Ruan Jiu Jiu transmigrated into a rebirth novel, in which the female lead in her past life had an unattainable love, a white moonlight. In the novel, the white moonlight Cheng Jun was a hollow character with a pretty face but zero accomplishments, and with his cold personality was like a frigid beauty; an empty flower vase. Meanwhile, Ruan Jiu Jiu transmigrated into Cheng Jun’s ex-wife, an evil, stuck-up, female side character.

When Ruan Jiu Jiu transmigrated over, a divorce agreement was placed on the table. Cheng Jun, wet from the rain, ate a bowl of unhealthy instant noodles. Seeing that beautiful, emotionless face, Ruan Jiu Jiu suddenly couldn’t take it anymore and said that she’d wait until tomorrow to reconsider the divorce.

Later.

Ruan Jiu Jiu: Who said that he’s an idiot? Who said that he’s frigid? You’re trolling (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

Sooo sweet, cute and funny. The ML is a glutton other than being perfect. The FL is a narcissist who fears big rich family drama.

The story is nice and refreshing. Basically it's watching a pair of low EQ couple in an arranged marriage. There's not much bloody fights and 3rd parties. The biggest obstacle is probably their own mentalities. X'D

I love this story! I don't know why it has only 4.3 because this is a gem.

The ML is a big puppy dog with negative EQ and is a total foodie. The MC is normal person who likes people praising her for her looks as any other and is a bit cautious. Their relationship progressed wonderfully and their interactions gave me so much happiness and laughs. The side characters are memorable and also give enough laughs. The writing and translation is also well written. This is all around an amazing... more>> novel.

Binge read it in a day. Loved it. Everyone should try it. <<less

Very refreshing ML-FL dynamics~

FL is very badass, independent and so cooool!!! Her coool-ness is still very feminine which I like a lot~ ML is a lazy, aloof, and foodie big puppy to FL. He's also really bad at reading the mood so he often disrupts their romantic moments a lot lololol

A lot of the side characters were likable (except b*tch OGFL) and the story didn't have much drama (except for the end :<<<)

Spoiler

Both ML and FL didn't have a good family so they were able to understand each other a lot more. Also, ML knew from the start that FL wasn't the original Ruan Jiujiu so the one he truly loves is her and he also married her around the end of the story for real. ML was really scared of being abandoned by FL especially since FL left him once (when ML confessed to FL while she was pretending to be asleep; FL, at that time, didn't love him yet so she left to not hurt him anymore). FL had a thick wall that she built to protect herself and it was fun how she tried to let ML slowly break down her walls after realizing that ML genuinely loves her. The ML and FL had a son in the end (that was similar to ML and ML even kept on joking of sending his son away lololol a lot of cute moments in extra chapters tho). Also, 2nd ML, the OGML, also married the wife he married in the 1st timeline (before OGFL rebirth).

[collapse]

It really is very fresh to read MLs that deviate the aloof, domineering, and cold on the outside but only warms up to the FL (ML is a bit similar but still not that type, he seems more like a 3rd ML's personality) ~ Anyway, this kind of personality complements the FL's personality very well. <<less

I really love this novel, especially the ML!!! He's so cute!!! Hahahahaha I love their interactions! Though the translation's kinda not that good, you can still somehow read it if you persevere. There's no drama, just full of fluff! Can't wait for more!! ??

The romance is slow even though they're already married. The relationship is platonic 70 percent of the story. Then it was a one-sided love because the FL is unwilling to commit when the ML is in love. But I like their dynamic and chemistry. They are funny together. This novel is funny. The ML is an introverted foodie, quite clingy to the FL and quite different from other Chinese novel CEO

It was a pleasant read with typical beautiful and handsome leads.

Might have missed something but

Spoiler

Why was there a need for a contract marriage in the first place? How can she be sure that she won't end up in her previous life?

Read too many c-novels where

Spoiler

Husband does not care about son or see son as a competition for wife's affections. The kid speaks in an overly mature way - though I liked how the cardboard box becomes his safe place. The foodie never gains weight.

Tbo idrk what to say about this one, I really dragged on reading it, and mostly picked it up bcs I needed some time killer in exam ssn. Not much happens as is the norm for this sort of novel, there is a few interesting points, like the separation and the sorta, more fleshed out background characters whose behavior makes you not see them as 2D in the end.

Mostly the interesting stuff happens close to the end, ... more>>

like not wanting kids, abandoned for the sake of having one, the dynamic started off interesting with the ML not really having a libido, but that was abandoned for the usual ML wants MC endures until the cross dressing s*x which was really fresh and nice to see.

the OG FL turns into a cannon fodder, and is shown as being the bad one all along, but the OG ML is an all around good guy, the stepmother is evil incarnate but the father well, he can be excused a little bit, the OG host not being given any real compassion by anyone in the plot and all of her likes and choices being shown as bad and tr*shy,

so the usual leniency for male charas and rejection of female charas. All in all read if you have the patience to wait for the last handful of chapters where most of the interesting things go down, but if not then I'd say it's better to skip. <<less

The characters are poorly written. I don't hate the ML because he had low EQ but he is a compulsive liar, it's not even cute. I especially hate the FL too. She often point out that the ML has low EQ but she invalidated the ML's emotion and feelings, saying the he is incapable of love just because she has low self-esteem which isn't even explainable where it stems from. Since even in her past life she did not suffer any trauma or experiences from failed relationships, or she has... more>> been bullied or ab*se. She can also cleverly fight back for herself in every circumstances but when it comes on her own feelings she get coward and dense, unable to confront and understand herself.

I don't also understand the angst coming from coveting someone else wife just because you had played with her online and got rejected your invite. Wth is wrong with the author writing a character like that? I get frustrated also because every chance encounter between Gu You and FL is very lucky that it deepens their relationship it's not even believable because that don't even happen between ML and FL. They are full of misunderstanding when they even live together in same effing house. The author is just too bias for the plot and for the comedic timing.

Also, XBY obsession and motivations as antagonist is questionable. According to the orig novel, what she really wanted was true love. It is evident on how she chased on ML even if she thought she had no money. She also settled with GY being a pro gamer in her next timeline because she thinks he loves her. But because she was a poorly written villain she became a dumb, money-obsessed person, and focused all her attention to FL.

My two stars is dedicated for the efforts of the translators for all the funny and clever memes.. All of that made me still go on until this chapter. Thank you. <<less

I really enjoyed this story at first, but the longer I read, the less I enjoyed it. The story would have been a lot better if the author had just wrapped it up after the wedding, but unfortunately it just kept going. I finally realized I was just too bored and gave up, despite there only being a dozen or so chapters left. It didn't help that MC is described as being miserable the first time they have smex, which completely ruins the romantic immersion for me. And then the... more>> jokes that had been funny just started to feel old, though I guess at least everyone stayed true to character. <<less

This story, so far, is very good. One of the best C-Novels I've read in terms of realism.

The "villains" are annoying, sure, but they're not comically so. The comedic relief—and c*ckblocking—is not over done to the point of annoyance. In fact, even though the side characters are certainly on the sidelines (I mean, they are side characters but still.) it's not annoying.

The main couple takes a long time to actually develop their relationship. It will take patience but, I don't exactly mind the pacing. So, if you don't mind having... more>> patience then give this story a try!

SPOILER BELOW

Spoiler

I have no idea why Jiu Jiu is getting so much hate in the comments? Like, one comment says that she is playing push-pull and purposely hurting the ML and I just...*eye roll*. The ML does nothing to properly convey his feelings to her. For her, this is purely a situation of convenience because that's how he allows it to be presented. He does not bother to correct her. He does not bother to change this mindset—not directly at least. He's a tsundere/kuudere sure. fine. but he does not communicate. Their relationship can't even really be considered close. Cordial and friendly. At times, sweet. But not at all romantic. And that is her point. She feels like he's attached to her because of what she offers him. The care. Sustenance. The company. He's no longer lonely. She takes care of him. That kind of stuff. She sees him as someone who is imprinting on her. So when she leaves it is not to play some kind of game. It is because she is trying to put some distance between them. Because they both need the space. Because maybe she is developing feelings but he most certainly has and she can't be sure if they're genuine or not, so the space is for them both.

[collapse]

About the ML

Spoiler

He's emotionally stunted. Like, there's not much else to say. His mother died—the only parent he was close to—and his father is a massive POS. His stepmother is... well, a wicked witch. Not at all surprising. I don't think he's a bad person for not being able to communicate with the FL. He doesn't have the emotional maturity. He's emotionally hurt. He's trying his best. He looks up how to woo women online. He buys books. He even sets up a romantic dinner (that gets ruined bc of a misunderstanding but yuh). He's just not good at being vulnerable. He does basically everything from behind the scenes.

[collapse]

It makes for a pretty good story? Like. Realistic. I dunno. Ofc it's not perfect. But this, so far, is the only C-Novel I've read that even attempts to maturely broach this topic. If you can understand nuance and that the author is (trying) to make characters with dimension, then I think this is totally an enjoyable read. Personally, I don't think that there are any "villains" beside the obvious ones. Despite what the other reviews will tell you, I (personally) don't think that the ML is wrong nor do I think the FL is wrong. They are both living in their own truths. Their own realities. The point is to merge these realities and truths for a happy ending. <<less

Only giving 4 stars because oh the first approx 50 chapters - really funny, well written and great translation. Afterwards it almost became unreadable, too boring and illogical. You can skip majority of each chapter and not miss anything

I'm so lucky I stumbled on this novel! You really have to read this. Its genuinely funny especially when the FL and ML interact.

I love both characters of ML and FL. As of now, I'm contented with the flow and how the story goes. Hopefully this continues. Cant wait for the next chapters😉

Many thanks to author n translator! You're a gem!

The love story is quite fluffy without too many major drama. It felt a lot like slice of life genre with slow development. I quite enjoy the kind but some may find it uneventful. Not to say that there is no drama because there is a lot but the writing style is not melodramatic. Both male and female leads are not typical leads though they appear to be or their settings should make them be. The novel also a good dose of humor. It’s short and a very nice read... more>> if you are tired of the dark revenge plot tropes with annoying poisonous step family lol. <<less

A masterpiece in fluffy stories. The ML is not your typically cold indifferent ML (well, he's just lazy), which has a fresh taste from all those boring overpowered ML troupe. The FL, not like your usual transmigrated MC, didn't actually exploit ML feelings and has a firm rationality over her action. She knew there's suspension bridge side effect, and instead of exploiting it in the name of "can't be helped", she slap the ML with clear intent. She also didn't have ambiguous feeling, I think her feeling is just like... more>> that of a close friend to ML. She take cares of him, worried, but she set a clear boundary that's not easily passed.

Unexpectedly,
Spoiler

instead of being vexed by the slow burn (confession on ch 50-ish and it was a single sentence), the cold rejection from the FL satisfied me. The author emphasize that FL isn't someone who'll easily get swooned by pretty face, and mistakenly called them love. She did like ML's face, but that's it. No tender feeling of (mistakenly believed) love.

I didn't always read fluffy stories with so little conflict, but I could say that this is an undiscovered gem and I would like to see this novel to be enjoyed by many people. <<less

I enjoyed reading this. The author commented that there won't be angst, and the story focused on the main couple without deviating to side characters too much. The story progression is slow and steady. There's lots of humour too. Overall, a good light-hearted read.
