When I thought that I had died, I realized that I was reincarnated in another world inside a girl.

However, the girl has her own consciousness. In other words, I seem to be possessing the girl.

That’s still fine. But why was the girl chained inside a prison cell? And specifically saying, she’s even too young to call a little girl.

After spending 10 years to escape, we live our life freely for our own good.

very late review, just came back to re-read the story & saw I did leave a review before. It's a very good story so far. I have read the mtl version when re-libary was not done catching up to the MTL version.

Spoiler

I'm kind of wondering if it's heading for a more of a yuri ending? (Thou no tags) The way Ceil messes with Ain at times in the bath & the way she seems to at times tease Ain. Seems like it's leading to the real reason Ceil wanting Ain to have a body is more to be able to have a face to face relationship. They already act like a couple & want to stay with each other forever, even up to becoming goddesses. Just my opinion.

The courtship letter leading up the academy is kind of weird part. Why put that in, if the MC's are not going to accept it. Best to just go with sending her as a quest to go after the person Fii wants dealt with & leave the letter part out. So sounds like author wanted to force the story to go the Academy route suddenly. Just a weird way to do it. Plus it takes away from what the Mc's wanted to do originally to visit the ocean at different places & the become a gods faster. Fii should know their goal by now, but yet says things like "endless opportunities to go to school in the future". How will that happen if they are pushing to ascend as soon as possible? "It's best for them to be able to travel freely between countries", I thought being her daughters basically makes her royalty & can cross boarders easier? So they have less time in the world before acceding, so better to let them travel & be hunters, then pushing academy way. JMO

The academy part is getting annoying.

I'd say the story is good up to before the part where they get the letter from the prince, then it just loses momentum & becomes a wreck. I tried skimming some of the chapters to see if it clears up, but just some of it doesn't make sense to go this route based off the goals of the 2 MC's.

I'm unsure about the most recent direction being the best for the story, but the first 70-80 chapters were pretty entertaining and make it well worth the watch. This may end up as one of the great starting stories with that fall flat. Still, so far my biggest annoyance is that the really good interludes were all but forgotten halfway through and when they came back the quality dropped considerably.

It is a fun read, and I really like the characters. Our MCs Ain and Ciel share a body, and their relationship is the central focus of the novel. They try to put a name to their relationship, but they find that they can't because neither of them can find a word to describe just how much they love each other in the way that they do, and as a reader, I agree with them. If either of them were to say they were just sisters, I would not believe... more>> them.

A really fun thing this story does is introduce several isekai cliches, like a thug picking a fight with them as they register to be an adventurer, and our MCs respond to this in a realistic way. They don't stealthily deal with the guy and forgive them like a bleeding heart MC nor do they brutalized the guy like an edgy MC. They deal with him, ask for compensation, and let the guild deal with it. When someone tries to kill them to save their family, the MCs don't hold it against the person, but they don't risk their lives to save the family of the person who just tried to kill them either. As someone who had read a lot of isekai stories, it was refreshing and entertaining to see these characters not react strongly one way or another to this stuff. Granted, if I had not read a bunch of isekai, I'm not sure how well their callousness would have sat with me. <<less

Very very good. The translation is one of the better I've read on the site and the dynamics between the two girls is so adorable.

It's really good. A bit dark at the early chapter but nothing to drastic.

Alternate world life but the MC shares a body with the orginal soul. Magic exists but the MC is locked into barrier and detection magic. MC can also buff by singing.

The story is cute and definitely worth reading. If you get through the first 12 chapters, you'll find it well worth your time.

Terrible. MC is tr*sh that keeps feeling sorry for himself at every step instead of talking responsibility for his actions and rolling with the punches.

Plus he folds like origami at any requests even knowing fully well he should stand his ground.

Gelatin has more spine than this guy.

Heel the 10 year old child has more mental fortitude and will than this supposed former adult.

I can't read any more of this... I makes me want to beat some sense into him.

Long story short: The author didn't think this through, it shows from the early chapters.

I am actually rereading this as I know I did go into that story a while back, but I couldn't remember the point I stopped.

So so far, I can say that the writing of the translation is very good, and the setting makes no sense except if you consider that the world exists around the protagonist, specifically to enhance how pitiful and put upon she is.

several examples, not spoiling past chap8:

Spoiler
    1. "evil dad" expects a god to be possessing his newborn. What does do? he isolate the baby in a cold cell, and tortures her everyday to "check". genius.
    2. The author describes years of stabbing the girl everyday, throwing assassins and monsters at her, trying to kill her via all means he can think of, but the instant the evil dad penetrates her with a finger and get a bit of blood is treated as some fate-changing moment, and the focus of the narrator is "what if she dislikes men". like years of torture before is nothing, and what's important to the narrator at that moment is for her to be able to trust men? seriously? "oh damn, what if the girl currently being tortured everyday is afraid of s*x with men later, that would be horrible" is how it reads... is this actually written by an incel?
    3. The world with "jobs". First description, first facepalm. So singers, even masters, are despised because... they are not useful in direct combat as their song benefits anyone who can hear? Of course it's mentioned they can heal or uplift spirits with songs, among other things, so it's like the author has not heard of bards, the guys who existed in every culture of every civilisation, or of medics, or of hospitals, or really, of any support role in civilian areas, DESPITE showing us how a singer who is a teacher/caregiver works awesomely. Free ideas: research area, intelligence song. School, concentration song. Construction site: strength song. Emperor court: rallying song. Discontent in lower classes: propaganda/happiness song. There. what the hell do you mean by useless?
    4. The author also visibly sets up a world of idiots who cannot for the life of them think of creative uses of their powers OR develop skills without powers (like, you know, everyone in the world).

Edit: I cannot go further, the setting is too s*upid to take itself as seriously as it does, the gender-norms pushed by the narrative is totally incongruous with the setting and the melodrama is just ugh.

Absolutely amazing series. I love both of the protagonists. Starts dark but slowly lightens up. Seeing the characters slowly improve their situation and regain some sense of safety in a cruel world is its best aspect. My only minor complaint is the central arc slows down the pacing a lot but that's only to be expected as there are quite a lot of things that happen at once.

Forgive me for my lack savory words as I feel like my vocabulary is not enough to describe what I felt when reading this, but if I must be forced to place a word to this I’d say “amazing”. Yes this book truly is amazing

The premise is interesting and the execution (world-building, elaboration of characters, dialogue, etc.) is relatively to-the-point but effective. The summary may not sound very interesting, but there is much more to this novel than 'escaping.'

While descriptive, the writing strikes a comfortable middle ground between detail and conciseness. For example, power systems play a large role in the story, but are not overly embellished, allowing elaborations to be organically added as the story develops.

The emphasis of this novel is on the interaction and relationship between the two main characters, which may... more>> belie the fantasy setting or gender-bender tag. Although there is plenty of action and magic, the novel spends significantly more time showing the development and thoughts of the two protagonists.

The translation is superb, far beyond the quality of most novels on this site.

Overall, a very easy and comfy read. <<less
