Won't lie, but the book was very good. Especially the first 2 volumes. But I'm dropping this. Seriously, it's very annoying. And I'm not talking about the MC or ML or the smut, it's all because of the side characters.

The first 2 volumes were nicely written. Like the plot was good, funny and sad too. Seriously, made me cry. The realistic but cruel story of the 2 volumes were really well written and applied. Like how bcz the hero and villain were genius, they got good treatment and respect. But bcz the MC wasn't a genius, he had talent, a rare one, but bcz it wasn't showing, he was treated harshly. But his innocence and positive mind really was amazing. Especially his never-ending spirit to do better and to live a good future. It was very intriguing and interesting. But after that, from the 3rd volume, sh*t hit the fan. Like really, the only side character I like in the whole book is the MinerBai bandit lady of the sea, oh and also the MC's master. Other than these 2, all other side characters are total sh*t and annoying.

Like I am so pissed on the ML, the villain, who doesn't eleven know that his own right/left hand man tried to kill, or more like killed the MC, coz he transmigrated back to his original body. The side character, left hand man, is so obsessesively insane and sh*t headed that I dropped the novel. And again, I little bit blame the ML for the transformation of the MC. Like MC had talent. If cultivated and NOT interrupted bcz of the ML, he would have been so powerful and self sufficient. But no, the author decided to make him a damsel in distress and also a thin muscle-less wimpy looking guy (If you read the first volume you would notice that the MC was actually very manly and muscly, although teenager but still). Okay, he was sick, it was side effect and I accept it. But again!!!! You (author nim or sama) made him so sick, but can't a suck person even rest in peace??!! Like why the hell was he kidnapped the day after he woke up?!! Like WTH?!! Is this logical?!! No peace?? Like none at all.

And all that side characters, I salute you ciz you all made me drop the book. Like once a side character demon girl tried to r*pe the MC, she drugged him and was almost close to the deed, if not for the MC's spirit animal friend. And when it comes to confrontation, what the MC says.??? 'It was just a misunderstanding' Like hell it was!!! It was about to be r*pe!! Don't cover it for the sake of that villain going mad!!! Does of a rapist make any difference.??! Again, when it comes to gender equality I prefer the villain more. Coz for the MC, a girl raping a boy is just a prank. Oh, how do I forget, The hero!!! He is total s*upid, biased, and the one who thinks that crying one is right and the emotionless one is wrong!!! Head slap!!!

Now, I really like the first 2 volumes, the story was good (Although the sidekicks were a bit annoying). The 3rd volume is a no go for me. (I don't mind the smut). The only reason I'm dropping the book is bcz of the annoying side characters. That's it. Like at the very least, if a proper background of the side characters was there in the beginning so that I can understand their actions or something, I wouldn't be so much annoyed right now. (Most of the side characters are just brainless!!! Even the hero is brainless!!! OMG!)

Well, sayonara for now this novel.

Maybe I will try to continue it again in future.

Pros:

• The plot is pretty interesting, especially the concept of not fully transmigrating, or returning at the end, but instead taking "breaks" at the end of each arc to be back in the real world. Also, things relevant to the MC/plot still happen in the real world sections (although it's small things)
• Story is somewhat short and plot doesn't really overstretch itself too much, so if you don't like a certain plotline you can just skip a few chapters. Also, the flow of the writing is such that even if you skip you can usually still catch up on what important things happened.

Cons:

• MC is... boring? not charming? bland? pick your adjective, I don't really like him and if it wasn't for the plot I would've dropped this in the first volume.
• TN issue so doesn't matter if you MTL or read CN: There are 5 different TN groups, so QoL and quality of TL may vary. I had to read while keeping this page open and just opening the next ch in new tabs.
• what the actual f*ck is vol4

Without the Extras I would have rated 4.25. The extras were so full of fluff (and smut).

Storyline and plot were not outstanding, but it does the trick. Same for characters.

It was exciting enough to make me binge. World building was simple for cultivation novel. The focus was more on the romance. Dub-con but I liked it. It was hot. The smut was Really good too!! Explicit scenes and frequent.

Very easy to read and to finish. Chapters are not so long.

A word of warning: this is the kind of yandere novel where the ML is forceful and consent is dubious. I've seen everything so far so nothing much bothers me anymore. I prefer him when he started out tsundere.

MC getting amnesia. Even though it's understandable that the ML traded MC's memories in order for MC to live, I'm just sick of reading amnesia tropes. Fortunately, MC gets his memories back, but I don't like how the ML is so impatient and keeps mol*sting the MC and forcing him. I'm ok with noncon but I don't like it when it's justified as okay for the sake of love and shoehorned into HEs. But cause the MC and ML did genuinely love each other in Volume 3 before the memory wipe and MC still does, it doesn't put me off so much. This would get a 4.5 or 5 from me if the ML had restrained himself and just focused on stimulating the MC's memories instead of stimulating his body physically against his wishes in V4. Like dude, he doesn't know who you are. Wth are you doing, I thought you'll be smarter and have more restraint than that... I actually prefer if this had less xxx scenes...

first 2 volumes are a fun read for the most part. Volume 3 is a disaster. They are constantly having s*x despite the MC wanting no part of it. The MC is also so weak to the point it even makes me uncomfortable to read. And im usaully all for bondage shit. The non-consensual/rapey aspect just really ruins the whole vibe of the story. Plus the plot just disappears, I want to explore outside the room he stuck in! This is just ridiculous!

what a disappointment.

It is what the reviews before me say. First two comes plot and later half becomes romance-oriented. There were also some missing pieces here and there that we will never get to know. At the very least, the ending was properly closed and there were experimental & fanservice storylines on the extras.

The summary, after the ludicrous part, doesn't really come true in the original world but on the extra as an alternate world. Our ML, even if there's dub-con, never really goes 'too far' and stops when the MC realllly... more>> doesn't like it. Additionally, we get to see them fumble around because of inexperience lol (teenager ML sloppy kisses, masturb*****, and when he tried to learn the art of s*x lol). Also we get to see ML's expressions of helplessness, worry, always peak lvl shock&sadness&madness, and moments of blushing bec of MC. On another note, all three of them weren't OP, especially the MC. There were near-death moments and struggles & aches when they can't do anything when facing a greater power. Protagonist always sunny, ML only views MC but heeds his sayings (like no killing his bro), and MC the saint & mediator lol. Truly right, when he doesn't want power over a world w/o the MC.

I wished they could have explored these more:

Thanks lol), seeing that the light & dark cast are still alive somewhere, but yes, 3rd death&resurrection onwards was a mish mash mix of things, up till the extras (esp what happened to the MC, both had to suffer to recall him back, and what they had to go through) ; (5) more descriptions about the master and relationship w/ protagonist's parents, since it was just dropped and moved on with the evil ball and the sudden powerful 'call the transmigrator's spirit back'; (6) more character development, especially from the overbearing ML; etc.

If you want a novel with: fluffy, non main cast chara dying, some detailed papapappa, chase and catch me between mc&ml, middleman/elder brother between the dark & light Lords, funny resurrect-able & sacrificial lamb MC (the happenings each time made me laugh lmao I appreciated his coming & going between his world and the novel), warm family moments with elder bro MC over the two shotas ML&protag (volume 1 was cute! Kids versions and growing up scenes are rare! I feel old watching them grow :')), different explored moments, hardworking translators, THEN GO READ IT, WHAT ARE U WAITING FOR! <<less

Honestly, there are many loopholes and unsolved mystery, but the contents of the novel actually make you forget about all of those stuff because it's just so good! ML is a bit of an as*hole to trick MC at the end like that, but still it worth it since there is no damage to the innocent world lol.

I have been binge reading cultivation BL novels with these master-disciple or shixiong-shidi relationship for a while now, I just have to say this story is quite good though no much plot that I can enjoy but there is so much fluff going on that it makes it okay to read.

Book 1 & 2 is my favorite there are fluffs and the character's relationship and the plot is improving every chapter. Book 3 is just fan service for us rotten girls with some plot going on at the end, and... more>> book 4.... I haven't finish reading yet so, so far all I could say is it's full of fan service and fluffs lol.

Maybe it's just me being impatient with the storyline or frustated of the over fluffs going on, but I just want the plot to develop faster so that I can enjoy the fluffs at the end without anticipating more angst. All the sweet interaction was okay at first, but as I read more I feel bored with all the fluffs and got the feeling that perhaps there are no plots at all in the first place lol. In conclusion, the fluffs are just fillers to make longer chapters :') but if you like story full of fluffs and slow plot this is the story for you.

The story is a rollercoaster ride hohoho, always makes me sad on how LX dies every time and how YZJ's gonna live through it. His deaths are pretty justified but what's not is how he goes back to and from his original world to the novel world, it's just a big question mark.

That's actually why I didn't have an urge to read this novel before many times I passed by this novel. But after I finally chose to read this? I prefer the way he's written in the actual novel rather than my expectation before though. So no disappointment there.

I'm just honestly did not expect so many uncensored smuts! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE IT TO THE BONE! It wasn't super explicit, but definitely Uncensored! It wasn't overused but it was Plenty! It was a LOT compared to many Chinese novel would do! I enjoyed Everything it served!

It wasn't exactly romantic novel too. The feelings between the MC and ML are Emotional. And yes we can tell MC from fondess to really Love ML. How can I say it rightly? It wasn't romantic. But it wasn't rushed or sudden. It makes sense. It wasn't perfect! It wasn't exactly smooth either. But things works because the way the story goes and the way the characters are like that. When they're official, they're very Sweet toward each other. Loving every moments and every intimacy. They love each other without complicated feelings and we know it without doubting their feelings! Especially because at the beginning MC keep saying he only like female and didn't even realise the possibility of gay between him and the ML until he was slapped by it! Especially because at the beginning of the story, he seems to be open-minded. But other than that, MC is really Great Character!

ML's character is Unique. I enjoyed his characteristic when he was young to how he grow to how he love MC. ML is a lot of things. You can Love/Hate him and it makes sense. He has lot of flaws, but also great and fun in many things. I Love him enough.

The Supporting and Side Characters are Great! They're not Spectacular, but still Important, and not plain! Pretty Enjoyable!
