An ex-pro FPS player (♂) reincarnates in a fantasy world filled with magic… Only to learn that what greeted him was not a scene from one’s dreams, but a muddy battlefield full of bullets flying to and fro! Moreover, he’s now an orphan girl named Touri Noel?!

After her aptitude for healing magic was discovered, she decided to volunteer in the army as a second-class medic, all to raise money for the orphanage where she was born and raised. However, without even getting magic training, she is attached to an assault squad, repeatedly fighting on the most cruel battlefields on the Western Front.

The mission given to her was to become the personal medic of the frontline’s ace, Garback, and not let him die at any cost. But he turned out to be the worst commander, who will try to get results whatever the cost, even if it means the death of his subordinates!

On the front lines, mired in unreasonable orders and violence, Touri’s fierce battle for survival begins…

Amazing read. Even in a fantasy world with magic and superhumans, war never changes. Touri is a strong female protagonist, but far from a Mary Sue. She struggles through battles, loses comrades, loses loved ones, loses her morals, and gains nothing but PTSD. The characters are all great, with some exceptionally good standouts- Touri has enemies, but there are no real villains in war. It's hard to not get attached to people, but you learn the hard way that no one is safe and nothing is sacred. ... more>>

The plot is full of twists and turns, Touri finding herself thrown across multiple different battlefields in different roles. Still, she makes her way from a simple conscripted medic to an undeniable powerhouse on the battlefield. <<less

It's a good novel, so good I wasn't satisfied with translation that I read the Raws till the latest chapter. I would say this. Damn I wish I have money to pay the translator, and I know Japanese. In my readings I think the novel is about to end and if you read till the first part, It's like "it all make sense now!" and "now it comes full circle!" seriously, one of the novels I would recommend to everyone. As the other non-5 star reviewers I have to say I am somewhat confused what exactly in this story was so amazing that it deserves a perfect or near perfect 5 star rating that it overshadows the bad things to the point they do not even count as a demerit.

The entire story up to volume 3 can be summed up with: "Reincarnated FPS gamer god reincarnates as a woman in a world of swords, magic and guns. Now proceed to read several volumes of MC being a glorified luggage carrier/medic... more>> that gets completely unreasonable punishments and demands by her superiors while somehow surviving and seeing others dying."

So far there is pretty much 0.0001% payoff from anything, the reincarnated FPS gamer god has done nothing except doing triage and using "heal" every now and then... and fired ONE bullet.

I suspect this novel will either end without MC really doing anything other than being a focal point for us to observe the war from having barely any impact on anything aside from her immediate surroundings like any medic would in that situation.

The other alternative is that the novel continues at this glacial pace for about a decade and in the year 2035 the MC has developed enough to be able to take initiative in something, needless to say I will not be slogging through and brain-rotting more than this and give up on the novel here at volume 3, there are far more interesting and fun things to read if all you want to do is have "something" to read which this is, its "something" but its also 100% forced tragedy and gray bleakness without even a interesting setting.

Only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the translation itself is probably worth 3 stars at least, yes, the story is more or less -1 star and I wish I could have my time back to read something else instead.... and no if I have to read 4-5 volumes or something "before it gets good" then its not good. <<less

I’m not really someone who leaves reviews. I usually keep my opinions to myself. So I will keep it short.

This story was amazing and everyone should give this a chance.

I couldn’t stop reading. The characters and pacing was fantastic, and the scenarios were a detailed and realistic depiction of war.

It kept me in such suspense throughout the story, and always kept me second guessing how or if they would make it through.

Read it, you won’t be disappointed.

This novel really bring a lot to the table about War. When reading you can really feel the impact it bring. There a lot of arcs in this novel, some is very good, some is just mid, some is just peak. But there one thing I find it lackluster which is the ending arc, don't get me wrong, it is good but maybe need a little more "juice" to make it peak. Spoiler ahead:

I must say the build up of our MC vs Sylph is good, but we don't have much confrontation when it really come down to it, more like Sylph attack, MC is in awe, be passive and somehow still won. Wish there was more of the "showdown" between the two. Though through the reason why Sylph did those move, it make sense that our MC just stay on the passive. But there could be more, heck even the MC genius intution which play major role in the other arc just get side track in the final atc.

A really good novel if not a master piece, seems like all those low rating are just haters or fans of youjo senki and apperantly they really don't know how to read a plot. Story is build up with little to none plot hole, character development is just sooooo good that I even cried when a character died, the plot, the story, the world building and writing can even be said to be better than that of Youjo Senki. Both Fps and TS are treat as background to develop the... more>> MC, I don't get it why people being so hateful just bc MC is not overpower freak just bc MC have some gaming skill (bruh gaming skill is useless in real life), lmao those discord mods should just stick to those instant novel in which a clueless, overpower, poorly build MC with their shitty harem. Not hating on youjo senki thou, ys is also great but this one is on another level, so realistic that I stress out while reading it. It's the first one that make me so emotional and got a sleepless night. <<less
