High school student Misumi Makoto is called into a fantasy world by the god Tsukuyomi, in order to be a hero. However, the Goddess ruling the world isn’t as thrilled to have him there, and kicks him to the edge of the world. Tsukuyomi declares that Makoto is free to find his own way after Makoto is abandoned by the other Goddess.

Well this is one of my favorites. I like it so much, I even completed reading WN (Which I never did before). I don't know what happened to author's writing, there are some chapters which are hard to read and makes want to skip them (which I didn't). This one has so much potential. I hope the author don't mess up. Even if the author did, I think I will stick to the end.

The novel is good, no joke. But after the author gone hiatus and all, I feel the author lost his way a bit here. Before that the novel is a masterpiece, but after that the story goes haywire. The author just want to stretch the story so that it doesn't end, that's what I honestly feel. I won't go to the details but the main storyline got abandoned, the stories just go on and on with just what I feel is side stories, even though there are proper side stories... more>> already. I feel like the author can just put those in the side stories instead. Well, I still love the novel though, just hoping it can be more focused on the main story <<less

One of my favorite web novels in the beginning MC is naive and dumb but as time moves on he slowly learns. Yet while he is learning he still tries his best tostay to his naive ideals of helping the masses, yet refuses to to take sides in the war. MC is often a very contradictory person but when he decides he wants to do something he puts his all into it.

I decided I wouldn't even waste my time, and reading some reviews here I'm glad I didn't. It's a pity tho, the story template was really nice. OP but clueless hero, soft harem, funny crew of klutzes around. Wish it would have taken this more Konosuba-ish route instead of going the path of serious hero business, edgy stuff.

It's not really my cup of tea, but I won't go out of way to complain about how f*cking bland it is. The story is pretty decent considering that I've red tons of garbage that reside in the same genre as this.

And as far as I know, the heroines are only two, which is Mio and Tomoe, which is pretty surprising. I do hope that it stays that way from now on.

The story pace is really slow, so I don't recommend it to people who like fast-paced. Next is the perspective, it's not always going to be the Protagonist that's in the spotlight, because the author is also putting some effort to humanize the side-characters and expanding world building. All in all, I really like the story, but there's some parts that I didn't like so I'm giving this a 4 star.

This is a novel that starts off fairly well, then turns into long stretches of dull with some bursts of good stuff.

It has some cool/interesting elements, but they are few and far between. Most of the time the story just drags and the overall plot doesn't progress. The main character Makoto is a mixed bag as well, he's not too bright, and usually behaves like the normal JP protagonist. As the series progresses there are hints that he's actually quite different (and interesting) at his core, he's just learned to... more>> behave more normally. But, after such hints, he just goes back to the normal JP protagonist thing and it's very disappointing.

When looking back at the novel, the good parts of the story are the only things that really stick out. So, I've got a more positive view of it now than I had while reading through it. The translator seems to be doing a great job, so there's no issue there. Ultimately, it's worth a read if you've got time and just skim through the dull stuff. You'll just miss them talking about food or some such nonsense. But it's not a story to read as each chapter comes out, very little happens to progress the plot. <<less

i don't even know where to start with this. Don't get your hopes up for any romance, MC refuses everyone around him because it reminds him of the girls that used to like from earth? His mum cheats on his dad with a demon and falls in love - yep it's total NTR. The mother has fallen in love with the demon but goes back to the father, who then proceeds to take her back without any second thoughts - ???? The goddess told her she can remove all memories of the demon, or even completely kill the demon, but because she fell in love, she refuses. That had to be the worst thing i've ever read. So instead, the mum and dad go to earth in exchange for one of their children to be summoned to the goddesses world.

of course, the OP MC will never use his brain. Just raw power. It's just so boring to read, even worse when the thickheaded MC refuses anything that has to do with feelings. <<less

it was fine... everything is ok.

points that I dont like about this novel:

  1. MC is immature (I dont know why he had to act like a bit*h first time when fighting someone, but then when trouble comes, he will suddenly get serious, just wtf man. if you know you're capable, then do so and not act like a b*tch)
2. MC shows his OP-ness, but completely makes his name/identity unknown (perhaps one of the reasons I hate this MC, why keep a low profile?). This is like a... more>> torture for me, I want everyone to know how OP he is, but he just gives false information about himself.

i can still tolerate his immature side and read, but if you really hate his character, you'll not last.

this is a first time that I dont recommend reading the novel, but instead just read the manga. seriously, when reading the manga atleast the MC act way better, but in this novel, you can totally see how much of a coward he is. <<less

I want to give 2 star but accidently push 3, cant be helped.

It has much potential but really the MC didn't grow at all. I mean like, he's a Leader and have some responsibilities but didn't act like a leader at all. There's a time he said "I'm too naive, I need to learn better" but no, he didn't improve at all and get deceived over and over again.

in start its quiet boring like other isekai but after around chapter 150 MC personality change up to goddess throw me to this world I have to do something to goddess throw me in this world I have to slap her face and teach her lesson and wrost possibilty she would die. I was about to give it 3* the reason was

1:- MC personality change so suddenly you would start asking is that the same mc?

2:-its boaring in start throw to another world start creating new village then new town.... more>> MC going around beating all one.

3:-even when enemy's try to kill him he's like wait we can talk right? <<less

I honestly love this series, it has a certain flavor to it that makes me want to come back for more. The chemistry between characters, their values, their desires, it really defines them really well and none of them are really that flat. Each has their own aspirations. Each character has his growth and when you see how it all comes together, its absolutely satisfying and I just love it.

but alas, its been so long since a canon chapter came out. I like the extra chapters... but I wanna go... more>> back to the main story-line and find out what happens next since we were still pretty much at a cliffhanger. <<less

How can I put this novel in words.... well...

Firstly, I just can not read any more.

Why?

-The MC has a personality... Hmmm... how can I say this... stressful? it may be that, that is, it gets me on the nerves, he basically does nothing, expected others to do it for him, and, honestly, he is very dumb, typical of genre light novels shounen, this is one of the factors that made me stop reading it.

-I really like OP's characters, however, this character makes his power crap, he does not do anything to improve. That is, the novel comes out of nowhere to go to nothing. This second reason resume very well all the things I wanted to write, so it is.

The first 10 chapters were good, but from then on, the ceiling began to fall, well that's why my note. <<less

i kinda forgot what chapter im in, but it is labyrinth arc

to begin with, this is the most humane MC i've ever read

MC doesn't want to kill? Of course he's just a normal teenager, it's not that easy to kill something right? Even I have trembling hands when I need to skin fish.. Although there is a point in story where MC snaps

... more>> next, MC doesn't always win, sometimes he win a fight but lose a war (Both in battle and politics)

and keep in mind MC aren't worthless, he is just living his carefree live, wanting to make a living from his hobby, and he choose to transported himself rather than his sibling.. Rather heroic right?

MC have followers.. Although there's typical cliche in light novel JP culture is the best!! Each followers have different duty.. It's a shame though, because MC didn't interact that much with his follower, in the later part of story MC just being like this

and there's good thing about this LN, not every antagonist are evil and sometimes MC party are the evil one, there's a scene in novel that goes like this

and remember!! MC aren't beta type character, there's a point in story where MC almost do it with one of his follower, I forgot what chapter this is but there's a very good reason they didn't do it. Dont forgot that MC actually try to "woo" a girl but got rejected

overall it's a good novel, like uncle benito parkeruto said, with great power, doesn't come great responsibility and so does makoto parkeruto live his life

P.S : there's many easter eggs, like raidou kuzunoha (SMT everyone or it's just me?)

P.S.S : Tsukkomi from TL actually pretty good <<less

well I do hate that MC always holding his anger, unless it triggered by something big...

BTW, is there any other release after ch. 295? is this series got axed or what?

There were so many times that I had to put down this novel in frustration. A lot of the early arks make you want to put youre face through a wall but after all of those times I kept comming back and giving this novel another chance. Good thing I did though because the series eventually gets really good again. This series has really slow character development which you only start to understand after at least 150 chapter (don't really remember when the series really started picking back up, close... more>> to 200 I think). Anyways if you can live through the pain you might find a novel you actually really enjoy but be warned you might rage on youre way there. <<less

The protagonist behaves like he's playing Skrim, clearing out all the sidequests, doing crafting stuff, and only occasionally returning to the main plot. It works surprisingly well despite that, but the pace ends up too slow much of the time. Has a number of interesting developments however.

Harem generates nothing but frustration as it never advances at-all, other than the female leads having their own plot development.

Super engaging and interesting. Hilarious interactions between characters, lots of badass/kickass moments and lots of room for the development of main and side storylines. Has depth and scope of events that happen in the world.

I'll get straight to the point. The MC is so spineless you'd think he was a hardcore M. However if you can get over this fact the rest of the story is a fun read. The first few chapters can be slow as hell but once you come to the 90ish chapters it becomes a OK story.

This is actually a good WN.

The protagonist is just a high school student who is practically not in need of any female to male activities. In short he is "gay" he's always near his male assistant and let the female ones go around the world for his convenience (he wants Japanese food).

Whats more is he seeks for his "fated one" "he himself must love" bu*t does not approach anyone. Dckless protag who is secretly op and secretly a mayor. The empire hero has more dck than he does and that... more>> hero used to be a coward.

I rate it 4 nontheless since its amazing <<less
