Every novel has a slag character, the one who decides to abandon the protagonist at his lowest, most helpless point, either because he can’t stand the poor guy’s circumstances or for other reasons. But after the protagonist wins his way in life again, they’re the ones who beg with broken sobs to be taken back.

Still, water once spilled can’t be recovered again.

Yet the unlucky Shen Jiayan has been bound to a Water Recovery* System to do just that.

*water recovery – comes from an idiom that means “spilled water can’t be recovered” (English equivalent: there’s no use crying over spilt milk).

If you choose to give this a go, don't expect any deep logic from this story, and prepare to level up your suspense of disbelief barricade.

It's also a great story for abusing your heart, but only if you first manage to self-hypnotise yourself to buy into what's going on.

I'll abstain from rating it, for now.

This is actually a entertaining novel. But I feel like It could be better. The skeleton of the novel seems really interesting but the flesh is so thin (imo). Some worlds the pace is too fast and the details are lacking; things that should have been very angst and sad aren't well written, it invokes pity but it's very fleeting. Some worlds the angst and the story are there (barely) but the world building is offline 🤷🏽‍♀️

I mean, I'm a crybaby and I just... more>> felt a bit of sadness. My favorite world was the Survivor game, I really like what the MC did for the original host 🥹

My **least favorite was the zombie arc, I just hated everyone there except LYF and ML. The story was a mess to me, the lack of details made it dificult for me to imagine the entire scene. It felt chopped.

**I ignored the 1st world because it was really bad, I just kept reading out of curiosity. Then the novel kind of entertained me a bit, so I kept reading 😆

Edit: I finished the novel because I was curious. And boy, how disappointed I was. As I mentioned earlier, the novel has good concept Arcs but it's poorly developed! Some arcs pissed me off with inaccurate/illogical scenes. Some plot points were not explained or completely forgotten or lazily explained 🫠 the final two arcs had interesting points but again, poorly written... I dumbfounded with the ending. I'm giving it ⭐⭐⭐ stars just because of the effort the translator put into it. Because, honestly, I feel like I wasted my time. <<less

I hate xianxia with exceptions, so when the xianxia arc showed up that killed a lot of my love for this. The xianxia arc is the 4th out of 7. I read it to the end of that one out of a sense of obligation and that's as far as I go. As to the preceeding arcs:

Business Arc - the og was a spoiled young master who fell in love and ran off with a man. But couldn't handle the rough life and ran back home. I liked this... more>> one, especially since the MC got dropped when the og had already abandoned the ml. 4/5

Actor Arc - og was a terrible actor who rode the coattails of the ML only to cheat on him. ML goes back in time and gets revenge. What I liked about this one was that the og was undeniably the bad guy in this situation. I liked how the MC twisted things. It was, however, predictable and not very imaginative. 3/5

Zombie Arc - og was a spoiled young master who caused trouble for everyone and eventually went nuts. The og in this one was very much wronged. Which made things interesting as far as how you quickly come to forget everything the og characters did once you get to know them. Zombie arcs are common in qt's but I don't usually hate them. This one had some fun little quirks, but I couldn't help but think they didn't use the unique qualities to the best of their ability. What takes this from 3-4 stars is actually the 2ml. I love the 2ML in a way where I think he shines best in the role he's given. 4/5 stars. The thing I appreciate most in this is that I adore it when a ML is soft for the MC. I love when they pamper and spoil them. I love when they are generous with their affections. Where the whole world could collapse as long as they have their lover. That might be my favorite type of ml, and this is the style of the ML in this novel. It's not enough to save it. But it's enough that I can recommend it. <<less

The first couple of arcs were pretty good in terms of actually following the summary - MC leaving the worlds protagonist at their lowest point, but after arc 2 or 3, it stopped being about that and more along the lines of MC’s bodies OG souls being completely misunderstood, and him being the one to clear the air.

For how short the novel is, and considering how it’s a QT (?) novel, you can expect quite a few plot holes in each arc. Each arcs ending is also pretty abrupt, with... more>> the extra an attempt to soothe everything over, but it doesn’t flow well in my opinion. I think if each arc had been longer, then it would have flowed better. But considering novel length and the amount of arc’s, it’s not as bad as it could have been. <<less

he want to make the ML to see his death to remember him. This is the most unfair. Its not clearly ML fault. So I don't get why his revenge is to torture the ML remembering him and his reason is that the ML didn't just love him because it's his old man wish to love him that's why he want him to remember him. Tbh. He act like a spoiled person in times of apocalypse, he didn't do anything thing, even if he get powers he didn't try to discover or try to help. He's hated by everyone coz the only thing he can do is act spoiled and ask ML to do this and that infront of his team mate and yet the ML still protect him. No matter what he did the ML didn't complain in that time. Whenever he's danger, he always disagree for his sake to not get harm (the client). The ML took revenge too after he died. The old team was the one who push him to die and give him suffering and the other leader is the one who r*ped him and yet not have good ending for him. In the end the ML suffer more for remembering this so called promises. What a joke 😀

ML only did what his client's father want for him and yet the burden he carry for 2 lifetimes (client &MC time) is much heavy than the client's unfair suffering. Lmao if there's negative ⭐ then ill rate that coz this is so unfair timeline for me. THE ML DONT DESERVE THIS, CLIENT SO SELFISH. Your eye's that you trade is not even worth🙁. I wish you both won't meet again😒

2ND ML of this story. He's worth for the MC but too bad they didn't have good ending coz the target is the client ml.

I can only say that I agree with most of the reviewers who said that this is pretty much average in many ways. It's a Quick Transmigration without a clear 1v1 relationship. Though--- Since the MC is the cold type with great acting abilities, rather than it being a novel wherein one character challenges one world after another. It feels like it's a bunch of short stories put together of CPs that are similar to each other but not quite the same? So yeah, the novel felt more like a... more>> collection of short stories than a single cohesive work.

Regardless of this, I still thought that it was interesting at first. If only because it was not at all what I expecting. Judging solely from the premise (the whole "slag man white-washing" thing), it seems like it's a novel with lots of angst and drama. But, things are a lot more convenient and coincidental than other Quick Transmigration novels of the same type. There's still angst, but it's not super heavy. Which makes sense, I guess, since the lengths are relatively short (around 10-12 chapters each).

All in all, I think this is not a bad read if you're looking to just casually waste time. I chose not to write a more complete review and left the novel unrated because I didn't get very far, but I think my rating for the novel would be around the 2.75-3/5 range. <<less

Taking quick transmigration literally is in this work but it's not weird at all. I feel like it was abruptly cut in the end at the same time it's not. Do you know what I mean? Anyways, if you want to cry then this is one of the novels for you.

Pretty ok. Ofc, it's short compared to other world hopping novels, but the arcs were fairly interesting and unique and they also ended satisfactorily. The ending of the whole novel though was alright, I wanted more of course but the ending was acceptable.

1st arc is just really a prologue, not much depth but enjoying.

2nd arc was fun but like the TN said, ML was a bit pitiful cause the OG was really black bellied, happy about the dynamic here, idrk if this was also the Leaf God (ML) ?.

Arc 3, aw, this was sad, but I love apocalypse genre and I love how the supposed shou liked Shen Jiayan, also I think SJY's abilities was too nerfed here lol I thought the flower had some meaning...

Arc 4 Heh, satisfying for the villain, this is where Leaf God starts to become noticeable? like when we realized there's gonna be a single ML in the next worlds cause of the orchid tattoo, I don't have much comment about the ML being a monk... considering I read one where ML is the God and shou is the devout or smthng 😅, this was fun, I love blackened MLs.

Arc 5 also have a soft spot for them cause I love games, and this was focused on the game and the interaction between the audience were funny and the face slapping too, ML was also OP and cute here.

Arc 6, I have to say, cultivation is not my genre but it was still fun cause of the feelings of the people being all over the place HAHAHA they don't know who to like and all, ofc ending was sad, also a bit sad that there wasn't much time to reflect or move on from this arc..

Arc 7, last arc, I definitely anticipated a voice artist kind of world when SJY said that the voice was very good HAHAH not my type, I have to say.. But it was a bit different cause of the face and fake orchid tattoo. I guess they needed this calming last arc for their relationship.

It's good but the arcs were short, very short. The development of every arc is very fast and simple. For example in the first arc, there's almost to no conflict. The MC doesn’t even clash with the MC's supposedly "lover", bruh. Im not also satisfied with the ending, I was like "is that it?". The MC just transmigrate then act wronged spoiled young master, and boom the ML fall for him again. The MC died because of saving the ML, then the end. It takes 7 chapters bro 7 chapters... more>> to finish the first arc, I just can't stand it. So yeah am going to drop this, thanks <<less

Yeah... I don’t even know how to rate this. It just wasn’t good. I can say with confidence I’ve read almost every quick transmigration story out there. And this one was one of the least impactful, and most unsatisfying. Each arc felt rushed, so much was left unexplained.

But... is the mc's name in the first arc Shen Jiayan, Shen Diyu, or Shen Qiyu? One is the MC and one is who the MC is playing but why the third name?

Other than that, it's cute so far. As someone else mentioned, I'm not completely sure whether or not the ml's in the first three chapters are the same person or not. Although I'm guessing yes, since as of the third ml, they're getting progressively more fond of the MC. ... more>>

I'm kind of sad, the ending wasn't really satisfying It was kind of quick in a sense, no time to immerse myself. The ending is told from a side character and usually that's ok if it's done right but this wasn't really done right so it's whatever.

in my Opinion this deserves a 5.8/10

what makes it good is that it's relatively short. It tries to be very tragic but there's not really a lot of satisfying face slaps for me but at least the characters weren't dumb and there was consent.

some... more>> plots and arcs just didn't go the way I would want or interesting I would say So if this was even drawn out a little bit this will become one star material I wouldn't necessarily recommend. <<less

I really enjoyed the simplicity of the novel. I can just turn my brain off and read. Beware that it’s not clear whether in the first ~3 worlds if the ML is the actual ML. There were also some big plot holes and I didn’t like how sometimes the punishments of the bad guys were rushed or forgotten totally, for example if mom, dad, and brother tortured the original host MC only got revenge on the brother. The ending was also underwhelming as MC and ML backstory, origin story or... more>> afterlife after going through all the worlds isn’t described at all and we only get a chapter describing what happened from a third party. <<less

Kept me interested enough that I finished it. It wasn't bad, pretty good, but not amazing.

Initially it kept me surprised because it subverted my expectations of what would happen based on popular BL tropes.

In the first arc for example, we find out that the ML ends up with someone other than the MC, so I was expecting the typical face slapping trope, where the "other man"s evil and cunnin nature is slowly revealed, and the MC eventually face slaps him to get the ML.

However, when the MC confronts the "other man, " he's simply like, "oh ok sure, you like the ML? Aight cool, ill give up on him, no biggie!

So it did subvert my expectations and kept be surprised, but it was also a VERY underwhelming resolution.

In addition, the MC is is VERY passive. He just goes along with the plot, and the ML just kinda fall for him just like that..

So in every arch he ends up 'winning' either because of luck or outside factors, or because ML takes care of it for him. He never really does anything significant himself to achieve things.

ie. In the 'Survivor' arc, he initially doesn't die because the evil bunny monster just.. Likes him.. Just like that. Then he wins the competition because ML wins it for him. Finally, the "other man" gets face slapped because.. The netizens decide to do all the work and investigate all the evil things "the other man" did and exposes it. The MC doesn't even know and never initiates anything or did anything to trigger this.

Because of thins, the general characteristic of the MC comes off as kind of a very mild gary-stue thats clueless and innocent. Now there is nothing wrong with this, but if thats what you're gonna base your MC on, he needs to have some character development, or you know.. Actually FIGHT for righteousness etc etc.

Again, all these cons weren't to the point that I didn't enjoy the story. They are mild complaints, and overall it was still good enough that it kept me reading till the end. Still, these cons did slightly bother me as I was reading, and so I did have to 'kill a few brains cells' to immerse myself and enjoy it. Hence 3.5 <<less

the whole QT is interesting but if you want to enjoy the whole novel you have to leave your braincells because every arcs plot are full of holes. The author is good at pulling the angst and drama because you can feel the heart wrenching emotion by just a few words. Seriously, while reading I was trying my hardest to comment "s*upid" on every chapter till I got numbed and got used to it🙄

It's a very light QT. I liked the character whump in some of the arcs. It's just that it feels more like a C-tier QT. Not bad but not that good either. I'm not as invested in the MC and its missing a compelling overall story arc. We don't get any clues that the ML is the same person in each world as far as I've gotten anyway. So it pretty much reads as MC drops into a world, gets... more>> things done. Feels some type of way towards ML then moves on lol. I had to come back to read reviews to know that there really is only one ML lol <<less

What's good about this novel is that it is pretty simple and short, providing you your quick QT fix if you like such genres.

However apart from that, I felt that everything else is a minus. There's also alot less face slapping than expected, and yes the ending sucks too.

Dang, at times I almost cried a river!

The arcs were quite short compared to the other QTs I've read but the stories were quite interesting and managed to snag my emotions well.

Both MC and ML were super cute together. Originally I was slightly hesitant after reading reviews on this having a rather abrupt end. But while it was quite rushed, for me it was explained enough I guess. Just happy that I got to read about them.

This was frankly a nice read!

The premise is good at the start but the writer could not completely execute it well. If you are interested, there are better stories written with the same logic - I would suggest you try those. The story got pretty boring around arc 3, plus all the changes in the translator pages didn't help to keep the interest. I think arc 5 was interesting but arc 7 was far too complicated for the final arc. I think one thing that drove me crazy from the start was that the main... more>> protagonist name even in the arc story which for me caused too much irritation. Like really since the protagonist is in an arc living someone else's life, just use that person's name why do you suddenly bring up the protagonist's real name. The ending was abrupt and confusing even though they tried to tie it up.
