It's really an amazing story. I really like the MC and all the three ml's I am really waiting it to be completed translated. It isn't quite fun to read on mtl as sometimes we can't understand the meaning of text.. So please translate it as soon as possible.. Thanks❤❤

Superb!!

This is actually one of the most unique bl novels I've read. There's actually no distinct male lead (well for me). You may find the beginning a little bit uhhm messy? Or too much.? Cause I looked at the reviews before I read this novel and many or some finds it off. But for me izz okayy 👌 I bore with it and somehow because of that, as I keep reading, it got me hooked. Can't explain why haha. Maybe izz because of the open-mindedness? Or the optimism? The wittiness displayed or the interactions between the brats and him (mc) haha I just dunno. Somehow I loved it 🥰

Amazing. Amazing. I'm seriously hooked. It's a story about the present with an occasional visit to the past. The mystery is still unveiling and the story is not for minors at all. If it was me of 13-18 years old, I would never understand a thing and just say, "where's the sex?" HAHAHAHAHA

On another note, this novel is a heavy slice of life and the uke's confusion on why everyone wanted him is understandable. Amazingly written, amazing translators, amazing. I actually have no words to describe how perfect this novel... more>> is for a binge read.

The story is really seamless and definitely recommended for reading.

I enjoyed the novel, unexpected characters show up and give me more reason to wonder where can I continue to read??????

I've seen people completed this novel and here I am wondering how things had turned out.

The Main Character is honestly the best, I love his strong personality and his Male Leads are very, very, interesting. Although I do not like them at first, but seems like they are quite the character and are very opposite to the man they love (Tang Feng)

I'm having my doubts on Charles in the last chapter, I really can't see him as loyal (I'm trying to understand him) and I'm wondering if his 5 minutes talk would be him banging Ivan (which I hope not cause I would Yeet him off the place)

OMG best BL Harem novel !! I love the MC! He is not your typical girly weak uke. He is independent, rational, calm, and strives to be on top. He's just like Ming Yu from the novel Rebirth of a Supermodel. These two seriously could be best buddies xD

Our MC is always calm and collected bc of past life's circumstances but that one chapter where one of the ML's r*ped him was nothing to laugh about, I think even the most calm person would definetly feel frieked out when you, a guy, got r*ped. But okay, i'll let that one slide.

So far so good, the smut scenes are good but few since it focuses on emotions and how our Tang Tang pick up his harem.

I'm expecting more on how will Gino's character will develop and how it will... more>> end up for him since his family is "religious" and sh*t like that.

What I'm most anticipating is how Albert will take away his "Esmeralda" and what will be our Tang Tang's reaction when little Annie's mask comes off.

About Lu Tian Cheng's character, I don't feel right when it comes to him since he rarely express his feelings and the time he got to spend with our Tang Tang is little but I'm quite sure that he'll develop into a fine char., since he's starting to express more of himself to our Tang Tang, it's just that Cheng-ge's setting is cold so I can't feel it right away. But it's good.

To Charles, the tamed big brown bear, it was enjoyable reading his time with our Tang Tang and he's the one who knows more about our Tang Tang since "living together" cultivated their feelings more.

And to our dear MC, Tang Feng, I hope his character would open up. My baby learned how to hide his feelings ba!

I don't know why the other people gave this novel 1 to 3 stars but for me I'll give it the complete stars it deserved. The MC is very likable one of the best MCs out there in a BL novel! He is very clear minded, clever and sticks to reality. The author really did a great job making the readers understand the actions of MC and MLs.

Btw, to those who dont want to read it because of harem and r*pe tag pls read this. There is an explanation for... more>> everything and later on the story, the Mls are really sweet and very caring to the MC. They are all so precious??? <<less

I absolutely love this story. Its amazing how quickly the MC adapts to whatever situation he is placed on and how clever he is in making almost everything go his way. Most of the characters are likable and the flow of the story is well done. I'm excited to read more on how he would rise back to the top in a different body and how the various guys chasing after him would do.

There aren't many stories with yaoi and harem tags put together (and I wish there were more... more>> though) but I'm truly happy to have found this and read it. <<less

MC is a very realistic person, considering his background and experiences. He has emotions, values, and his own unique way of thinking.

For those that don't agree, they haven't read far enough/understood his character enough.

I truly appreciate the character-building of the MC and the dynamic interactions between him and everyone else as I feel that is the strongest element in this novel.

The MC is the typical "proven" brilliant person who has a rebirth opportunity: calm, indifferent, focusing on career and attracting a lot of males/females without doing much.

It's quite nice for a light, fun read. Not much tense and you will see an MC who is very mature and self-controlled in handling situations (no wonder considering his actual age haha).

Reading this still left me with a good feeling. I stopped reading because harem is not for me (well, at least I tried) :)

I have thoroughly enjoyed this. And safe to say this book would definitely be on my to-reread shelf.

I like the maturity and sensibility shown by Tang Feng (protagonist). He is such a level headed and clever person. At times manipulative as well. His powerful lovers are no match to him. Tang Feng sure lead them by the nose. That's the funnest part.

Another element I love about the story is the interesting characters created by the author. Each have their story and unique personality. It is also fun watching the interactions... more>> between Tang Feng and his lovers and also his lovers' interactions with each other. Because they are all trying hard to get into Tang Feng's pants, lots of amusing things as well as dangerous adventures happened.

Tang Feng is a steadfast and hardworking actor trying to make it big in the dog-eat-dog entertainment industry. Needless to say he encountered lots of unpleasant incidents along the way. I enjoyed following Tang Feng's growth as an actor and a reborn person. I like how he stays true to himself and does not easily bow to pressure.

There are stories within this story. Mostly stories of films Tang Feng acted in. I think it's included to show us Tang Feng's ability as a talented and dedicated actor. Some of those stories are pretty interesting as well. I read this book in Chinese but if you are interested, there is a fan translation in English over here;. But the translation is still ongoing though.

By the way if I am to choose amongst Tang Feng's lovers, I would pick Lu Tian Chen. So who would you pick?

The MC is very mature and intelligent (as in, he makes logical decisions to make the best out of the situation he's in, so you don't feel like screaming at him for being dumb). Personal favorite scene: when one of the ML confessed, MC despite being somewhat fond of him, rejected him on the basis that ML is currently in a position of power over him and has done things to him he cannot yet forgive (selling him (or rather, the original body) to that s*x contract), and must work to gain his trust. I.e. MC is open to the possibility of getting together, as long as ML courts him seriously and they can have a balanced relationship.

Seriously, it's so rare to see a protagonist that respects themselves more than they love their ML. There are novels that have the MC starting out like this, but often they later make concessions for the ML because of love. In this novel, the MLs are the ones that need to grow out of their childish, egotistical nature to capture our MC's heart.

ngl, the MLs leave a lot to be desired. Some of them have their good moments, but most of the time they're, as the MC sees them, egotistical brats. But at the same time, they seem to show the aforementioned character growth, simply because the MC would never look at them as potential lovers without it. So there's hope that we'll end up with great characters by the end.

If you dont want to read a BL novel because of explicit narratives, I recommend you to read this novel. It is a sweet and warm novel. The protagonist is having his own harem without him knowing it (blame it to his high intelligence). And be amazed on how the author loves Robert Downey Jr as the character reference :D

Beside, who can't admire and envious of person like Tang Feng, who knew everything and care none but stand in the hall of fame. He is the most ideal who most people want to be. Aaaaaaaaahhhhh. I like this soooooo much.......

*ahem* So anyways, let’s get started.

True Star is a beautiful cluster of things BL. The MC is a beautiful cluster of individuality, talents, wittiness, and emotional fortitude. Although the fact that he acts and keeps himself calm all the time because of his heart disease do get too convenient sometimes but it doesn’t get overly ridiculous, imo. He wakes up after death, in another body, and get drugged and r*ped on the first day. “All is fine as long as I can enjoy the bath... more>> with TV” is his kind of reaction. Oh don’t get it wrong, he doesn’t sell himself. He develops this attitude at first because he has no support from anyone except the man he’s being forced to sleep with, Charles. He can’t get out of this situation so he calmly follows the flow and analyze his position. This may seem cheap but that was the best choices anyone could make, imo. It’s also so very satisfying to find that very man falls in love so deeply. He turns a bit annoying though but worry not, there’s another guy, his boss. The boss, Lu Tian Chen, at first, hates the original persona to the core. He detested him, u can say. He was also the one who sold the original to Charles in the first place. After he interacts with the MC for multiple instances, he takes an interest and starts falling in love too. This happens when the MC gets out of “having to sleep with Charles for a month” situation. The boss takes him in and granted, he falls. Unlike Charles who is overly passionate, he is rational and self restraint.

To this last east update, he hadn’t had s*x with the MC yet, although he does try to but to no avail as the MC firmly rejects the idea of sleeping with his boss.

He cares a great deal about the MC and doesn’t keep a grudge as he accept the new MC and decided to support him regardless of whatever happened in the past. He is a man that doesn’t let his emotions get too much of him and his business. On the other hand, Charles is devoted, passionate, and obsessive to the core. Both of them are possessive and loving and are a bundle of walking pheromones. They officially become mc’s male repellant so as to keep others from getting close to him, lol. The way they share and divide the mc’s love is hilarious but personally I prefer the boss over Charles. There’s also another possible candidate too but he’s not getting too far (because of the 2 bodyguards). Honestly, a lot of people complain that this is all just s*x. It’s true, there’s a lot of s*x. But there’s also a lot of infatuation and this is more of an adult love rather than fluffy or light BL actions. I wouldn’t want it to change.

The story also gives a focus to the drama behind the celebrity world and I have to admit, it was very enjoyable. I do not know if it is realistic or not, as I am not a celebrity and am in no way connected to them, but I still enjoyed the angst regardless. I felt like “Hey it’s actually interesting if the real world is actually this way”. It’s just an interesting viewpoint of celebrities and rich people. Not only that, this has been slightly turning towards a more dangerous side of things like the underground world and I would love to see more. It’s gonna be much more exciting if that happens is how I feel.

The characters may not seem likable for certain readers but they have developed personalities and individuality. They have different viewpoints and different priorities and that’s beautiful. The plot is exciting and keeps at a regular pace. The romance is not too slow but not too fast. The MC is op and a massive combo of delicious. The side characters do need a little more complexity.

Just go and read it because it was honestly better than I expected and I just love the MC, freaking queen uke getting all these favorite types of possessive semes. There’s both hot sexy actions and light subtle touches and whispers of love. It’s gonna satisfy the yaoi selves and those looking for an interesting enough plot line. <<less

To those people who are not into Boy's Love, this novel is still a very good read. Unlike other yaoi novels this doesn't really focus on the s*xual acts but rather on the character development of the protagonist and everyone around him. I like how the protagonist is strong minded and calm which reflects his actual age. Although in later chapters there are times that I find that the protagonist's personality is inconsistent.

I also would like to commend how the author slightly deviated from the usual transmigration by having... more>> Fiennes acknowledge the important role of the original owner of the body, Feng Tan by wholeheartedly assuming his identity. I find it dislikeable when the original owners in transmigration/ reincarnation stories are just thrown away into the tr*sh bin and incinerated when the MC takes a full attitude change. This is displayed by how the protagonist refers to himself as Feng Tan and not Fiennes. On the other hand the romance, in the side of the MC is still a mystery to me. <<less

This has to be one of the more well written novels I have ever read. The plot flows very well. Characters are interesting especially the main Feinnes-Tang. His calm and collected characteristics are what I think makes this unique and the better read compare to other novels.

There are multiple semes in this novel and each of them are quite interesting in personality and their back-story. The only thing that disappoint me (just a bit) is that Tang relationship with the semes are very open. Since I’m more of a OTP kinda person it did give me slight disappointment but the over all plot and characters make up for it all. XD

To be honest I am not one who likes transmigration/reincarnation novels where it’s the same world and time period as the MC’s ‘death’, but ends up with him taking over another persons body. But this was very well done.

You can see the MC and ML’s character development gradually from the beginning to the end. I loved the MC, and how he never let anything really get him down and how much he appreciated living, having a second chance with a healthier body.

100% recommend to anyone.

Having finished the first volume I can definitely give my recommendation.

MC is very chill, very much gives the feel that he's just happy to be here and to live his life-- which makes sense since it sounds like most of his life he had to deal with mounting chronic health issues that culminated in his early death at the height of his career. His rebirth is also same universe, so it's also interesting having him meet people who knew his Original self and are dealing with the sadness of his... more>> original self passing.

I do find that the novel glosses over some things I wish they gave more detail for (like intimate scenes), and it glosses over some of the more detailed parts of his acting I find. They still give the vibes, I'm going to say, but aside from knowing a bit about the character MC is playing I have no idea what each role he was in was really for. Is it bad? No, just personal preference lol

Going into volume 2 interested in seeing how they're going to develop the romance-- they have clearly established TWO possible ML's and have a few other possible love interests who also seem like the story could launch into an expansion to their personalities, so I guess forewarn that the friendship (and often skinship) develops early but romance could be slow burn. MC is slowly realizing that he really CAN form meaningful relationships in this new life, not just try to make up for the person he's replaced past.

Definitely worth a read, got quite a few laughs, very well translated <<less
