Rape? Everyone are free to interpret that part. Some see it as something heinous while some just shrug it off as dubiously consensual. Me? I lean more to the latter considering that she suggested it herself even if not bluntly. The problem with it was that the ML did it too rough for our virg*n fMC to handle which might've turned off the others. I bet most people who are nitpicking about the so-called r*pe don't have any issues about it rather they just want to find something to nitpick... more>> since they must've expected Yuri instead of an actual straight romance. Evidence? Nah, there's no need for that since we all know how deprave readers can be as well as how toxic they become whenever things don't go their way. The storyline starts off a bit dark and becomes lighter as the story progress. To be honest, I don't really have much to say other than that I enjoyed it even if the romance is much darker than you think. <<less

It looks like this series was dropped, and honestly, it's for the best. The story has some "dark" moments, but in all honesty, it's just a really weird prelude to convince a TS who used to be a man in their previous life to get into a "romantic" relationship with Alto (the magic swordsman who is basically your stereotypical OP MC). The story doesn't really do a good job portraying the women in this story, and they pretty much serve as a foil for Fio (the heroine of the story).... more>> Alto is honestly a tr*sh love interest. Not for the reasons everyone else is talking about in their reviews, but because he doesn't really like Fio for who she is, but rather what she is for him (a nice lay).

Also worth mentioning, the translations are genuinely painful to try and get through. I literally had no idea what the hell was being said 60% of the time. Noises/phrases aren't really being translated in any particularly helpful way, and the grammar is suffering from stage 4 cancer. About the only thing that kept me reading was hoping to get my rocks off at the "raunchy" scenes, but barely anything is mentioned during/after. Would not recommend reading this, even if you're like me and are into TS stories with dark twists. This is just a waste of time. <<less

I'm giving this two stars, because I wanted to like it. I genuinely like the main character, Fio. She's fun. The r*pe scenes (There's technically two. The first one is particularly brutal. The second one isn't as bad but still) nearly scared me off. But I thought it'd be interesting to see how it affected the party dynamic. If it were meant to be a psychological drama, and not a weird rom-com, it might have been. But it's not. It might have been interested if the story had then been... more>> about the guilt eating away at the hero, but all his efforts to make it right are for naught (Because really you can't make something like that right.) while the MC dealt with PTSD from the event, maybe suddenly losing her sense of humor and being jumpy and nervous around the other male party members, who were up to that point, her friends in the group. While certainly a much darker, it would have been a deeper and more compelling story, with real meaning behind it.

Instead our gender bent MC (Who is btw very adamant about not being attracted to men in the first place) ends up falling in love with the hero, and they're sleeping around while trying to hide it from the rest of the group, because half the party are thots who would literally kill to get the hero's D. Still. Despite all these flaws, I still liked the MC as a character. Her personality is very entertaining, and her friendship with Birdie and Root gave me some "Chronicles of the Black Company" vibes.

Regardless of the many flaws this story has, I still managed to get invested. So the worst part to me is that it will probably never continue, as the translator stopped after getting in a car accident two years ago now. It's unfortunate, and I hope they made a full recovery, but I don't see anyone picking it back up now. So, if you can't read japanese, it's better not to get invested in this one. <<less

It was an okay read. The s*x scene wasn’t as bad as what other claim it to be. Compare to other smut novel, it doesn’t really go in depth and the whole thing is just describe as “this happen”. Some of the line was a little disturbing though so I guess that may have turn lots of people off.

I get what people are dissatisfied with. Even though he receives her consent, she reluctantly does it to save him from the pain, but he ends up hurting her afterwards. And it truly does make you a bit sick. But if you can look over it, you might get a really funny and kinda romantic love story out of it. There are a few reasons its not as bad as its made out to be which I'll talk about in the spoiler. But what I'm saying is, if he wants... more>> to take responsibility you should give him a chance. (But his way of taking responsibility was the bad thing, anyway, he does fall in love with her and she doesn't hate it either so it's not that bad.)

I know its hard to overlook something like r*pe, but if you understand the feelings of the victim, you might feel a little better about it. The person herself never really cared about her purity or anything, its just the pain that caused her to be dissatisfied with him. She used to be a man so she doesn't really think much of it. And later she agreed to become his lover because she ended up enjoying it somewhat, right? So although it was a bit forceful, it's not really as bad as people are making it out to be.

The main thing is that its a gender bender, and she used to be a man. He was in trouble and she decided to sacrifice herself to help him and he ended up falling in love with her. She did not hate it either so she agreed to go out with him too. He might have made a mistake in the spur of the moment but as long as he makes it up to her throughout his whole life, you should forgive him for it, cause she herself did too. And after that just enjoy the comedy of two unlikely people falling in love and their shenanigans.
