I went into this knowing it was a short story, and I really enjoyed it as such. Of course, in 27 chapters there wouldn’t be much character growth or complex plot points

I really enjoyed the flow of the story, the beginning was brilliant, as expected of Xian Lu Lao Ren (one of my favorite authors). I do agree with other reviewers that the ending was abrupt, but this is a short story and abrupt endings are common in this format

Concerning the actual story on the original site, it's actually rather cute. It's short and I wish there was more of them together, but the build of them interacting is nice and the logic makes sense. They only actually get together in the last chapter so there's a lot of build with... more>> minimal fulfillment. But if you're looking just for something short and sweet this is it. <<less

I can say that this novel is good for a little fluff but the ending is too abrupt. The ending could be stretch out to have a good ending but no they end it as soon as they confirm their feelings for each other. This novel could go up to more than 30 chapter if it is given the right ending. What a pity... its such a good novel too.

This story is very fun and structured in the beginning but from the point where the Male Lead starts to have neutral feelings about the Female Lead, the story becomes very abrupt. Like the author wants the leads to fall for each other but was halfway told that they can only write 6 more chapters.

The things that happened with the Female Lead were slightly more structured, detailed and had a flow (even though in the last few chapters the story played in background and summaries) but all the interactions between... more>> the Male Lead and the Female Lead were like a summary I will tell a friend if I want them to read some story I liked.

This novel had the most abrupt ending out of all the novels I have ever read. Halfway when the flow was going smooth, I found out that there are only 27 chapters and there's nothing even slightly ambiguous going on between the Leads, I believed they won't end up together but would simply live cordially.

I really wanted to give it a 2-star, but the initial good writing (which was there for more than half of the story) made me give it 3-stars.

It’s short enough to take a chance on. What I don’t understand is why the FL starts live-streaming or continues after she already has money. I’m not saying she shouldn’t, however, her reputation isn’t the best and when you put yourself out there on the internet, negativity runs rampant. If she wanted to she should’ve worn a mask or used an avatar at least. The ending was too abrupt but for the most part the story flowed somewhat naturally.

Don’t worry, the FL was never married to the ML’s dad nor did she ever sleep with him. So while some may frown on her for even being a companion and allowing herself to be termed as a kept woman, she morally has nothing wrong.

I really don’t like the OG FL. She’s totally brain-dead and so is her friend. It makes no sense how she was even OG FL material but I get that’s just how plots work. <<less

The story starts of really well but the ending feels rush. I feel like the author either ran out of ideas on how to continue the story plot and rush the ending. Or the author got bored and wanted to end the story quickly.

This story is not something I will re-read.

I can't read the rest of the chapters because I'm not a VIP on jjwxz. It's unfortunate that I can't read it all.

The chapters I've read are fun though. I'm not sure how the author can suddenly turn things around when the novel only has 27 chapters.
