Although it seems slow paced, it wasn't boring... and, just as the author said, romance was just a complement. Their relationship was rational, they took their time but were still decisive and everything followed as it should.

It includes side characters' little stories, but they were similar to MC.

Kids grew up well, and accepted ML quickly. They're really lucky to find a good stepdad, because their real father was just tr*sh. Family too, with some rare exceptions, just 2 if I remember correctly, but mostly MCs cousin who helped from the start. <<less

The story concluded well and wrapped up in a happy ending. There wasn't any crazy conflicts nor misunderstandings in the story. The ML and the FL were pretty well suited together and I liked their relationship. The story was quite average. It wasn't badly written, it's fairly good, but not outstanding. I read this for the childcare tag. There was decent enough writing about the children; this story doesn't focus on them much as they are not the main character.

the premise of the story is pretty fresh. There is little dog blood drama and I quite like the personality of the MC; she dares to stand up for her own ideals and is not naive.

Overall the novel was good. The MC and ML was not overpowered. The author did a 👍 job for this. There's no golden finger or any talent of MC and ML.

This novel had no sweet and fluffy romance that tickles you but it's just a straight and direct way like "MC and ML don't have chasing counting, it was they think they like each other then they are now lovers" like that.

The main focus is MC's struggle starting her (various) bussiness, though I do think that it feels kinda Mary Sue-ish, an ugly to beauty transformation type of MC.

First the chapters are broken into pieces like all chapter are divided into 3 or so pieces may be it is to release fast but it's alright.

I've been saving this novel for a long time and it definitely met my expectations. An excellent slice of life novel. Highly recommend for those who enjoy business management, childcare and slow burn romance. There is no dramatic faceslapping for those shameless relatives (except when dealing with the MC's ex husband, other than that the MC literally lived her life... more>> and DGAF about the rest) and everything was really well paced.

The highlight of the novel would be the excellent business management part and also the interactions and relationship development between the MC and the people around her. I truly enjoyed the fact that there is no unconditional friendship/ relationship in the story. Some seemingly close friendships fade or even turn bad over time and the changes of human nature was taken into account. The novel has a lot of unfortunate woman with scummy husbands and they all took different paths.

I enjoyed the MC's character. She's was portrayed as someone who has depth of sorts without the character set up of of being overtly righteous or black bellied in her decision makings. She considers the people aspect of things and weighs the pros and cons of each decision especially if it may affect her children. Her set up is very human and her actions and reasonings are considerations are what people in reality would take into account. The MC's luck, ability and her knowledge are her golden fingers. Nothing particularly excessive either.

Her love for her children is understandable and her desire for a partner and more kids is also understandable. I've read novels where the MC doesn't have more kids because they were afraid that theyll love the one they gave birth too more but this novel didn't include that though it was something the MC did give a lot of thought too. Because she took her kids into account, the romance was a slow burn.

The ML is basically there to be the emotional support to the MC. He is the mean looking but teddy bear inside type which is super sweet. He cares for the MC and her kids and he himself has gone through an emotional rollercoaster of hardships and pain. Not the typical cold black bellied CEO type MLs. I also loved the fact that we got to see the children in their adult years and met the people they grew up to be. Would have loved if they author dished out more and not ended it that abruptly though. It was like there was enough but not enough (don't know if it makes any sense).

The only critique I have is on the translation and the translation site. Some names were mixed up and some sections of the chapters did not make sense. It felt like a poorly edited MTL. But that is only for certain chapters. Most of it is still excellently translated. Besides that, the issue of not having a "next" button and the fact that some of the links for the chapters in the Table of Contents were wrong (you need to go to NovelUpdates to access the right links) made it not user friendly at all. You literally had to open a new tab for every chapter and may even miss out on the chapter if you access the chapters through the TOC which is kinda unpleasant.

Overall it's a well paced and very good slice of life novel. Would still highly recommend it if anyone is interested in giving it a go. <<less

I loved how down to earth this one was. The kids felt like kids. No one was a sudden genius. MC's cheats were there, but did not feel outrageous, and while it would be possible to nitpick, everything felt realistic. Well deserved 5 stars rating.

This has to be one of the most realistic novels I’ve ever read here and it perfectly portrays the mindset and living conditions in the 90s. The story is really centered around the female lead and the male lead comes way after but the plot is so well laid out that it was worth the wait.

So many practical lessons and encouragements can be drawn from this novel and it is definitely one I highly recommend.

I enjoyed this story because the FL was strong and kind. The ML was also kind and tried to protect the FL from negative gossip

It’s a Slice Of Life, so it is a slow burn. I was never bored, so I recommend this story

This is a very relaxing novel to read. There's no excessive drama or face slapping. MC also didn't focus on taking revenge on people who wronged original owner. She mainly focused on herself and her instant kids. Although she didn't have a cheat, she still relatively had it easy when she started business because she met kind persons along the way. Not that I looked down on MC's achievement because having a connection and used it at the right time was also a skill itself and MC had that skill.

I... more>> also didn't mind MC trying so hard to get skinnier. A woman wanted to be prettier wasn't a sin and she also never stated that a plump woman was ugly. Moreover, MC was still a single woman in her past life so it's understandable if she wanted to look beautiful like her peers.

As for her relationship with the kids, MC could instantly hit it off with them almost immediately but after she run her business, she didn't spend much time with them anymore. It's also understandable because she was a single parent and had to make a living for the family.

What about romance? Don't worry, there's still romance in this story but it was slow burn. There's no "falling in love at the first sight" between them, instead, it was "falling in love because they're familiar with each other". It wasn't fairytale like but it was realistic. Moreover, MC was technically a divorcee and had 2 kids on top of that so she had so many things to consider when it came to a relationship.
