Yan Yan transmigrated into a novel as the notorious top villain who, under the delusion of being the lost heiress of the Ming family, intended to kill her uncle to inherit the family fortune.

However, before she could act, the true heiress returned, leading to the villain being mercilessly expelled and killed by the uncle.

On the day she became the villain, Yan Yan swore not to covet the uncle’s fortune, not to go against his wishes, and not to hinder his pursuit of the female lead, aiming to preserve her life and find an opportunity to tell her uncle:

“Actually, I’m not the real Miss Ming.”

Upon hearing this, the uncle adjusted his tie and gave a meaningful smile:

“Is that so? That’s really great.”

Yan Yan: ?????

Who can tell her what this means?

In the presence of her seemingly fierce uncle, she is far more submissive than the heroine vs a male lead who seems domineering but actually isn’t at all.

Note: The male and female leads are NOT related by blood! Not at all!

It was a light and steady transmigration story — a bit different from others, but nothing truly original. I’m not a fan of female leads who are too perfect; it makes the story less engaging. While the FL in this novel was certainly strong, everything else about her felt overly flawless and, ultimately, boring.

Yan Yan (FL) as superstar actress transmigrated to fanfic novel made by her fan (starring her as OG FL)... but instead of her identity, she became minor villainess (Tang Tang).

It's saddening that she need to start from scratch while the "fake" Yan Yan ruined her image. Reason why I don't care if FL was OP bc she needs it bc OG body owner's situation was really messy and she's transmigrated in bad time.

For romance part, the ML was good and doting. Albeit with age gap and I felt awkward as... more>> their initial relationship was uncle-niece (they weren't blood related just matter of mistaken identity).

For another con,

Spoiler

the revelation of their fake blood relation was anti-climatic and also not well-explained why the DNA test failed. Also, real niece basically forgotten (I know she wanted quiet life)... but atleast give us scene between FL and her.

If you can ignore some plot holes and age gap terms, it actually enjoyable. <<less

Leaving this to comment to remind me why I am dropping this novel at chapter 9.

This novel is actually good but not for my currently stressed mind. I am hoping to have a much lighter and fluff read. However this novel offers a lot of drama every chapter so far. So much stressful scenes and I am not enjoying it. The FL mindset does not justify that she was an amazing actress before transmigrating. She seems a bit narrow minded to me and not at all witty and creative.

Maybe I... more>> will pick this novel again in the future. Will just update this comment. <<less

5/5

I suspect that I didn't actually finish it and that I'm missing the extras but I'm happy enough where it landed.

I'm not particularly fond of the concept of extras either. If you're going to have an epilogue, there should only be one and it should just give a final closure or cherry on top of the story. Like seeing a glimpse of their family with kids or something. Anything else needs to be in the main story. I also don't need a happy ending and closure for every character or... more>> random plot thread. Sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine.

Because I didn't read the extras, I won't complain about what was not resolved. But some others made a good point that they never did verify that they weren't related. Ming and Tang Tang. It actually created an awkwardness in the middle of the story how they avoided it. I always thought it was odd... That's actually where I stopped reading the story before, when I read it the first time around. However, if they turned out to be related and still maintained their forbidden relationship that would have absolutely made this story a 6/5 for me. 😈

Sorry for the rambling. <<less

well, if you want to read something to pass the time, this one is not bad. But dont expect a perfect storyline without any loophole tho, this one just read it casually

there's nothing particularly good or bad in this novel to be honest

Spoiler

the romance started in the latter part. Maybe around 50 chapters. Though at the very beginning they basically live at the same house but the story focuses on FL's progress. Then suddenly at chpt 40s, ML somehow has feelings for her hahah, quite random I admit

then FL has feelings around 50s if im not mistaken

[collapse]

to be honest, ML realized his feelings much earlier compared to FL. And it's funny that the first thing he did was to call a psychologist during that time. I feel that he really appreciates FL and tries to fix his 'mental illness' lol

Spoiler

also, since FL knows the real story, she confesses first. And ML did the same, which is to call a psychologist for her ahahahha

[collapse]

for real, I didnt image that FL transmigrated into the novel where the heroine is herself yet somehow she transmigrated into the SFL instead. Also this novel is made by her fans so no wonder all the things described for the heroine's characteristics, our FL can do it too since basically it is her. When I read this, it's quite novel for me <<less

I had high expectations for this novel, because I read another of the author's books but I feel that edta is a bit behind "Raise a sick villain" I'm not saying it's wrong, I liked it a lot but it was based more on how the FL increased its popularity and not so much in its relationship with the ml, I expected more attachment from both protagonists, but it was fine
