This story's plot is really good, although there wasn't much romance, it still has its own appeal. I've read it a while back, but I finished all chapters in one go. I'm also hoping for a more detailed ending about the FL's daughter and youngest son. Although that is the case for the ending, I'm not dissatisfied at all. On the contrary, I really fell in love with the flow of the story. The FL is strong and independent, and I admire the way she handles things. The ML is... more>> also good, and very supportive to the FL. He has his own charm and strong points. I also love how much influence the FL has with the other characters. The way their life prosper under the FL's guidance. One of my favorite parts on this novel is when the FL disciplines her eldest son, it was quite hilarious for me. I wish I could find more novels like this. <<less

She wins at life. It's fun to fantasize about getting rich...

Otherwise, there's not much to this story. Hardly any plot, all conflicts are short and transient, and except for the family back home, all villains disappear after their very first crime. It almost has a Scooby-Doo monster of the week structure to it if you squint, but they hide it well and you wouldn't immediately notice it. I appreciate how characters are always introduced methodically and ahead of time, there's a villain every week but they never come out of... more>> nowhere. The villains always came from something that happened earlier in the story and they always have a solid reason to want to act like they do. There's no such thing as a side character with a name that doesn't have their minute of fame in this story, if they've got a name, they're going to do something. Heck, plenty of characters *without* names come back later on even. Whether they'll be a friend or an enemy is fun to guess, I was wrong a few times.

For example, a nameless random customer that just buys stuff at her shop made at least four appearances and caused an entire plot point, it was impressive. Then after her plot point was over... she came back again, a year later, so you could see how she reacts to the event she accidentally caused. Let me repeat, this character didn't even have a name! The continuity is an achievement, the author seriously forgets nothing and leaves no loose ends at all.

The plot that it does have is very simple, it's just like watching your XP bar level up in an RPG game. The protagonist gets stronger after every battle, gains more allies, makes more money. This is those mobile game ads where you go from LVL 0 grunt to LVL 100 boss, basically. That's the bird's eye view but down in the weeds individual episodes are much more interesting and a lot less predictable, there's plenty of variety. The protagonist always wins but she does it in a different way every time, that's the fun part.

It's monster of the week but with continuity, unlike cartoons, previous episodes lead into the next and will often come back to be important later on. That said, there's a lot of weeks. It's tiring to binge, like watching six seasons of Scooby Doo in a single sitting. Since the events aren't self contained and episodes spill into each other, it's hard to find a clear stopping point. You need to remember a lot of details, characters, and events, so it's difficult to put it down and come back later.

All in all, decent. It's not very complicated, but it is very detailed. A little bit too long in my opinion, given how much you have to remember to keep up. A lot will happen but at the end of the story you'll hardly remember any of it. I guess it's kind of like fast food? Huge portion sizes, but it's mostly filler, good and satisfying while you're eating it, but afterwards you feel kinda heavy and bloated like "blerggg did I really just eat all that...?". It leaves you with an unhealthy glow... this story is a whole bucket of fried chicken. <<less

This story as a whole, it's not bad. It's not particularly good, either. The story started off interestingly enough, with the FL taking control of her life and starting her life anew in a different city. The love interest then appeared in her life and then there was a brief struggle to get together before they got together finally. Then the story was just plain boring. There was not struggle for the FL after she got together with her love interest and even if there was, it wasn't nothing major... more>> or noticeable. Or at least I didn't notice it. The only struggle she had was in the beginning against her family and her ex, and then against people that were making her new life difficult. But then once she is established, nothing else happened. It turned into a daily life thing and then, the story had several fast forwards or time jumps that just came out of nowhere that completely ruined the rhythm of the story. So yeah, its was a nice little story but a little boring. <<less

It was boring at first but it becomes engaging when MC does her business.

The romance is really pure and taken on mature side.

If you look for a transmigrating story with a plot knocks sense of reality, then this is the best choice.

Reading this make you tempt to strive for doing business as well, lol.

A plodding read. The little details were fun, and the feminism realistic for its context. Author didn't know when or how to end the story well, but that is a common problem. 4 stars.

The rating is high I usually like these kinds of stories so I tried really really hard to like this and continue reading but I just can't. The way the MC went to the level of her ex-husband and pushed him until there's no way out leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's like she didn't just want them to die but to suffer humiliation, misery until they themselves want to die. I've read tons of vicious female lead novels but the viciousness here is written as if she's... more>> very righteous and justified. Kennot. Just kennot. <<less

Story progresses beautifully and realistically.

Has some exciting moments but mostly it's heartwarming, but it wasn't boring for me.

I enjoyed reading every chapter.

If it was adapted to a movie I'd really watch it with my family.

250+ chapter in, the story is quite decent, an enjoyable read.. A lot of things that open up your perspective, around chapter 250-ish story gets prety boring for me.

Quite a few things in the story felt rushed. A bit of detail here and there would've make it better. The time frame for things in the later part felt awkward.. Or not mentioned at all, kinda confusing is it already happen in the past, are we 2 months forward or still present.

The translation is good, only clock a few weird paragraph.... more>> The rest are good. <<less

This is my first 90’s novel.

I think it’s really interesting! I always love a strong female MC, especially when she starts her own business. She’s not a Mary Sue either; she knows her limits and has disadvantages as well. I love how the story progresses, although I wish for more interactions between her and her children. There is a second ML if you squint, I guess. It focuses more on business though, which I love. There’s romance, but it’s slowly progressing and I’m eager to see it. At where I’m... more>> at, she hasn’t met with the original owner’s (of her body) yet. I’m so looking forward to when they meet. Maybe her ex as well? Just so that they could see how well she’s doing without them now. Also, where can you see all the other translations? I want to read them too! <<less

I loved how adult like this novel felt. Very slice of life. No face slapping, no excessive behaviors, conflicts of business partners such as wanting to bankrupt others, just how FL grows as a businesswoman, mother, friend and partner.

FL is amazing, she is so decisive direct and wow. Not too OP, kind and motherly to her children but not too pampering, ruthless doing business but still keeping good relationship with her workers, how she's brave and kind to help out others.

Children being children, how they get closer to FL slowly... more>> and grow as individuals due to the divorce. They show negative behaviors as well as positive ones.

The introduction of characters and how they are all throughout the story and affect the development is nice.

ML is introduced early on and they interact slowly and later on after the events, he became interested and pursued her.

I like how it's not the overbearing cold CEO stereotype but more human and FL is kinda like richer but still asks for his help often. It's quite cute.

The only downside in my opinion is that in the middle of the story when FL is starting out her business there's very little children screen time and was a bit on the boring side. <<less

Well written novel. More on slice of life so some may be a little boring. The story is similar to a BL novel investment life. However, the investment life is of a little higher in quality in terms of business progression, love development and realism. It started great however became a little monotonous at the ending.- a little anticlimactic

The main draw of this story is how this woman handles transmigrating into being a mother. Its got very heavy world building but the story is ultimately really shallow. Our lead and her love interest are too OP. That being said I like their characters. Especially the ML. He and the setting are unique. And I adore the things she does for her children. The choices she makes that consciously improve their lives and characters. Its really fun to follow along on their adventures. Recommend if you’ve got time and... more>> you like child rearing novels with a touch of romance. <<less

After the first initial chapters, it quickly gets boring. I forced myself to push through it, while hoping that something exciting would happen but guess what? Nothing happened! It was just the MC managing her store, taking care of her kids and getting merchandise.

At this point I'm going to start skipping chapters because I do like this novel but my patience is starting to wearing extremely thin.

P.S. Except for the advantage of her rebirth the MC is a normal person without any other cheat, super abilities or a super powerful handsome CEO Lover who brainlessly support her from the beginning. I like it this way but others may not. The business stuff might not be handled by the author well like in real life but this don't affect my overall impression of the novel

Although the MC is transmigrated into a novel it didn't take the usual routine of the a useless MC given everything and everyone... more>> else is r*tard. The MC built her own life and the relationship with other characters were handled pretty well. The ML is also interesting, he helps the MC when needed but not overly irrational cliché overbearing CEO type.

The story is fast paced especially when it comes to business, It's too fast paced

Spoiler

the MC chats with her friend about the clothes company and in a few days they are making millions

[collapse]

Some characters are overly enthusiastic to MC but it's not to an annoying degree so it's fine.

I like that the writer put some thoughts in the career life of the MC, although not too much details were mentioned but it's not as Superficial as the others where it's skipped in a line or two but I feel that he/she didn't go enough into her personal life. Not that I don't like it, I just feel it's too simple... not detailed enough, maybe.

The point that might have annoyed me a little is the MC transmigration as it was stated, the original owner shouldn't have died yet.

anyway It wasn't a bad one. <<less

Honestly speaking I liked this book and it was also satisfying to read. However there is no real plot or oomph in the novel. It is more like reading a diary in some1s life. The premise is divorcing her ex and making him peniless but after that it is sort of an isekai/diary combination. In my opinion it is better than most isekai, and I also personally like this book. However it got somewhat boring when I bingd 67 chaps in 1day, so this story isnt suited for binging. Chapters... more>> are also VERY short like 5-10chaps is the length of 1 typical novel chapter. <<less

Good story. It fits perfectly with my view of modern novels. Sweet but realistic. The MTL is also quite easy to read.

4 stars out of 5. I didn't give 5 stars because after I finished reading I felt there was less detail. I reread again and realized that it seemed like the writer was in a bit of a hurry to finish the story.

Hm... or because this story focuses on Shu Yan's perspective, so many plot details that are built in the beginning to the middle of the story seem... more>> to be abandoned.

But for those who are looking for a fairly mild story with a plot of the struggle of mothers raising children (not entirely so, because the beginning to the middle chapter discusses mother and child. And from the middle chapter focuses more on ML and business so that the details of child development are a little lost) with slow love is quite recommended.

For those who are looking for a fairly complex story of the struggle of mothers and children may be less satisfied with this story. <<less

I am a huge fan of how she handles her love life and all but the her early interaction with food threw me waaay off. I kinda understand as going from really skinny to an undesirable weight at once is offputting. But damn she lighter than me and calling herself fat D: I got no chonks. Idk if its the asian physique or whatever but it's a little hard to read about. So maybe my review is biased lol

Started out fairly interesting and good enough but progressively get worse as it goes, mainly due to the conflicts and dramas that unfold.

MC and other main characters seem to loose their heads once said issues come around, this gets more obvious later on.

Spoiler

Prime example is with the Hu's, supposed to be overprotective to their daughter and yet let two bastards get close to her twice. One a pe*vert playing around with her, the other a psycho pe*vert.

[collapse]

So many mentions of how ruthless they can be but they can tend to let the issues drag on, especially with the MCs issues. More like they become more irrational as they go.

Currently planning to read cause despite the headaches it is still entertaining but it really does fall short and off, especially on later chapters as far as my read ha gone thus far. <<less
