Turn-Based Wizard

There’s a saying that all real-time games are, in fact, turn-based games.

If you consider “doing nothing within infinitely small units of time” as completing a turn, then it’s true.

Sophistry, you say? I thought so too.

At least, until I found myself trapped in this insane game, becoming a turn-based wizard.

This is such a fun novel, love the power of the protagonist, love the fact that it has none of the usual sh*t that I hate about JP novels, like excessive slapstick comedy, or unrealistically kind personality. It also has none of the sh*t I hate about KR and CN novels, like boring-ass-stoic-super-tall-super-muscular "cool guy" protag, or a barbaric mu*derous protag who kills everyone that even glance at them.

But something about this novel confused me. Thing is, I tried to read the raw of this novel in alphapolis, but it... more>> was so damn weird. It's like a JP novel that's been google translated to EN, and then translated to JP again. You know how it is, super weird formal speak on every single sentence, every single character using the ichininsho (first person pronoun) "watashi" instead of "ore" or "boku" or whatever else that is usually in JP novels. Not sure what's happening. <<less
