admire, going through so many hardships but basically remaining the same warmhearted and righteous person is truly remarkable. The complexity of the story makes it hard to read but it's worth it, we all can learn from it.

One of my all time favorite BL novel. Waiting for the remaining chapters.

Not much romance and fluff but the plot was so interesting, though it had some deep politics things going on..

A once in a blue moon treasure that is enchanting, engaging and addictive.

Initially, I was a bit hesitant to start this novel as I had read some 'not-so-good' spoilers about the ML's personality. I was not sure if I could like a character with a personality as of Yan Wushi's but man was I wrong. Not only did I like him but I fell absolutely in love with him. And to be pretty honest, the personalities of the characters in this novel is what made me obssessed with this work.... more>> I just loved how everyone in the novel was flawed in one or the other way which made them seem more realistic than those 'just too perfect' leads in some other works.

First, our MC, Shen Qiao, his weakness was that he was too kind and trusted everyone very easily letting his guard down which often resulted in him getting betrayed and taken advantage of. But of course we have this amazing character development of his. From a person who knew nothing about the world outside his sect and the schemes of the people, he gradually evolves into someone who, still caring and gentle but can see through others easily and despite falling to the lowest, rises again and proves himself worthy gaining (literally most of the people in the novel 's) respect. Shen Qiao is the character that I honestly look up to the most out of all the novels I've read in my life. Now, our ML, Yan Wushi, the thing I love the most about him is probably his confidence (and his reasoning abilities, of course XD). I won't say much about him since I want everyone to explore his character themselves, the only thing I would mention is that a person like Yan Wushi feels much more real than those 'yandere at first sight' or 'overly caring' ML's of other works and maybe that's the reason I like him much more despite all his awful deeds. And it was so satisfying to see a person as mighty and arrogant as our Yan-lang fall in love ♡_♡

It is not huge on the romance (they do flirt thorough the novel, you will see what I mean once you read the novel)

The MC is a strong, kind, not without flaws and a very determined person. The ML is bad, opportunistic and sometimes sadistic, but smart and capable. This novel teaches us that kindness doesn't make you weak.

I absolutely adore the couple. Just read the story please. Like the story is ok to read even for who don't like the genre. There's intimate actions but not so much in detail. The plot itself & all the character development is so good. There were some parts where even I was so conflicted, painful moments I thought why is ML holding on, why be so kind still. Was a slow start and many characters are introduced for the first ten over chapters but gradually the momentum builds up and the story pulls you in. Might not be everyone's cup of tea as author focuses quite abit on the politics, but it's nothing too heavy (yet).

The dynamic of MC and ML is pretty unique, they are essential 2 ends of a pole. Orthodox sect (MC) vs unorthodox sect (ML). Their views clashes as they banter about the inherent nature of humans.

The naive and good hearted... more>> MC experiences various betrayals and trials and his belief system gets shaken. While the cold ML gets immense joy seeing the MC suffer— the ML truly bullies the MC a lot.

Overall an interesting read so far. <<less

Witholding a rating because it's still very early. At 8 chapters, I'm still rather confused about which characters will be sticking around. Most series make it quite clear who the protagonist is, and it's easy to identify the deuteragonist (i.e. The main love interest). Within the first few chapters, my interpretation of both roles changed several times.

This series seemed to have a very interesting premise, but is meandering along rather than having an actual direction. If it continues this way, I would give it 3/5 stars for being "okay."

Right until the end, I was waiting for ML redemption arc.

At the end, I finally saw that there would be none.

After everything that bastard ML did to MC, I can't believe we're letting him off the hook.

... more>> Also the ending was beyond baffling. It didn't make sense, and some strange cultivation terms tried to explain it, but frankly - what? It felt a bit rushed also.

ML didn't deserve MC in the slightest, and I adored our MC right until he forgave ML for the most diabolical, villain origin story level stuff. Why, man...

All in all MC is a fawn, and ML is a wolf. Those are the character archetypes, with MC being a strong but gentle type, and ML being a strong and sociopathic type, I couldn't see the chemistry. Not to mention ML never properly atones for all his crimes against not only MC but a lot of people.

The ending... Mehhhhh. XD

That's it folks, I was disappointed this time. <<less

This is one of those amazing great novels that you'll forever remember and search for other novels that give u the same happiness but can't find anything else as this novel is one of it's own kind. What a journey this novel was! I'm so glad I've finally finished reading it lol. Tbh I was still patient enough till the end of the main story and even after reading the extras & weibo short extras but then there were also traditional book extra, simplified extra and wat not! And that was my limit. Even tho I've read everything now, like all the extras and mini extras and everything, tbh the sigh of relief I gave after finally finishing them was just... Phew! I was rushing to complete them all (´⊙ω⊙`)

Anyway, now let's talk about the story and how I found it. I feel if I compare this to "Peerless" I like peerless more. This story was good but at the same time somewat tiring to read too. But ig I can't really blame the tiring part, it requires full attention cause of the martial arts elements but still I think I was less tired while reading peerless? Idk for sure but that's wat I feel.

I like yan wushi, he's a very interesting character. But ofc if we talk about his earlier behavior he's scum. In the story one memorable moment of satisfaction that I still remember rn is chen gong's death! I was over that b*tch, I was so happy when he died. And the part that really saddens me is yu ai's death. I hated his at first but then in the last chapter where he died I had started liking him, so yeah that was painful.

Aside from this, I don't think I have anything else to say anymore. I feel rather exhausted rn and just wanna be done with thousand autumns, I'm not saying I don't like the story, like I previously said, reading all the extras just completely drained me. So yeah, even writing this review is somewhat tiring. So I am just done for now.

All in all, the story is nice enough and I'm glad that I've read it. This story comes in the "one of the popular danmeis list" so yeah I'm glad that now, I too can say I've read it.

Falling in love with Yan Wushi from the donghua, then read the novel along with the donghua side by side, which is an interesting experience. There is a deep dao philosophy here and deep life lessons to be learned.

Yan Wushi is Yan Wushi and he's not becoming a good person at the end. He's still the same but you get to understand him more and see his pov more and you'll realize that his demonic trait is just that. It doesn't mean that he is evil but he is definitely... more>> not a good person and he's proud of it. He just has a strong principle in life. <<less

Since Meng Xi Shi is a very popular author and there are already so many reviews on here, I feel I don't need to take too much time with a review of the whole novel. I'll be quick.

I do want to say that qianqiu is one of my favorite danmei, too.

Shen Qiao and Yan Wushi are this perfect combination of someone very good and someone very evil getting together. Meng Xi Shi also has a very good way of twisting both of them down each other's path to make them... more>> a little more like each other but also not entirely different from their original characters.

All the sides characters are extremely good as well! I think my top three favorites are Zhao Chiying, Bian Yanmei, and Bai Rong.

The plot is focused and set. Never does it drift off to s*upid pointless things. Everything connects. I'm also not a strong romance fan unless it's toward the end and a majority or all of the plot is written through. This was that.

My only complaint is that sometimes Yan Wushi kisses Shen Qiao and seals his acupoints to do so. And I excuse these things because 1. Shen Qiao is more than capable of getting away from Yan Wushi. And 2. This is definitely not the worst thing I have read in a danmei and is probably the tamest problematic thing I've read in a novel.

As I said, most people hit the marks in their reviews. If I had anything new to say in my review, it would be indirectly calling out other reviews that were negative and countering them with my own opinion. I'm petty.

Lots of action, strong characters, many characters, betrayal, angst, comedy moments---Meng Xi Shi always writes it all. <<less

Look, I'm not a fan of toxic relationships nor the ML being a flying red flag, literally. BUT this one is an exception!!

I'm not into politics either, I tried to read QJJ before, and I couldn't continue further, I've always known that politics are just not my cup of tea. BUT this one is definitely an exception.
